The game is going into extra time at the moment, i fear for Senegal, they need to win by normal play and not look to penalties as Egypt mostly does. If it gets to penalties, Egypt is most likely to win, they have had more penalty experience in this tournament than Senegal and have scored all without missing one. We already know that the star player for Senegal already missed a penalty chance, there is no certainty for them if it gets to penalties.

Mane was under pressure but was acting not like it, but it still showed in the way he blasted the ball and the Egyptian goalie was able to save it. Senegal has had some really good chances in the first half, i still feel that they should have done more to score in that first half. Egypt in the second half will play more attacking football after soaking up this pressure from Senegal. I really want Senegal to win this cup, they have tried.

The first half went draw while the second half as well, the match at 92 minutes now. I wish Mane could have scored that penalty which could have open more goals in the match. Probably the match will be drawn and penalty will be played, this is just a guess, anything can still happen in the second first or second half of extra time.

It's sad if that happens. Yesterday's match was much brighter and despite the lottery hardly anyone is dissatisfied if they watched the game.

Maybe right now they will play towards a penalty shootout because it is certain that they will play save this time even though it is an onslaught but they will not forget about defense.

I personally am still on the side of Senegal but when it comes to penalties I still doubt who will win because I think when there is another penalty Mane will definitely be a little shaken and he could not take part in the penalty shootout

By the way, I heard that Egypt had already won the title 7 times, and Senegal never. Didn't know Egypt was so strong in these editions. But it's nice that Senegal won the tournament. I also hope that the winner of this tournament will force direct qualification for the World Cup in Qatar. Only shame is the missed penalty by Mane in the 5th minute.

I wish Nigeria to win this tournament but unfortunately lost in round of 16, Senegal won it, Egypt the second while Cameroon took the third place. Congratulations to Senegalese, I know you people are very happy tonight.

Egypt tried their best but so sorry the match ended in favor of Senegal, Egypt lost 4 - 2 to Senegal in the penalty. Senegal won the AFCON final. It was quite an interesting match but no goal makes it not that fun.

Congratulations to Senegal which was one I had placed a bet to win the tournament together with Cameroon,I got just 55 USD as winnings after betting 200,100 on each team.I would not be sad even if Egypt had won the tournament but I am glad for Senegal as it was their first time and they were one of the better teams of this edition.When the game got to penalties I thought most likely Egypt is going to win but they missed 2 penalties out of 4 and Mane was the last player of Senegal to hit the penalty and of course he would not miss twice in the same game.

Am just looking at the stats of who has won the most trophies when it comes to the Afcon and am shocked to learn that Senegal had not won any not until today after beating the Egyptians on penalties.. Egypt were the team i wanted but the tournaments favorites Senegal did not disappoint, they went all the way and won it.

But all in all the keepers did put a good show to keep clean sheets which is good for their career stats.

It is the first time for Senegal to win this Cup, CONGRATULATIONS for them!
Egypt was lucky and at the same time unlucky since they had less time to rest especially that this is the 4rd game in a raw to play for 120 minutes. They didn't miss a single penalty in 2 of them but in this game they missed two and with Mane scoring the game finished. Egyptian goalkeeper is one of the best player in this edition.

Finally Senegal now has an AFCON title to their name. Congratulations to Mane and the team. They were the better team and deserved to win this tournament. Egypt were just lucky throughout the tournament to get to this level. I mean where was Mo Salad in all the 120minutee played. Although Mane missed the penalty, he was involved in the game trying his best to make the team win. Senegal should have easily won this in full time but they didn't take their chances.

I was in doubt Mane was going to score the final penalty knowing his record in the AFCON; In 2017, Sadio Mane missed a penalty against Cameroon. In 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟗, Sadio Mane missed two penalty against Kenya and Uganda then misses another against Egypt in today game. E.Mendy save was the key moment, he never seized to impress me although he's bad at penalty. Congratulations again to Senegal, it felt like I was supporting my country all through the match, I really wanted them to win and thankfully they did.

Congratulations to the senegalese team for winning AFCON 2022, they really deserve to win the match after dominating the match in most of the duration of the match, they could have won the match in the normal duration time had Mane scored the penalty, congratulations to Mendy for adding AFCON medal to his awards, Egypt tried their best but weren't lucky this time around. The match was quite exciting and entertaining with both sides trying their best to score a goal but to no avail until penalty decided the winner.

I am very happy for Mane and all the Senegal team for having won it. Mane is a true definition of being a work horse, even in Liverpool ahead of Salah.
I never watched any match of the whole tournament, but could always see updating news online and live scores. It seems Senegal tried as hard as they could even in this final match

Congratulations to the Senegalese team, a well deserved victory of the African nation's cup, although boring but what do you expect from the finals. Both teams were trying to be very cautious, the Egyptians weren't as lucky as they used to be previously in a penalty shootout, big well done to Mendy the Chelsea goal keeper was impressive all through the tournament, finally sadio mane has a trophy for this national team, he can now say he has completed a great achievement, what a career he is having. Even if I were to chose, I would have picked Senegal ahead of Egypt in course of this competition. Senegal have been up and doing right from the group stage. Egypts qualifications through the knock-our stage, down to the finals has just been by chance. Had the Cameroonians added some extra effort on the semi finals, Egypt would have been  left to fight for 3rd place. Through penalty, they managed it to the finals finals through the same penalty, Senegal have put them in 2nd place while, they lift there trophy home. I'm most proud of Sadio Mane and Mendy for ensuring that the team lifts this prestigious trophy. The Senegalese team deserved it.

Congratulations to Senegal for winning the AFCON and congratulations to Sadio Mane for not dissapointing me because I really want them to win. They have not done that before ( winning the AFCON) so is nice seeing them lifting the trophy for the first time, Mohamed Salah will be very sad just like his team mate for not lifting it for the 8th times but they did well in the tournament and should be proud of themselves.
