The current look of the standings is really interesting. Real Sociedad are the leader now but they have an extra game played though. Still, it proves how much good they are perfoming in this season. If they manage to keep this effort and performance up till the end, they can end in top 3 places in the worst case I believe.

I don't know why bookmakers are giving such high odds on a Barcelona win, but I will definitely take advantage of it! I'll even bet on Barcelona to win with a handicap (-1) for 2.4... Of all the personal meetings Rayo Vallecano has beaten Barcelona only 4 times, the last time was in 2002... Other times Barca has won and often with a big score! All the more reason for them to gain points!

I think facing Athletic Bilbao will give a positive result for Real Sociedad and return to being the leader of the standings until next week, Sociedad will be very easy to get three points against Athletic Bilbao, but on the one hand Madrir will also play unseeded teams Elche and Madrid it is very possible to get the full three points on this trip. If Sociedad fail to win they must be in second place if Madrid are able to get three points from Elche.

Actually, Atletico Madrid were close to winning last night but they were devastated by the goal came in the 90th minute.

Real Sociedad's performance is getting better every season because if I'm not mistaken they in the 2019-2020 season also sit in 6th position in the standings after that the 2020-2021 season occupies 5th position and now they are also very good at starting this season.

their front, middle and back lines are very balanced even without players labeled superstars but they are very consistent and it's not impossible when they continue to maintain this kind of performance they can compete at least to maintain the top 3.

First as said, they have chaos situation and second they have some important players who are injured and have yet recovered. How it can be possible to change for the better a team in a day or two? Xavi has a magic stick and we don't know about it?
The only improvement that we might see, will be from them and only them at least for now. Psychological (since the team is still the same that plays badly) almost all the teams after changing manager/ coach, shows an "improvement". If they become better due the new manager, will be shown in few weeks.
Real Madrid needs to be more than serious and grab the chance to take a small advantage from the rest contenders. I can't say though that I'm convinced that they will make it easy...

I really can't believe how long they waited with sacking Koeman. To be fair, he didn't have the Fc Barcelona at hand that it used to be five, six, seven years ago, but still he made a number of horrible decisions. Best example: Suarez...
