That's bad for Barcelona.. They lost Messi and now Aguero. It seems he has health issues, cardiac one precisely, thought for a while that it was related to Xavi arrival but couldn't figure the link.

To be honest, I wouldn't touch any game of Barca at least until the Christmas break. Until now, they are unstable, a total disappointment, and all their results are a "mess". So IMO it's better to avoid betting on Barcelona.

Same condition here. I'm not interested to place bets on Barcelona games for a while. They are fully unpredictable team now for their bad performance. Barcelona in LaLiga have pretty same condition like Manchester United in Premier League. Both team has destroyed the expectations of their supporters and spectators.

LOL, I hope you will watch something different today from Barcelona after Xavi took over from Koeman.
You might be able to compare Manchester United and Barcelona simply because both teams have performed poorly in their respective competition so far. Yes I have to admit that Barcelona were not good enough before in the hands of Koeman, but there is a lot of hope that they still have this season to improve their playing form. Xavi's first match as a coach is only 1 hour away, I will enjoy this match vs Espanyol.

I think xavi will return Barcelona's style of play or gameplay to the way it used to be, because when the style of play or gameplay was changed in such a way by their previous coach, Barcelona seemed to lose its characteristics and strength on the field. So I'm sure with xavi now Barcelona will be like that but for the start, I personally don't expect a lot of goals because I think with xavi being able to give victory in this early match basically that's enough.

It seems to me that in order for the "old" style of Barcelona to be effective, it should only be used with a superstar line-up. In my opinion, tiki taka has already exhausted itself and now any disciplined team can easily resist this style of play (massive defense + quick counterattacks is all that is needed).

I think for tiki taka to work a team needs some really big players in the team who can also understand each other and complement each other. Without death, tiki taka is really hard to make work effectively. But if done well it can be really and dependable at times. But I highly doubt that Xavi is going to you use that style with this team.

I think for tiki taka to work a team needs some really big players in the team who can also understand each other and complement each other. Without death, tiki taka is really hard to make work effectively. But if done well it can be really and dependable at times. But I highly doubt that Xavi is going to you use that style with this team.

I am quite surprised that Aguero decided to retire from football this season. I know he has a problem with injury, but can't believe that he decide to retire now. Sure, it is a bad news for Barcelona, but they must deal with this situation. However, they still have some other good strikers.

Xavi is trying to achieve something that is basically a whole turn around and maybe he could actually achieve that. I will bet on Barcelona, it will not be an easy game and it will not have a good result right away but I am pretty sure that we are going to have a good case here for betting on Barcelona no matter what angle you look at it.

Retiring from football was the right call to make. If there's a chance that he can mitigate his health problems by trading off the remainder of his football career, then by all means he should.

Talking about La liga favorites, it's been a while since I got impressed by La liga big boys. At this rate, we might no longer have top dogs and the underdogs in the la liga. Big teams keep dropping points against teams they should easily win.

Now the Barcelona vs Espanyol match enters 75 minutes, and Barcelona is still ahead by one goal. Hopefully the remaining 15 minutes Barcelona

I feel bad for Aguero, especially on retiring from football due to a health condition. No player ever deserves such a kind of retirement, but that's beyond his control right now.

Barcelona won't miss him that much because he barely played for them. January transfer window is a round the corner. They may try to shop for some cheap strikers as the pockets are still shallow.
