Liverpool and Chelsea faced tough opponents in the opening match of the season. It is difficult to predict which team will win. However, both the teams have tried to build a strong squad. Both the teams have made several changes within the squad.
But in this match I will bet Liverpool to win. Even though it's Chelsea's home match, I consider Liverpool favourites. In this match, Chelsea are not getting two important players in their squad, Nkunku and Fofana. Besides, I don't see any good performance from Chelsea in friendly matches. They could not win against Newcastle and Dortmund. Both the matches were drawn. The overall condition of the Chelsea team is still not stable. For these reasons, I consider Liverpool as the favorite.

I see more chances that the outcome of the Chelsea vs Liverpool match will be a draw even though there are certain Chelsea players who cannot perform like Nkunku. Another factor that made me see an opportunity for a draw was because Mauricio Pochettino was still new as a coach at Stamford Bridge, even though the situation and conditions of the Premier League competition were nothing new for Pochettino.

In the friendly match played by Chelsea, I saw the opposite of what you see. From the five matches they played, Chelsea won 3 wins, 2 draws (against Dortmund and Newcastle) and never lost.
This is a good achievement that Pochettino can evaluate in implementing a strategy against Liverpool in their first match of the season.

Despite chelsea against brighton but they conceded three goals. again fulham were relatively weak opponent and chelsea won easily against wrexham, truly i never heard of this group before, lol. Friendly matches were tough opponents for Chelsea mainly Dortmund and Newcastle. And in these two matches they could not win. Both the matches were drawn. And I think Liverpool have a stronger squad than Dortmund and Newcastle.

However, I don't think Chelsea will win this match. If their luck is good, maybe the team will be able to share the points in this match. Pochettino has yet to fully stabilize this team. It is still challenging for Chelsea to perform well against tough opponents like Liverpool.

Burnley's coach is an ex-Manchester City player but they won't get any special favours. Guardiola's match tactics are quite good. And Manchester City's squad is also strong. So I think Burnley's chances of doing well in this match are very low.

I have never seen Burnley win against Manchester City. I checked the results of the last 10 matches between these two teams. Burnley can't score any points in a single match. They lost every match. And in these 10 matches Burnley have conceded 35 goals and scored just one. For these reasons, I don't see any chance of Burnley picking up points against Manchester City, even though this match is Burnley's home game.

This is my point as well. Guardiola's match tactics are also very well known by everyone and the strength of the team is no secret either.
Kompany knows that if they want to succeed against Manchester City, and with succeed I mean win a point, which would already be sensational, the only chance against Manchester City is to use the few chances you get during the game. Burnley won't have 8 shots on target. Maybe they can have like 3 shots on target and of those 3 shots, 2 should end up in the back of the net. This is the strategy. They need a stable defense and try to not get tired too early from the constant attacking football by Manchester City. Arsenal can think about strategies and weaknesses of Manchester City, but Burnley needs to do a very basic job.

There is no way to say that Kompany is a bad coach. He is a fantastic coach and very hardworking. Thanks to Kompany's efforts, the Burnley side managed to qualify for the Premier League. But that doesn't mean they will win against the best teams in the Premier League. Manchester City is a very strong team. And we know Manchester City's match strategy. But even then the renowned teams of the Premier League cannot win against City. Because every player at City is very talented. Burnley can pick up points in this match if Manchester City make any big mistakes. If Burnley's players can take advantage of every opportunity, the team has the potential to pick up points. But I think it will be a one-sided match.

I have never meant to say for a second that Kompany is a bad coach although I think that timing and luck can be important to any coach who is a newcomer in the business. The right team in the right time at the right place and so on and so forth, it all can be important when a former player tries to establish himself as an accepted coach as well.

There is no "never" in any game even if the probability of success of any kind is lower of course. But there have been so many games that inspired so much joy because the seemingly obvious loser brought down the overwhelming favorite. This is one of those games because it would be a wonderful to read that a team that got promoted with a coach who was a former Manchester City player took home a point or even three.

He was in excellent form at the start of the Champions League as well. However, we have not seen a very good performance from Haaland in the semi-final and final. But I think that's because of Guardiola's match strategy. Guardiola changed his match tactics in the last few matches. Haaland was central to Guardiola's match strategy in the opening matches. But we have not seen this in the last few matches. Guardiola was well aware that Haaland would be the main target for the opposing team's defenders. This means that it doesn't really matter to City who they are playing against, if they are playing then they are winning. Of course they do not spend a whole year winning every single game, they do end up losing at least a few times each year, not a lot but a couple times.

Those games do end up in a loss for them not because other team played well, but because they didn't play as well as they could. If that happens, then I would be shocked, I do not expect them to have that, and honestly didn't even expected them to lose to Arsenal neither.

Everyone knew what kind of a career Haaland would have at City so I think last season team were kinda well prepared for him. If that's the case then I think with Haaland adjusting to City tactics in a year, I would say he would score more goals but I don't think it's not reasonable to think that way. I would say it all depend on tactics. I would further add that this season also he would have same no. of goals or somewhat near to that last season's figure or maybe more.

City are not the kind of team to be demoralised easily. I haven't seen City under Guardiola taking pressure after a loss or so. They always have been calm and always play confidently.

I also think that Haaland won’t really be able to score much goals next season. If defenders don’t give Haaland any opportunity, I notice his performance is not  always good in the match, and if you notice towards the ending of last season, Haaland wasn’t given much opportunity, and he couldn’t score much goals again. If we can see how they played in the community shield, Arsenal defenders didn’t give Haaland any opportunity, which makes him kind of useless in the match, am sure other clubs will copy the same thing.

I may not be a fan of Manchester city but I am sure haaland this season will make a good contribution to getting the Champions league trophy again this season even though he has to pass other big clubs but City chances will be bigger after having experience in the champions league.

I think it's not about whether Chelsea is a great team or not, but at this moment, at least we have also to realize that Chelsea is starting everything from scratch again. IMO, in terms of the strength of these two teams, we cannot predict. after all, both Chelsea and Liverpool, are both in the stage of rebuilding the team to its previous performance. Chelsea underwent a significant overhaul, maybe it will be a differentiator for them this season. Likewise with Liverpool, the fact is that several of their veteran players left in the transfer window this summer.

We can not be sure, how the performance of their newcomers. although, the players Liverpool have brought in this season are of pretty good quality. but still, we can not measure the strength of these two teams. only after the match starts, we will know how their style of play. especially Chelsea, the squad reshuffle that occurred in the Chelsea camp is a concern for football lovers. whether they are able to subvert Liverpool, or vice versa. Moreover, this is the first match, with quite a tough opponent for the two teams that will compete later.
if we refer to the H2H meeting of these two teams, the last 6 meetings have ended in a draw. maybe that's also why, the bookies don't favor one of them. for sure, this match will be a crucial match for both teams at the start of the 2023/2034 Premier League campaign.

Manchester united have finally decided to let go of Harry Maguire by accepting a £30m bid from westham and talks are still ongoing to determine the structure of payment concerning the deal, which means that they'll have to look for a replacement before the end of the window, according to the new Ten Hag has got a four man option for his replacement,  Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice, Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba, Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard and Marc Guehi from Crystal.
 However the price of Tapsoba and Guehi seems very high leaving them to pick between Pavard and Tobido who are cheaper options left for me I'll go with Pavard because he has a final year left in his contract and would be a lot more cheaper and also he has a lot to offer with his experience in top European competitions and that's why Manchester united should be looking out for him more than others since they're in the Champions League competition and Pavard has had a lot of experience playing in the champions league over the years.

Moyes is Manchester United fans legend, signing Harry Maguire to West Ham is a thing of joy, Maguire is not wanted in Manchester United anymore, but he fail to accept it because of the huge amount of money he earn in the club.
 Ten Hag doesn't have him on his plan for next season, is best for him to find a club where he will be playing steady ahead of world cup next year. It's a good move Maguire let him out on more energy and enjoy his new club. Manchester United fans are so happy to see him leave. He cost us so much pains.

Another piece of news about Manchester United in this season is about their new player Højlund, he is a player in Manchester United who joined in this transfer window and people even compare Højlund with Haaland and maybe he can improve the performance of Manchester United in the next season but Højlund is currently injured and according to some news, he will get recovered in the next 6 weeks.
I'm not sure why but in this transfer window I see even more teams that hire a player and the player gets injured just a few days after getting hired.

Burnley I think would've had better chances of taking something out of their first English Premier League match of the season had the Manchester club won their Community Shield game against Arsenal on Sunday.
City lost that game and wouldn't want to jeopardize their chances of retaining the English Premier League title this season and that's why they'll go all out to win the game and send a clear message to other Premier League clubs that they're still the Champions of England and are capable to retain the title. Burnley will want to also prove a point against City but I think they'll be totally outclassed in the game

Unless, if Haaland is old and Haaland runs out of energy then Haaland performance will decrease it is natural. But anyway, the fact is that Haaland is still young and also Haaland still has great ambitions that of course, Haaland will be able to maintain a great performance for next season as well. After all, we should also be able to recognize that first season Haaland has been able to succeed like that, so it would be very reasonable for Haaland in second season later to be even better than before.
