Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Hello - Is 2.5.12 a stable version? did you encounter any issues upgrading from 2.4.x to it on SP3x?
thx
Bobsmoke, I was speaking with SPT support about one of my power supplies which failed. Michael first updated the firmware to 2.5.12 then we started to debug the issue. Since then (3 days ago) the miner is running stable (with a bad power supply) at half a hashrate .. but I could not see anything wrong with the update. 2.5.12 is as good as 2.5.6 which was the first firmware making my SP30 to run stable. Way better than those before which, in my opinion were pushing the SP30 above the stability limits. The main update in 2.5.x is CGminer .. which is upgraded to V4.7.0, being optimized for the SP3x units by ckolivas. It has a lower size on disk and eats less processor time. There is also a power supply limitation to 1250W output, but with different engine settings it gives out the same hashrate as before, when running the 1330W configuration. The unit likes to run a bit hotter, make sure you still have the fans to 80% after the update (2.5.6 had them set at 70% by default, 2.5.12 preserved the existing 80% settings). Else, I'm still waiting for an email from Barbara with respect to the PSU RMA which is not happening as quickly as one would imagine. However the unit is running decently flat .. http://powerprice.info/SPT/graphic.php with rather significant deltaT at input over the day. thx

SP31 also arrived and is hashing but not getting anywhere over 4645GH its within the +/- 10% range but I was hoping for more +10% than -10% If you're using 220V or greater, you should change the PSU limits on your SP31. If you have Murata power supplies, you should also ssh in and run this: echo 1 > /etc/mg_ignore_110_fcc Depending on your ambient temperature, voltage, and power supplies, you may be able to set your PSU limits to somewhere from 1300 to 1370. That can improve performance by as much as 200 GH/s. Keep in mind that Murata power supplies don't recover from overload as nicely as Emersons do, so if you have the Murata type, make sure to give them a bit more headroom from the overload point. Could be because I'm on 210V rather than 240V? This is how its running currently: Temp Front / Back T,B 23 °C / 63,70 °C Socket Voltage 209/209 volt Fan Speed 80 Start Voltage 0.655 / 0.655 Max Voltage 0.75 Max Watts 1360 / 1360PSU's are Emerson Uptime:27669 | FPGA ver:62 -----BOARD-0----- PSU[EMERSON1200]: 1376->1252w[1252 1248 1248] (->1211w[1211 1211 1211]) (lim=1250) 0c cooling:0/0x0 -----BOARD-1----- PSU[EMERSON1200]: 1408->1252w[1248 1244 1252] (->1174w[1174 1174 1174]) (lim=1250) 0c cooling:0/0x0

Anyone OCed the SP20 ? Can anyone tell me how to OC it ? Thank you !
You would need to push the Max Watts up to 288 and slowly increase the max voltage. But it all limited by the max temps the ASICs are set to which is 125°C so alot depends on the temp of the ambient air you are pushing through the unit. For OC I would imagine you need sub 15°C ambients If the ASICs get near 125 they will throttle back.

this means there is enough room for some OC, right ? I'm going to push the V from 0.69 to 0.73 and see what happens

do it in increments, don't do it all at once.

Zvi - Could I get a little help on a support ticket for an RMA on a failed PSU. Order#1827 The RMA request seems to have stalled a little. It was originally initiated on December 2nd.
I have it hosted at a facility and the tech at the center reports that the PSU smoked and is showing amber/orange light. The tech has pulled power, waited 5 minutes and reseated, swapped PSU to bottom slot and top to bottom, but essentially the power supply is being reported as smoked. I put an email into Spondoolies support a few days back and they asked for remote session and I have forwarded along the request to the hosting facilities tech and he has emailed screen shots from the system with 50% hash rates showing and the description of smoked PCB components smell emanating from the system when power is applied.
The tech is more than willing to do a Skype session for the customer (me) in order to satisfy RMA requirements if needed.
Thanks for the help. I love the products and all of my other Spondoolies miners are minting new bitcoins like crazy!!

It looks like I'm not alone. My failed PSU (on Nov 27) does not have any lights on though. As usual, patience will solve all issues. Just a note for the impatient .. Zvi said earlier in this post that the SP3X units are looking for for a customized PSU firmware and the ebay sourced ones (even the same make and model) will not work.

I have question about SP20, the front fan looks quite cheap 120mm fan, if i´m not mistaking that fan gives the most noise, what if i could replace it with ultra quiet fan on same size, would it work? less noise?

No, and You lose the warranty. Use better the extra fan at the other end without opening housing.
