Champions League fixture against Napoli is still two weeks ahead. Barcelona have enough time to play their best players in this game. Before Napoli fixture, Barcelona also have to play Mallorca at away game. That match will be more of a challenge due to Barcelona's awful away form. But Sociedad should be comfortable win for Messi's men.

the match against Real Sociedad will take place at Camp Nou (Barca home) it's hard for Sociedad to win and even draw in this match.  Barca will certainly try hard to score a lot of goals in this match, so they win points (goal difference) from Madrid..  IMO, this match will most likely end with a score (3-0) for Barca victory.

Few hours to go but 3-0 for Barca is too optimistic imo unless Real Sociedad screwed it badly which is not the case in their latest games.

the two are strong, I think this match will end in a draw and no more goals added. It turns out that in the championship, sevilla is superior in the 3rd position and currently Athletico is in the 5th position and I think this competition is fierce too with Sevilla and Getafe.

You got it right. Barcelona were even so lucky to win that Penalty kick late in the game. It looks like Suarez's absence is really affecting their attack. The new signing doesn't seem to barca's solution as they thought.

Yeah, it was very difficult game for Barca. And absence of Suarez is serious problem for Barca which won't be solved until the end of season. Nobody expected that Braithwaite can replace him, but I don't know what to think when player from Leganes looks much better than Griezmann on the pitch.

Braithwaite looked just fine on the pitch. He is already linking up good with Messi which is what makes or breaks new players at Barca since almost every single attack goes trough Messi. Actually I was quite disappointed with Real Sociedad yesterday, I expected more in the attack from them. Barca had some nice opportunities and Messi could have scored few more goals.

@slaman29 Barcelona performances are only going down the drain under Setien, and I won’t be surprised if they sack him at the end of the season. In my personal opinion if Barcelona do not win the La Liga or the Champions League then this season shall be considered a disappointment by the board, and the team and maybe this will finally expedite the transfer of Neymar to Barcelona.

I can't say that our performance is going down, but there is no significant improvement under Setien. But there is few aspects to justify it, like absence of Suarez. I don't see current Barca winning Champions league and title race with Real will be very tough. Obviously, in summer, some serious changes in squad will be needed. Personally, I don't want Neymar, especially because of his often injuries. Though, currently I watch Barca 6:1 PSG highlights(this game happened exactly 3 years ago), which was probably best game in Neymar career and it bring me good memories.
If Setien will not win anything, I think he will be sacked. I see him more as caretaker until the end of season and I don't understand why he got such long contract.

Real Madrid is a big fat joke of a club  what's the point of winning the El Clasico then one week later you lose to low tier Real Betis?
It makes no sense at all.

The team is lacking goal scoring opportunities, they have a host of good talented strikers, but they are not being given enough time to play ahead of Zidane's best friend Benzema. It makes me wonder why they had to waste the money signing Jovic and Rodrygo then.

So, Real lost to Real Betis 2:1 and Barca again on the top of table. Unfortunately, I didn't watched this game, but I expected for upset here - I had 1:1 prediction on Superbru.
This season we have one of the most interesting title race in recent years - both clubs are so close to each other and leader is changing so often. But at the same time I feel that both Real and Barca are lame ducks - they are vulnerable and don't show their best football as we used to see in previous years. Usually La Liga winners finnish season with over 90 points. This year probably it will be around 80.

What a shame! How can Real lose against Real Betis? To be honest, as a Madrid fan, I am very disappointed. I also didn't watch the match, but luckily I didn't see the poor match. I just saw the match statistics, and I'm surprised that Benzema was still the starting player. Even worse, Zidane put Lucas Vazquez and make Bale + James Rodriguez on the bench. I don't know what Zidane thinks about at that time! It's really a surprising thing.

Honestly I feel so bad that the lads are rotting away in the bench without being given any chance especially for Rodrygo and Jovic. Come Champion's League, you will see Benzema again on the starting lineup, and he may play 90 minutes of uninterrupted football and then you wonder what the use of the back up strikers is.
He literary doesn't feel any pressure at all for his position in the team.

It may be true.  
Really it is a bit strange! After he didn't do anything in the previous EL Classico, what for put him again on the starting lineup? It is much better to give more time for Jovic or Mariano to play. While sending Benzema to the bench to warn him. Who knows after sending him on the bench for several matches, he will play better as a pure striker.

I think the same as you. I doubt he will be back on the starting lineup. Not only you and me, I assume all Madrid fans around the world are probably very worried currently. Benzema seems like a nightmare and Zidane is getting worse to choose starting players. I think we don't hope too much for Champions League trophy with this condition.

Now, I don't wonder anymore. I understand that they may become extra supporters on the bench. And those players only have a chance to show their skills once they are in training matches.

@Juggy You guys know how critical I am of Barca, even being a fan myself. And I said yesterday maybe it's even a good thing if we just keep being so bad and don't win anything. The problem is always being bad and still winning, as all the teams know this leads to long-term slumps like Man United and Chelsea.

But then Real give us a lifeline by losing!

I am so sad to see Real Madrid losing the championship when they keep it on their own hands.
They are better than Barcelona during this season but they keep losing the "easy" games when they are on the top of the league table and they should get only wins. I think that they lost the championship now.

big disappointment, it was a game that showed that real Madrid is slowly falling if not changes urgently. I think that when a coach wins a lot with good players and then those good players leave the team, the best thing that the coach should do to save his reputation Is leave the club. Now barcelona is in first place and probably will not leave this place for some time or maybe even become a champion

I have to admit it was a disappointing performance from Madrid.
Like i have always reiterated, Madrid has been inconsistent and that has been their own undoing.

It is hard to understand Real Madrid performance for real! Sometimes winning VS big teams while losing VS weaker teams...
Now they missed the first rank with 2 points from Barcelona and if we add the fact that the next couple games are harder for Real Madrid than Barca then returning to the first spot in March is not obvious, unless Barca screwed it badly!

 I honestly imagined Barcelona getting back eventually because it was a close difference and it was just one game mishap and the title run would have switched again (Like it happend now) but wasn't expecting it to be this quick and wasn't expecting it to be to Real Betis. However considering we are talking about Real Madrid, who would have realistically beat them and would be normal and expected? Maybe barcelona but that game is gone so there is really no other team that can beat Madrid and would have been "expected" they are expected to win against every single team but Barcelona if you ask me so the loss coming from Betis is not really that weird than any other team.
