Nigeria is really in big distress because I don't even see any reason they should be kicked out in round of 16 after playing all those number if matches unbeaten; it's a shame to them and I was thinking they were gonna claim this cup for once but it failed!
Mane has made great impact on the senegalise and even if he's gonna be named after football itself, he deserves it  . Although he lost a penalty that would have ended the game ever since between them, but he also scored a penalty that ended the competition and had them with the cup as the champions, bug congrats

If you really check your records well I believe Nigeria already wins African cup of nation multiple times already so this is not the first time which Nigeria is trying to win. From what happen in this African cup of nation Nigeria real tried because Nigeria was the only country which qualified from the group stage with 9 points, even as they where disqualified from the knock out stage i believe they will do better in the next African cup of nation and also congratulations to Senegal.

Nigeria did a fine play in their matches in the AFCON  game . The match which they played with Tunisia which Nigeria loosed maybe the chance of luck for Tunisia to win, that's football which things happens that you don't expect or think how it comes to happen.
Nigeria can always do better even if they were not able to meet up during the tournament.

The game Nigeria played against Tunisia which Nigeria lost, if am asked  I think Nigeria players choose to loose in that game on purpose, and their reason I think is politically motivated or related rather.
A day before the match, it was said that the president of the country spoke with the team on phone, what was discussed is unknown to me but after the conversation, it was said that a government official asked why there are no hausa boys among the team, that I believed angered the team and it's part of that motivated their loss against Tunisia.

Not might, you are wrong. "It was said", who said?, anyone can just start a fallacious statement at the comfort of their homes without getting their facts right. Do you remember Sadiq Umar, the Nigerian forward in the AFCON? He is Hausa from Kaduna. Even Ahmed Musa was on the team, so there is no truth to that statement.

Egypt was lucky to have ended the AFCON in a penalty shoot out and still lost after all. Senegal would defeat Egypt with a clear margin because Egypt lack the squad to hold down senegal not even for a draw Mane would do what didn't have the chance to do against Egypt. Its only Salah i am seeing in Egypt and him alone can't move the team

this is a very strange football rule from the African continent where after completing the qualifying round they have to fight in the play offs with a 2 leg system where each will kill each other to fight for a ticket to the Qatar world cup this year, as shown we know that African star players can't strengthen in the world cup because they have to beat each other first like the match that happened between Senegal vs Egypt, they don't follow the European football rule system anymore where the top of the group can qualify directly without having to go through the play-off round. off first

I don't think the president speaking with the players is the reason why they lose the match, I don't think the president will ask them to lose, but from what I noticed from the match, Nigerians player under estimated the Tunisia  players they believed they will definitely win them if you notice it was after Tunisia first scored that was after they where serious and even after collecting red card they still played well but they didn't have the opportunity to score, because Tunisia really blocked thier defense and they wanted to protect thier one goal.

That means Egypt aren't winning because I don't think he can turn up against Senegal unless he has some personal agenda to avenge their defeat in the AFCON finals. Looking at how Mo Salah played on all the AFCON matches, I think think he can do well in the world cup qualifiers. The keeper of Egypt in the AFCON until the finals was the goal keeper, the rest players including mo Salah were just flat and didn't play as we expected.

Senagal are always the favorite for me in this game, they have more strength and well experienced players than the Egyptian teams. An indepth look at the Senegal team and you'll see players from top clubs in Europe but the Egyptian are full of local talents. Although senagal are favorite, the matches won't be a one sided game as both nation will be playing in their best to get the first advantage as that'll help them in the second leg.

That will be an expected thing to do but we have to know that it is not something that can be done by mere wishing. I also will like Egypt to pull their revenge on Senegal too for denying them the trophy but Egypt has to step up their A-game to be able to do so. After all I tipped them to win the just concluded AFCON. If they do not step up their game, Senegal will again punish them. It is going to be a trilogy sort of. Senegal has won the first round. Let us see what comes out of the second and third rounds now. That is the home and away matches.

When it comes to the premier league, Mo Salah will still be better than him at Liverpool, I feel Mane should leave to some other clubs so he can get more recognition. He's a good player but when there's more than one superstar at a particular club usually one gets outplayed and if they try getting into some competitive, the club surfers as the chemistry fails between them for selfish reasons.

I expect that soon Sadio Mane will have offers from bigger clubs after his victorious outing at the AFCON. I expect that to happen. He has to leave Liverpool FC to become bigger in fame. Back home in Senegal, he is well loved because of the way he sympathises with the lack and poverty of his people. He plans to make life better for them at the risk of living a more luxurious lifestyle like other footballers. That makes his people love him even more.

Luka Modrić won the balon D'or and other major awards without been the highest goals scorer and Messi wins this awards as well without been the highest goal scorer. If you put effort into you play, you can be rewarded. It feels like everybody plays for Mo Salah in Liverpool. Everytime they try to get the ball to him just as he's been fed the ball in the Egypt national team. Mane needs to go fund some other clubs he won't be overshadow by Mo Salah if he wants to b considered the best player from African.

Competition are good for the sports but when it comes to Mo Salah and Mane because they're both in the same team, it's hard to compare or Mo Salah directly get the advantage because the statistics flavors him but assumings Mane was in other team, he could have had the advantage.

Egypt has a very big advantage, and they have Salah, he is a very complete player and at any moment he can define a match, however I don't see it being that difficult to take out Senegal, although Senegal has World Cup experience they can apply it to be able to have a higher rate of effectiveness, although for me the best team in Africa has always been Nigeria, because just remembering that they had Samuel Etó, it was a pleasure to see the happy football they showed, so I think that Senegal has its style of football very well defined, while Egypt is establishing itself so far with quite a mix of football thanks to its variety of players with different technique.

Egypt don't have any advantage over senagal, go back to the AFCON matches and see how senagal got the finals and how Egypt got there as well. Collectively the senagal team are better than that of the Egyptian. All or majority of the players in the senagal teams has European experience as they play in top clubs but that can't be said about the Egyptian teams. Yes Egypt has No Salah but he's just like Messi when it come to international competition, Mo Salah has never won the AFCON although Egypt as a nation has won it 7 times.

Samuel Eto isn't a Nigerian although the name sounds Nigerian, he's from Cameroon and a great player. Nigeria is just like Belgium/England in Europe, they're favorite to win all competition because of the squad the possess but always fails to win. They did play a beautiful football in the group stages of the AFCON and I hope they defeat Ghana to qualify for the world cup tournament.

Egypt wanting to have their revenge on Senegal will not be enough, they will have to play better and play to win because if it is in their plan again to drag the games to penalty, i don't think it is a good plan, I still think Senegal if they play with same squad that played in the finals should win this.

Nigeria and Ghana game is quite tricky to predict, we all know ghana didn't have a good run in the AFCON and have coaching/technical challenges, they just appointed Otto Addo as interim for the games against Nigeria, he may want to impress. However i still wish the super eagles well.

I predict Cameroon to qualify as well, i would love to see Aboubakar and Ekambi at the world cup battling for top scorers.

Naturally anyone who does not like cheating will want Egypt to take a revenge on Senegal for denying them the trophy. All that is sentiment though. If Egypt does not get fully prepared for the world cup qualifiers to confront the superior Senegal, Senegal will still shame them again both home and away.

And Nigeria vs Ghana I don't think Ghana should be a problem to Nigeria, we all saw how Nigeria performed in the last African cup of nation even as the lose to Tunisia in the knockout stage but they really performed well in the group stage.

I do not know what to expect with that fixture. Nigeria did not impress me at the AFCON. Yes it defeated Ghana and won all three matches at the group stage but could not make it pass a less favoured Tunisian side with all its shortcomings. And now that the bench is wrongly constituted with Austine Eguavoen heading a better qualified Emmanuel Amunike, I hope there will not be authority tussle during the qualifiers. I know Amunike is coolheaded but anything can still happen to make him disagree with Eguavoen and that will bring division in the camp. For Nigeria-Ghana match, no expectation.

I think the main reason reason why Nigeria lose to Tunisia was because they understand estimated Tunisia they believe Tunisia won't be a problem to them. Tunisia struggled before they qualified from group stage, after the knock out stage fixture was out I knew Tunisia will definitely give Nigeria a tough time because from the history, Tunisia is always giving Nigeria tough time.

They had just a single game plan for that game, did you notice Tunisia played both defender's on the right wing.
Two right full backs was fielded to mark Simon Moses, he should at least switch down to the middle of the field to recieve passes.
Swears I was very pain from that game, the Villarreal super star Chukwueze was also not bad but he's presence wasn't felt on the pitch.
We should have been winners of the tournament if we had surpassed that stage, imagine Egypt we won comfortably played the finals.

Being prepared is different from Luck. Go and check the table and history, Egypt is very well known for winning AFCON 7 times, in fact, no country in Africa has done it the way Egypt has won but as I said, in football, as you have said it was luck but saying they lack the squad, it does fit Egypt players because they tried their best that day.
It was a first for Senegal, they can enjoy it for now, who knows by the next Afcon Mane would want to retire.
