Leaving What Mane has won also let's not forget a female also got to win an award.
The Barcelona attacker won the CAF Player of the year Oshoala of Nigeria.
She has been outstanding no cap, she gives it her best every year.
In some way, I think that these awards are significant for Africa, and I like that these players are recognized, because this makes the little ones, the children, see that example in the players and athletes and want to imitate them, I know that it is an issue that It is not very controversial, but we must see these things from the most positive point of view, awards and recognition should always be flattered in the best way, I also see that the female soccer player also gets good recognition and that is something very worthy, and I hope they continue to get more, but I think that despite all this, the best future of the players will always be in Europe.

The African continent is in need of some role models and hero figures so that the next generation is encouraged to be motivated and passionate about playing football. I have to say very few players are like that in the African region. And yes I agree that the long-term future of any player is most likely to be in Europe but if no one actually does anything about improving football in Africa, the improvement and recognition are not going to be rapid. By the looks of things, it is going to take a lot of time for Africa to actually get recognized as one of the premier football-playing regions.

I would have simply gone for Didier Drogba, Mohamed Salah, and Sadio Mané. But this means that I would be unfair to some uncommon midfielders and defenders because I might be basing my selection based on goal scoring and not general contributions to the team. Although not given the right respect and recommendation, Yaya Toure was the pillar and engine room of Manchester City. He was one of the greatest midfielder Africa has ever produced. Although, Sadio Mané is a Liverpool legend but I would give my third slot to the Ivorian maestro Yaya Toure. The slots of Drogba and Salah is incontestable because they are demi-gods of the EPL. I would have considered the only African player that have won the ballon d'or; George Weah, but his impact in the EPL was not fundamental.

If we are talking about having an impact on club football, I have to side with Mohamed Salah. I know a lot of people are likely to disagree with me and I actually understand the logic that they are apt to present. But personally, I believe he is one of the most talented finishers in football right now. He just happens to be at the right time at the right place. This was evident even in the recent match against Liverpool. I am quite sure that Darwin Nunez would not have been able to score the second goal if Mohamed Salah did not shoot the ball into the net. And in recent times when football is almost all about pace, it is encouraging to see some genuine scale and instinct from a player.

Sadio Mane didn't get the regards he deserves at Liverpool I expected more from Klopp but he seems to let go of the better player amongst them both. Sadio Mane was much impactful than Salah. When football was all about contribution and team contribution and goals. Salah's name wouldn't have been mentioned anywhere.

He just relies on the good quality players he has, although I won't deny the fact that that he is a top finisher for Liverpool how far has he gone with the national team ? Ronaldo did when he had no big name around. (Off topic ) for me once more, I think Sadio Mane deserves to be on of my all time greats. No Shades.

A very good player like Mane will be missed so much in the Premier league indeed, his departure came as a shock to me cause I never saw Liverpool losing such a player so soon because his partnership with Salah was phenomenal and very productive, too bad they had to let him go but sincerely I was expecting to see a combination of Mane, Salah and Nunez this season too bad I won't have to see all that. Fulham definitely wouldn't stand a chance against this trio.

Mane and Salah seemed to me to be the best 2 African players of the EPL until this season. Now, however, Mane has left so there is no longer any doubt. I think Mane is underestimated by many people. He has often played for Salah. If Liverpool hadn't had mane in all those years, Salah would have been much less noticed and much less successful I suspect. There are still more African players around in the EPL, but none can practically compare to Salah and or Mane until this season. But last season it was just a little less with Salah. In the end, he is still too erratic.

Mo Salah and Sadio Mane are a big boost to the pride of African teams. They have joined the ranks of Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto and will soon pass the baton to the next set of stars. Ndidi and kelechi  iheanacho are becoming stars in the English premier league, I believe the quality and top performance of these players will open doors for young upcoming African footballers.

I think Mane is massively underrated as compared to salah. For me his talent is not recognized enough because of his humility and low key personality. I agree that Mo Salah and Sadio Mane are in the same league with the legends of African football. I wouldn't forget to add Kanu Nwankwo and Jay Jay Okocha to the list  of legends as well.

In other news, the Nigerian falconets defeated France in FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup 1-0. The lone goal was scored by Flourish Sabastine. The French side had a goal overturned by VAR. Above, it was a great start for the team. I noticed the Nigerian goalkeeper had some issues with catching the ball as it most times slipped off. For now, I would blame it on the weather. I'll comment on this observation after their next game.

Isn't Messi also humble and yet gets more accolades than Ronaldo who is full of himself. Both Mo Salah and Mane are very humble just that Mo Salah is more clinical in the premier league than Mane, that's why he get all the praise. As for your legend addition, I agree with you for others but that of Jay Jay okocha I don't agree. Okocha wasted his talent in football. In the premier league he doesn't have the stats to stand among the best that have played the game.

Okacha has no trophy or outstanding goal contributions to back him. Even when it comes to AFCON, Okacha just have the popularity because of the way he played but doesn't have much achievement compared to other legends. Kanu is a better footballer than Okacha was but that's a debate for another day.

Asisat Oshoala officially becomes the first African Woman to be nominated for the Ballon d'or... She worked for this I'm positive about stuff's like this. Ends well or not, she has been consistent and it's a good foundation for other African's to learn from.

Okacha has no trophy or outstanding goal contributions to back him. Even when it comes to AFCON, Okacha just have the popularity because of the way he played but doesn't have much achievement compared to other legends. Kanu is a better footballer than Okacha was but that's a debate for another day.

Ronaldo did work for all he has achieved so far, nothing came easy for him, so when you see such you does deserves double of the accolades, as I'm ready to tell my third generation about this lad. Winning mentality of that player should not be compared to another.
He should be amongst the top five all time best players in history of football. Mane is the African Giant is now clearly seen no shades.

ND football there is no person that you can grantee the best footballer but the problem is that if you want to choose base in your locality you can pick one or two persons as your best player so far you do like but when you come in terms of international European League but you can see that many people is good And you will find it very difficult to understand exactly the one that you will pick out the best footballer so far so I don't believe all agree that this person is the best footballer so far

Asisat Oshoala officially becomes the first African Woman to be nominated for the Ballon d'or.

Big congratulations to her, do you think she can win. I know she has already dominated the Africa space by winning the WAFCON Best player countless time. It was just right she try to conquer the world as she has already conquer Africa. She is doing very well club wise and country wise hopefully she goes on to be victorious.

And you think Messi didn't work for all he got, it's one thing to have talent and another to utilized it. We have many skillful footballers that aren't at the top of their game because they aren't disciplined and ready to work e.g Hazard etc.

Well people love an underdog story

Wow, super proud of her! Not just because she is Nigerian, but considering that she just won the CAF player awards 2022 for women.

Big congratulations to her, do you think she can win.
There are  some strong contenders on that Nomination list, it may be difficult for her to win but not impossible. Beth Mead has some pretty good chance following her influence in the English women winning their very first major women's championship, the Euro 2022, which they hosted on home soil.

I wish Asisat Oshoala well however.

https://www.goal.com/en/lists/women-s-ballon-d-or-2022-nominees-announced

This is the list of the women players who have been nominated for the Ballon d'Or award. There do seem to be some really good competitors for her, so she'll have her work cut out for her. Despite this, I believe she had the most impactful performance out of all the players on this list, as far as I am concerned. She is now the hope of a whole region, and that is one of the most important things about her. It is my belief that it will be her. Nevertheless, it is not going to be unbelievable if someone else is the winner.

Good one for the Strong Nigerian. Africans are mostly over looked during such.
I wish her well if she wins and if not good luck ahead in the new season.
European's are more likely to win, but she has been real impressive for year's.

Oh that's true and Oshoala also lost the WAFCON title this year as she got knockout with Nigeria. It was a surprising feeling as Nigeria has always been dominant in that tournament. Now I just wished we (Nigeria) won it again so it increase her chances because I know club-wise she's good and playing for a very respected club Barcelona. Irrespective of what happens we'll celebrate her and she's breaking boundaries.

If she continues playing good football as she is, she might just win it when next the award come up.  First the ladies have to go to the world cup and perform instead of just been participants. Which she (Oshoala) will be a very important figure for the girls to be triumphant.

I think she will be able to have a really good performance in the world cup. Oshoala is a great player and what she can do is obviously not going to be able to be decided by just the Ballon d'Or. She is the hope of an entire region. Nigeria has always been one of the best in this region. And she has an important role to play in the Nigerian squad. She is also a very important player for Barcelona right now. And I am quite sure that she will continue to play a boil like this in the future.

There is no player that is not talented that is what people mist coat or misunderstand some particular players what kills the talent of a player is when it entered into a wrong club that everybody in there is looking for a personal way to progress before someone being in a good club you know quite well that yes it has undergone many test so I just want to say that none of the players football players that is not talented

Nigeria vs South Korea FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup was played today. It was a keenly contested game. Both teams were solid. But in the end, the match ended 1 - 0 in favour of the falconets. Kudos to the team, especially to Sebastine, Onyenezide, Demehin and Idoko. They now have 6 points in their group and move onto the quarter finals. Thursday is the next match. It is not over until it is over. They shouldn't get carried away and draw back if their ultimate ambition is to win the cup.
