Very well played match by Egypt. A weaker team has to know how to take the game from the beginning to the end, and that is how Egypt played with excellency achieving the victory after all. Knowing the adversary was much stronger in skills, they had to go through the longest and most patience demanding path.

For me it wasn't a big surprise, because right after their game against Morocco it was clear Egypt was putting all their effort and energy into progressing on african cup towards the final. Moreover, they are probably one of the most strategical teams of the championship, what puts them in big advantage against every opponents.

Now the final is going to be tough and unpredictable, although I'm inclined to believe in Egypt winning.

Salah vs Mane as team mate in Liverpool but currently they have to fight in the final match defend their countries and who will be scoring goals between these players i think it very interesting to find out but Egypt maybe slightly favourite because they were as the most champion in this competition with 7 times but their opponent Senegal never been won the trophy although already reach final match 3 times in the history

There was a game plan and the Egyptian executed it perfectly, Cameroon are more physical than them so they decided to steat back and attack on the counter. They did that well but couldn't get the goal, if you noticed in the extra time, Egypt took control of the match and almost ended the game in the extra time but the Cameroonians keeper came to the rescue. The Cameroonians were exhausted as they were playing with all their strength in the 90th mins trying to get a goal.

For this tournament, the person responsible for Egypt success isn't Salah but the Egyptian second choice goalkeepers. He took the no1 spot after an injury from the first choice goal keeper and the whole tournament has been in the flavor of Egypt. They haven't played their best football yet in the finals which is why they don't deserve it more than Senegal, Senegal has some unfinished business in the finals.

Even with both of them in their squads im expecting another dead and close match. Probobly another low scoring match. Senegal is looking good but i have a good feeling that Egypt will with this tournament. Senegal has never won this tournament and they will need a lot of luck to do it

If we see from teams statistic between both of them since round 16 Senegal has been scored more goals than Egypt i think they are sharper in the knockout phase so in final game possible Senegal will play more attacking but i have a feeling Egypt will playing defensive and forcing a draw in normal minutes aiming penalty kick because Egypt good at it

How can the Egyptian side that have won the AFCON cup many times and had more experience at the final stages before be the underdog to Senegal that have never won it. It is an open game, most including myself never saw Egypt getting pass the host Cameroon, but they did with some general tactics and by dragging the game to penalties (which they are very good at), who is to say that they won't do the same in this final game against Senegal. Sadio Mane and his teammates will have to outplay the Egyptians and try to score first, to avoid penalties prolly. The Senegalese tram have had an extra day to rest prior to the final, so their energy levels will be up.

Egypt was shown as the favorite at the beginning of the tournament, yes.  However, Senegal played so well that they are currently the favorite team.  Although Egypt struggles with Mohammed Salah, football is a team game.  I think Senegal will not lose to Egypt in the final.  If there is a draw and the game goes to overtime, maybe Egypt has a chance.

I don't know where you live or whether you are aware that there was a modification of the schedule but the game between Cameroon and Burkina Faso will take place today, Saturday, and tomorrow we will have Senegal vs Egypt. If I am not mistaken those games were scheduled Sunday and Monday at some point..

it's true that both fans will definitely be noisy considering this is a prestigious competition in their zone and I hope that in this match both teams play openly and finish without any extra time or penalty shootouts, in this match not only to win the third place but also to fight for who is the top scorer in this competition, which Cameroon will definitely take.

My guess was that Nigeria would make it to the finals. But unfortunately they lost to Tunisia in the Round of 16. There were three good teams in the tournament after Nigeria. Senegal, Cameroon and Egypt. Egypt reached the final by defeating Cameroon.
Cameroon will face Burkina Faso for third place. I don't think the Burkina team is strong. This is an easy win for Cameron. My prediction will be that Cameroon will win 2-0 today.

When you read some content here, you'll understand people are far behind when it comes to African football. Egypt has been a force right from when this tournament began. They have even done the triple with the tournament winning it three years straight without any team giving them a hard time. When it comes to good goal keeper, Egypt are known for producing one of the finest from the continent which is why I wasn't surprised seeing the goal keeper been the savior of Egypt in this tournament.

I read the Egyptian technical team gave the goal keeper all penalty takers and most likely the direction they enjoy placing the ball. It was on his water bottle and looking at the picture you can see the signs and usually the goal keeper was always looking down at the water bottle. This goes to show how prepared the Egyptian team were.

Cameroon will do everything to win the match of today for third place of this competition after the big failure against egypt. At least to not waste everything after all what they prepared for. So we gonna see Cameroon play more on attacking to score first and i bet on the 90 minutes of the game that Cameroon will win against borkina faso today. But we won't see that good game play for many reasons knowing the players are tired physically.

I won't be surprised seeing the scorelines of Burkina Faso winning but I know that's unlikely to happen. Cameroon are devastated, they almost thought they'll be going into the finals to lift the trophy. The players must be tired so this might affect their play. Nobody talks about the third place so what's in for them fighting for it?. The money reward I guess because there's no other importance of such position.

I don't see this game been competitive, it might just be a one sided game and have lots of goals. Maybe the top goals scores in the Cameroonian team would be fighting for who will win the golden boots. From the stats Vincent is leading and might want to score more just to create some personal record that he can used to console himself

Personally, I don't have any ideas about the winner, or about the total or BTTS - both teams are demotivated and are unlikely to show bright football. Maybe it's worth making a bold bet on the exact score of the main time 0-0?

Do you believe there is a thing like the god of soccer? I do not. This is like bringing religion and witchcraft into football which is not supposed to be. If we look at it that way the Nigerian team is supposed to still be in the tournament because the country is highly religious but we know all that is hypocrisy. Religion should be kept aside, let the most prepared and lucky win. I know that will be Egypt tomorrow.
