This weekend Manchester City will fight against tough team Newcastle and it is very interesting to see the results of this match because we all know both teams had positive results at their first match in Premier League and i know based on meetings statistic Manchester City is more good than Newcastle but i think currently Newcastle is different that they looks very solid and since last season Newcastle has been change became an strong team and they can able reach to top 4 and last week they had just humiliated Aston Villa with huge scores 5-1 so obviously Newcastle is in the good shape especially since last month Newcastle status is still unbeatable so i think Newcastle have a potention to make Manchester City to slipped

The Manchester City vs Newcastle game I think is the most interesting match if the weekend judging by the recent performance of both clubs.
While Manchester City has dominated the English Premier League for the last three seasons, Newcastle has significantly improved since the take over from their new owners. Eddie Howe has done exceptionally well in grooming the current set of players in the squad to always deliver incredible performances almost every match they play and finishing in the top of last season is a true testament that the team has really improved. Manchester City's squad is better in terms of quality when compared to Newcastle but the Magpies surely knows how to find their way to victory

Manchester City team is expected to defeat Newcastle for sure. However, since KBD is injured, Manchester City's attack may be a bit weak. But I hope that Pep Guardiola will fix that place wisely.

@fachant you had already ruled out the chances of Newcastle defeating Man City, well football had changed and unpredictable between the two teams and both team look formidable going by their first match results thus a tough match ahead, recall last season Man City had a great comeback against Newcastle luckily for them that Match ended 3-3 draw now that Kevin DeBryne is out injured it's a great blow and major setback for the team considering his influence and impact in most  of their matches with good numbers of assist to his credit unfortunately he is going to be out of action for 4 months which will definitely affect the team in this weekend match when they play Newcastle though playing at Etihad would be an advantage to the home side.

Basically I really believe that Chelsea will easily bring in more players. But it seems that Boehly also learned from last season's mistakes when he changed coaches and bought expensive players too, but the results were very disappointing. That way, it seems that at this moment Boehly will be more careful and not careless like before.

Also, at the moment it looks like their head coach Pochettino is also on a path that aligns with the club owners. Thus, of course Pochettino will prove his skills to improve Chelsea performance this season but only buying a few players in the transfer market at the start of the season like this.

John W Henry as the owner of Liverpool reported Chelsea to the English Premier League organizers because of Chelsea transfer market activity. The reason is that Chelsea spent a lot of money on transfer market activities during their acquisition by new owner Todd Boehly, and their target players Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia were both hijacked by Chelsea from Liverpool. Maybe this news can make you understand, that Chelsea is investing a lot of money in the form of their new recruits.

However Manchester City will face Sevilla in UEFA Super Cup Final tomorrow, Sevilla is also strong, so we can use this result to determine how good is Manchester City right now.

Maybe the game against Sevilla is an advantage for Newcastle on the weekend, depending on how intense the game between Manchester City and Sevilla will be. I'm quite sure, this fight will not end in a draw and it is even more likely that City will win a landslide victory. at least, they can score 2 goals against Sevilla.

Referring to what you said, maybe the match against Sevilla can be an advantage for Newcastle. because, City will have a match against Sevilla in the next few hours. after this match, City will try Newcastle in the Premier League competition. IMO, City is a team that has been tested and proven how consistent they are and the depth of their players. Between Tottenham vs Man United in my opinion Man United can still excel but the potential is slim and Tottenham can still control the game even without Harry Kane. As for Man City against Newcastle, so far Man City remains the superior club. But Newcastle has changed a lot, especially since qualifying last season with a Champions League ticket, they will definitely use the match against Man City as an important match to study the opponent's game. I'm not going to take it lightly that Newcastle are quite capable of holding a draw, it will have a very positive impact on Eddie Howe's squad.

Seriously, the two matches can be hard to predict, especially Tottenham against Manchester United, because in their openly Premier League matches, both teams didn't perform to our expectations; the performances were not impressive at all, so seeing the two teams playing against each other next week, I am not even encouraged to bet on their matches, but from my observations, Tottenham may be a little bit stronger than Manchester United based on their performances I saw last week against the Wolves. Lol, you're sorry for a team that just signed Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Michael Olise, coupled with the signings they've already made this summer and in the last two transfer windows, Chelsea have never had problems with investing money into their team, both in the previous and current administration. Having said that, i guess Chelsea are done with their transfer business for the season, it should now be over to Mauricio Pochettino and the players to perform on the pitch, the investments have been made and definitely they can't afford to have another season like the last one.

It's still early into the season so them winning or losing doesn't really mean anything at all. We should be a bit more careful about it and it could have been something that would benefit them all to ignore the result if they possibly could.

I understand that it is not a simple thing, but it's still a big deal to keep everyone healthy. So, instead of overworking the players and tiring them to a point where they may get injury, it would be smarter to just let them play easily and get into shape for the time being. That would definitely be the most important thing because in the end we are talking about a situation where it will not be a big deal at all, it will definitely be something that will benefit them on the long run.

I think the match against Tottenham this Saturday is going to be  a big test for Erik Ten Hag this season against on of the big teams and fans would be expecting to see a better performance than the one they had against Wolves they narrowly escaped a defeat and were rescued by Rafael Varanes header, if im to judge by their team performance in their last matches I'll say Tottenham stand a better chance but when it comes to the squad Manchester united have a better a squad all Erik Ten Hag just need to do is to boost the moral of the team to gain confidence when they're playing especially from the midfield area, Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount seemed lost in the last match even Casimiro looked so weak and allow the ball to get past him easily, however i feel it would be a win or draw for United against Tottenham.

 Newcastle seemed very tough this season and i was suprised of their 5-1 victory against Aston Villa their new signing Tonali is leaving the dream and fastly adapting to his new team and scored on his debut, fans would be looking to see if he'll replicate such form against a big team like Manchester City,  City on the other hand would be playing without one of their key player Kelvin Debruyne that got injured during their opener against Burnley but Gerdiola doesn’t depend much on one player to win matches so he'll seek other Alternatives to replace Debruyne,  the match is very tough for me to decide due to the present form of Newcastle but i know Gerdiola would try to avoid a defeat in that match.

Investing in young players is a very good thing to do, and now we know all clubs are starting to do that. They're turning their attention a bit towards young players who have great potential for the future. Especially since Lewis was born out of Manchester City's academy, that's obviously an achievement because their scouts are working with the barley by seeing the potential that someone has.
Yes, although we cannot deny that there are players who fade when they reach a mature age, there are players who can continue to shine. But we should not look at it from that side, because it is a very natural thing to happen.

In the first one they weren't very bad. But the weaknesses in defense still goes on. They are at least staying productive now. In that game Maddison contributed great by 2 assists as well.

Chelsea are one of the strongest teams in England after making these recent additions to the squad.I really love what Pochetino did as he arrived,removing old players that were contributing less to the team,and also players that were been paid huge amount of money.He recruited a couple of young talented players that  are very good at what they do.The recent addition that they just added to their list of players which is Caicedo from Britton,that player is very quick and solid,and his addition will really strengthen Chelsea's defence.They drew their first game,but what I saw that day was really good,it showed that they have improved and that they are better than last season.I said it before that Chelsea will shock people this season,and big teams will find it very difficult to win them now.Lets all wait to see how they can compete this season because I know they might be aiming to enter the top four,and with what I have seen from their preseason to their first game,they might qualify for top four this season.

Maybe your last statement says it all “probably i don’t read more news”. You don’t have to be sorry for Chelsea fans or maybe you already have grudges with them fans before now. If you’ve been following up Chelsea transfer keenly, you would have noticed that their overall squad depth have increased significantly and would make them one of the league contenders this season. Did you watch their match against Liverpool at their first leg match, you would have been convinced and impressed with their performance compared to last season. No they didn't spend as much money as is being purported here. Their transfer deficit is just under 70 million euros.

They signed Caicedo, Nkunku Disasi, Jackson, Ugochukwu, Sanchez and Angelo. They rest of the players they signed did not cost a transfer fee.

They sold Havertz, Mount, Kovacic, Koulibaly, Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek and Ampadu.

If you have a look at the transfer fees, you will notice that their spent amount was relatively low compared to last season as they made almost 200 million euros from the first four of the aforementioned players. Lewis is an investment for future of Manchester City and if they can grow him up like Phil Foden, Manchester City will have a good player who is able to play for them in many years. Not all investment in youth players will bring success but it is worthy to take risk as benefit will be very huge when you have a successful case.

What I know is that Pep Guardiola expertise is not in training young players to become new, stronger talent but new strategies that are always created by Guardiola are always right and make all City player closer together in working together not to rely on other players like last season even though Haaland is relied on in the premier league but failed in the champions league but other player can replace those advantages to get the success of bringing home the cup.
For a player like Lewis, even though he is still young, he seems to be reliable because Pep Guardiola has the right thoughts and strategies to use him to replace other injured players.

The injury on KDB is really going to affect the Citizens in tonight's game against Seville and even in the EPL fixture against Newcastleon Saturday. We all saw how Manchester City played against Arsenal without KDB, they were horrible but as soon as the man De Bruyne was introduced the game changed in their favor. In my opinion, this match is a quality test match for Newcastle, last week Eddy Howe's squad have shown their strength as a team to be reckoned with this season. The Magpies, who have added a number of new ammunition such as Tonali, will certainly make it difficult for Manchester City even though Pep Guardiola's troops are still superior. I really hope that Newcastle can really show a great game and be able to bring points from the Etihad stadium. What is clear is that I will be really looking forward to that fight and my main focus is to see the true strength in front of the reigning champion.

I am so sorry for the Chelsea fans but I see it as a team in decline and I dont understand if the new owner wants to invest money in it or is simply dismantling it piece by piece. What do you think about it? I dont understand nothing about it honestly, probably i dont read more news.

Lol, you're sorry for a team that just signed Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Michael Olise, coupled with the signings they've already made this summer and in the last two transfer windows, Chelsea have never had problems with investing money into their team, both in the previous and current administration. Having said that, i guess Chelsea are done with their transfer business for the season, it should now be over to Mauricio Pochettino and the players to perform on the pitch, the investments have been made and definitely they can't afford to have another season like the last one.

They will compete for the English Premier League title because they have been preparing for this season. Right from last season Chelsea has never hesitated to actively participate in the transfer window. They have bought so many young and good players within two transfer windows.

And we all see that their performance improved during the pre-season. So no one should be doubtful about the performance of Chelsea this season. Even if they may not be able to win the English Premier League, it is so certain that by next season they will qualify for the Champions League.
