Chelsea played very sluggish until they scored and left too many gaps in the defence. I wouldn't say that Manchester United performed brilliantly because I was expecting to see them score more goals than just one but to my greatest surprise,they didn't play like those that wants to score more goals. Manchester United needs a good striking force so that scoring goals wouldn't be a problem. I see a very strong defence that Eric Hag has built.

They played horrible and only a blind supporter would say they played good as a team. Their defense is not even there yet and it's only a matter of time before it will be exposed. I bet that will happen once they faced at least a top 7 team. They will concede a lot of goals if they keep playing like this.

Manchester United played very badly indeed in their first game and even the victory they won I think was just luck, a goal scored by a defender.

Just look, who is at the top of the current standings after playing one match, they are Newcastle and Brighton. You mean we "cannot" draw conclusion? Well you are correct if that's the case. It's just that I expect their opponents to exploit their current weakness as displayed in game 1. They will be facing a better team in Spurs soon so we'll see how their defense will hold up. I personally doubt Onana will have a clean sheet.

I don't think this season will be like last season that made many things go wrong with some teams not to perform well based on some bad players among the good ones, now that Chelsea has proven to people in their first game to challenge Liverpool in their home with draw 1:1 game.  what happened in today game will make others strong teams that form big teams in the premier league to prepare well for Chelsea in this season because they are ready to disgrace any team in this season with the tactics their new coach has impacted to them.

Obvious we aren't coming into the season with the same mindset we had last season. This season we're coming to win all the games that are winnable and draw the tough ones (win some too) just like the Liverpool game. We outplayed Liverpool and had more possession then them which is something not many clubs can boost about. Liverpool is a big club so the draw was perfect for both team and we all expected it but still could have gone horrible for Chelsea if Mo Salah goal wasn't cancelled. Chelsea dominated the game from the midfield as Enzo Fernandez was incredible at the center. You can see all the short clips of his performance on twitter trending. The premier league isn't ready for the midfield combination of Enzo Fernandez, Moisés Caicedo and lavia at Chelsea.

The problem for Liverpool was that they had big problems on finding the target. Despite 13 goal attempts only 1 of them was on target which ended up with a goal. It looks like Liverpool aren't quite ready for the season as well. But this is only the beginning so let's see the next ones.

Liverpool still hasn't sorted out their midfield and that's why they got outplayed in that area which made them not to be able to dominate the game, klopp needs to do something urgently as they lost  out if the bidding war with Chelsea for a defensive midfielder. At the end of the day it was a game both clubs can learn something to take home and improve on their performance because both club blotted the chances they had to dominate the game and take home all three point. Chelsea got away with what's likely a penalty but I guess the referee didn't want to spoil the game and that's why he didn't award the penalty and at the end, the game ended as it was meant to end, a draw for each side was a perfect ending as both teams tried their best.

Two different images are visible, the top one is Caicedo while still at Ecuador in 2021 with his mother and the bottom one is now when he was announced as Chelsea's newest player. Dreams are real and Caicedo is one of the players who has made his dream of playing for the club he loves so much come true. After going through a fairly long process with Brighton plus competition with Liverpool to bring him, he became Chelsea's most expensive current signing at £115 million. He is a great defensive midfielder and has been the talk of the town lately and joining Chelsea was the right choice for him. He is ready to make history with his dream team which is currently in transition with new players and also a new coach in it. Looks like we'll see his debut later when Chelsea against West Ham.

Caicedo is good but I think he is overpriced, a player with little experience and already bears a 115million euros tag is just shocking. I really hope he delivers as much as his price tag bears cause it will be disappointing if he flops at Chelsea or have to sit on the bench too often because Chelsea has a record of killing good players who in their prime moved to Stamford Bridge and couldn’t live up to expectations.

As you just mentioned it is difficult to know where the teams are heading so early in the season and that is why I think that the most interesting game of the upcoming weekend is Manchester City vs Newcastle United. Obviously, Manchester City had a comfortable win as expected, but many eyes were watching Newcastle and they won destroyed Aston Villa, which could be a first sign that Newcastle will once again be in it for the top 3 or top 4 of the table. Now how are they going to play in an away game against Manchester City? It is impossible for me to come up with an educated guess, I have no idea whether the 5-1 can be considered as a good reason to think that they will do well against Manchester City, too.
