Barcelona now looks like Arsenal or Manchester United. They get lost in their strategies and get big failures on the pitch, leagues, transfers. They spent too much money for transfers but their results on leagues (national League or Champions League) are very poor.

Barcelona in few seasons recently are very unstable and weak to attacks of opponents. They can get big wins but not too long later will get their fans very disappointed with big losses. They are all not good, and stable for long runs (in leagues or tournaments). The time of Messi is ending and Koeman or Barcelona can not rely on him to rebuild the team.

If they win a title, it might be a last one for this generation of players. AC Milan got their last trophy with Ibra but they only slipped down till the return of Ibra in second half of last season.

Another bad news from FC Barcelona. We all know about their tense financial situation but it appears that they now have to force massive cuts to their players wages otherwise the whole club could go bankrupt. Source

Crazy to see what's going on at Barca right now. I thought that after Bartomeu left, the club would finally stop to generate bad headlines but it looks like the problems go much deeper. It could really be like you said and their sporting success fades more and more in the next years (especially once Messi is gone).

Could this be the downfall of FC Barcelona, the quality of players has drastically dropped, it's management board set for a planned resignation and they've been performing rather poorly at the games. Imagine how Alaves managed to hold them down to a 1-1 draw with Deportivo Alaves having just 10 men on the pitch. The red card seemed not to make a lot of difference though, the final minutes of the game was tensed, lots of shots and a lot was on target but, Fernando Pacheco had all his net in check.

Real Madrid seems to be having a pretty much go in the league, winning yesterdays game R. Madrid 4-1 SD Huesca and now tops the league with 8 points clear from FC Barcelona and 2 points clear from Real sociedad at second place. FCB really needs to start winning matches.

I also never understood why Barcelona appointed that coach Koeman. He has only failed all the clubs where he has coached. Were better alternatives.
First step must be to get rid of Griezmann. He is not even a shine of the player that was so successful for Atletico Madrid.

I was also speechless seeing Barcelona's poor performance, Barcelona should have won against Alaves, especially when Alaves got a red card.
Like Barcelona players have experienced a decline in quality, I even doubt that this season Barcelona can enter the top 3. Very different from
Real Madrid's very convincing appearance. Now Barcelona is ranked 12, with the last 5 matches in La Liga only managed to win one. It's the

huh, Alaves have it pretty easy at home, they just need to go all-out attack in the first half of every match, score and then they're pretty much garanteed a good result LOL

anyhow, three more matches today, but i'll keep my eyes on Betis - Elche. The former are going through a rough patch right now (1W in 5 matches), they'll face newly promoted side Elche who are unbeaten in the last 4 matches. Still, i'll back the Green-and-Whites today, this is probably the most winnable match they've had in the last month in terms of quality of quality of squad, players, etc of the opposing team...so surely the 39 years old legend Joaquin got the team motivated as hell to get the 3 pts, no? go, warriors!

the teams go first of all to reduce the salaries of the players and club employees, do not make transfers. plus some of the club's payroll was unloaded by selling players with a big paycheck. I think they will continue to play games, but there will be tight control of the players' health.

That's right, but income from TV rights is especially high from bars and clubs and many will have to close their doors or, at least, reduce the capacity by at least a %50, so it's no longer profitable the ROI for them if they have to pay these rights.

Rights from particulars will keep on giving high income, but there will be a loss for them, anyway.

Seriously, this is our worst start since 2002 and that wasn't even the season I remember the most for being shitty, but if we have to force ourselves to fight back and only to get one point? Yes, I know it's Alaves at home and they are sometimes our bogey team but when you give away a goal like we did, impossible to get the confidence unshaken.

@slaman29 yesterday I was expecting Real Madrid to lose their match, but they surprised me by winning it, and on the other hand I believed that Barcelona would easily win their match, however it looks like their poor form continues. Furthermore if the results don’t improve for Barcelona then Koeman will be facing the sack, as the presidential candidate Victor has made it clear that he wants Pep or Xavi to coach Barcelona.

Look like your decision to fight with Betis is the right decision, 27" Tello add another goal for Betis and now leading 2 - 0. From the shots data, till 30" Elche still failed to makes any shot. Elche need to do something for their attacking proccess. If not, they will be more hard to create a goal on the 2nd half. I agree with you, Barcelona needs drastic change. Taking about performance definitely teams are getting worst which the board and coach didn't want to admit, yet the outcome are demonstrating so now. This is what you can expect when our coach Koeman doesn't rely on our most ideal players in the field. However, The players need more chemistry because they’re not linking up!

You are saying this like it is a joke but it has been a while like that. I mean sure it is technically not like that and as we have seen from the last president if you do not do what Messi says you have that right, he sent Suarez away, so you can actually do what you want but if you do not get great results that mistake of going against Messi will be end of your job. Which is why Messi has been the owner and everything of Barcelona for a while now.

However even if it hurts the team right now or not, Messi being everything to this club makes sense, this is the same person that took Barcelona from a regular good team into sextuple in a season type of team, he brought in sooooo many cups and I think he deserves to have this much influence over the team he brought in so much.

I agree with having Pep back, but not Xavi... Xavi wouldn't do any better than Koeman is doing right now, but with Pep  I would expect a new team construction, which is the only thing Barca needs right now.

I don't know but I feel ATM can do something in La Liga this season. Simeone shouldn't miss that opportunity seriously! Real isn't at its best form and Barcelona struggling to win. I would say it is now or "never"

Yeah, i heard something about this while watching the match. Barcelona has the worst start of the season, during first 5 matches from the last 15 years if i remember correctly. They had 2 tough matches against Real and Sevilla but to drop 5 points against teams like Getafe and Alaves is just unacceptable.

I don't think Barcelona have any chance to be in the top 3 in this season. They have to chance their game strategy. I think their lineup should also change. Messi and Grizmen are not doing well together. Koeman should be more concentrate on this. Grizmen miss many easy chances. It is totally unexpected from a good player. He has to working hard more.
If someone ask me, who is the best player in Barcelona right now except Messi? I would undoubtedly say it's Ousmane Dembele. I personally enjoy his gameplay much.
