same thing happened last year where they started pretty good throughout the first half of the season but failed in the end to maintain a qualifying spot for the champions league, but this year could be different since we see Atletico Madrid, Barcelona doing bad this season, Sociedad could make it and qualify this year, they have good chances to be in top 4.

If you see Atletico Madrid giving a bad performance again, it is likely that together with Barcelona will be eliminated first before getting into the top 4 which they expect sooner. Seeing that Sociedad's position is also actually threatened for Real Madrid, followed by a slight difference, and of course it hasn't made it safe in the standings now.

I didn't think that Real Sociedad could show such aggressive performance in every match. In fact they are consistent to stay afloat.

Exactly left twenty minutes although Elche got red card and played with ten player can make Real Madrid defender more busy how to protect attacking from Elche forward. Real after starting the season a bit badly, are looking very fierce right now. Their main problem was the defense and Anchelloti seems like he has sorted that out. And Vinicius had been phenomenal upfront. Even without Benzema, he has proved himself again. If I'm not wrong, he has 9 goals in 13 matches. And Sevilla also played very well and got the home win. I really can't believe how long they waited with sacking Koeman. To be fair, he didn't have the Fc Barcelona at hand that it used to be five, six, seven years ago, but still he made a number of horrible decisions. Best example: Suarez... on the other hand the home game against shakhtar will be a distinct advantage for madrid because they at least get full support. on the other hand the massacre in the first match will make them more confident because it is possible at this time in group D Shakhtar is one of the weakest clubs

Today, both of the top teams, Sevilla and Real Madrid, won their games. Real Madrid beat Elche 2-1 away. In the absence of Benzema because of an injury, Vinicius Junior did a really great job by scoring two goals. I know that he is a really talented player and I like to watch him when he shows his talent in the field. And Sevilla did what Real Madrid couldn't do against Osasuna home by defeating them 2-0. After these results, Real Madrid have taken the lead with 24 points and Sevilla are the 2nd and have the same points.

All of the favourite teams except Villarreal managed to win today. Villarreal were a favourite also but they stumbled big time against Valencia today in this away game. Now, Barcelona are playing against Alaves in Camp Nou. And the current score is 0-0. We are nearly at the end of the first half and Barcelona seem to be dominating the half. But they have only 2 shots so far this is not too good. But I still expect them to win after the manager change by one or two goals here.

It's official Barcelona have sacked Koeman as it's team coach, it's being a long time coming, but the question now is WHO would be the next manager, and I've been reading about Xavi being the next coach (till the end of the season.

First the loss in the El Clasico and this defeat today. This was the final straw I guess. I really don't know whether the problem is mostly about the manager. Because most of the players are quite new to this league and they are trying to adapt to play as the Barcelona we know. But of course, I'm curiuos about who they will bring to manage the team.

It's not funny. Koeman should have been relied on when he was the team coach. And the president of the club should not say at least in front of the journalists that he does not trust the coach. This leads to internal strife in the club. Moreover we all know that the relationship between Laporta and Koeman was not good. Even then, if he had slandered the coach at the press conference, the coaches and players would have become more emotionally unprepared. After a long time the club management made a good decision. They have bigger possesion of the first half in this match i think 72/28 but they arent playing really well and not creating any chance so far in the game. While Alaves cant even go over the half of the field and is just defending. Barcelona needs to step up its game in the second half

Although in the first half Barcelona could not score at all, but I feel there is something interesting from his performance so far. They played pretty well and managed to create some chances even though they still failed to find the net. It was clear that I wanted them to score in the second half and win the game. But unfortunately Aguero had to return injured. It will be a loss for Barcelona. I hope Coutinho can find the net today.
