Congratulations to Manchester city for winning the Super cup, it's a win for the England premier league not just Manchester city. They played well, Sevilla is one of my favorites team in laliga, because it's very hard to score them, they have a good keeper and solid defenders, Manchester city found it so hard to breakthrough but at the end they lifted the super cup through penalty shootouts.

Pep Guardiola domination in Europe continues he has won every cup in Europe for Manchester city, he's a very good coach and Manchester city owe him gratitude.

I am happy that Manchester City won. They deserve it. The team showed great dominance in the entire match. After Sevilla scored a goal in the 25th minute, they started the defensive game very badly. However, I would say that Sevilla had a good match strategy. Because last season they won Europa League title because of excellent match strategy. Against Manchester City, the team was able to draw the match 1-1 due to the great match strategy.

Despite Manchester City attacking a lot, they could not break down Sevilla's defence. Manchester City had 74% ball possession in this match. City players were able to make a total of 23 shots. But I expected a little better performance from Haaland. This season Haaland is not able to show the dominance like last season.

Sevilla's resistance had to end in a penalty shootout, but to be honest I appreciate the way Sevilla plays, which is able to provide tough resistance. To be able to come this far in my opinion Seville is extraordinary. This season, with Man City's winning streak, it means that Citizen's golden era cannot be stopped. Pep Guardiola and the Man City players are the perfect combination. I congratulate him on the achievement and it is the point where next season can be much more promising for Pep Guardiola squad. Man City have been a scary club under Pep, I can barely see their weaknesses on the pitch. European clubs are certainly motivated by the results achieved by Man City and demand better performance because the competition that awaits them is getting tougher, especially for clubs that qualify for the Champions League.

There is no doubt that Manchester City is the best team at the moment, from what they have won, this team has truly become one of the best teams in the world.
The dramatic victory they got in the final against Sevilla is quite meaningful for the team's improvement and mentality to continue to be able to do even better throughout this season.
There were a lot of criticisms when Manchester City had to win hard against Sevilla, and I realized that in this match the creative Manchester City attack Kevin De Bruyne did not play so it really affected the team's performance.

I'd like to congratulate Manchester City on winning their new trophy, but I thought sevilla would win because they scored early in the game, and when it came time for the championship game, sevilla was always strong. I even believe the sevilla coach knew the formation he should use because sevilla always wins in the championship game. However, in the second half, Manchester City altered their style of play to score a goal that forced both teams into a penalty shootout, which they won over Sevilla.

Pep Guardiola was very impressed with the way Cole Palmer performed and even tried to negotiate with his team that he won't be on a contract loan any longer in order to want him to stay in the team as one of the best. Manchester City proved that they can still perform well than before, and I'm very happy for that because there are some teams if they lose one or two players they will not perform well again but Manchester city can still perform even when they lost some player's. I believe Pep Guardiola to be a very competent coach who won't leave Manchester City at this time.

I was quite behind watching this match and seeing Sevilla winning 1 goal in the first half made me think maybe Manchester City would lose this match. However, if you look at the whole match, the two teams played very well from attack to defense and it's no wonder it was very difficult for each other to score or add more goals. Luckily, Manchester City were able to equalize in the 63rd minute through Cole Palmer's header which took advantage of an assist from Rodri.

In this match it was also clear that Haaland was heavily guarded and would not let him off the hook in the slightest. The absence of Kevin De Bruyne due to injury also hampered the flow of Manchester City balls. I think there are so many factors that made Manchester City in trouble in this match, but they were able to complete the task of winning the Super Cup properly through a penalty shootout.

Sevilla did good but they should get another player that takes chances when he has it. El Nesri missed goals yesterday to put Sevilla ahead. One more thing remaining for him to win is to win Fifa World Club Cup to complete it all.

And because Haaland can't play well, Manchester City can't win in 120 minutes. The match was a 1-1 draw. Manchester City need to reduce their dependence on Haaland. Otherwise, Haaalnd's injury will have a negative impact on Manchester City's performance. De Bruyne's absence in midfield is also well understood. With what Manchester city just did today, I think am going to go for Newcastle to have a win on that game because the so called Harland don't seem to find his stride without the help of his mastermind Kevin debryune and since debryune is out due to injury sustained in their first game Newcastle might just have an edge over city plus with the added fact that they did brilliant on their first game.

Let's see how it will be going on. Im going for city in this match. This city was chosen for a number of reasons that I had in my mind. Haaland just need the time to prove himself can do a lot without KDB.
The won against sevilla was boosting the mentality and morality from whole of players. The next game will happen in etihad stadium. That's enough to explain why city is much more favorable compared with newcastle. City doesn't wanna lose three points against newcastle.

No doubt the match wasn't all easy and Sevilla made it very tough for City to penetrate easily into the 18 yard box, they were more defensive and only fought back with a counter attack against City of wish they missed several chances of scoring more goals in the 1st half.

 The Sevilla defense held Haaland to a very close marking and he couldn't get much chances to receive the ball, i think he really missed the presence of Debruyne most they understand eachother better and most of his goals where coming from Debruyne's assist, and it was really obvious that they needed Debruyne in the match because there was not much creativity coming from the midfield, therefore Manchester City needs to act fast if they really want to get Paqueta from westham atleast to help with the creativity before Debruyne recovers, however their performance was good just that they played against a more defensive team and needed more creativity from the midfield to break their defence and get the ball to Haaland to convert into a goal, anyways i trust Guardiola to restructure his strategy to be more favorable in their next match against Newcastle United.

If they had utilised those opportunities, then they would have confidently won the match, but they wasted all of them. Everything changed and Manchester City were in control of the match, but Sevilla were playing a defensive game, which makes it difficult for Manchester City to score more goals.

Can Haaland be useful to the team in important matches?

Any club that truly understands the pattern of Haaland, then Haaland won’t be able to perform well in the match, if defenders can really hold Haaland tight, then Haaland will be useless in the match. That’s why I think De Bruyne's injury is really going to affect Manchester City’s performance, because it will be kind of difficult for any defender to hold De Bruyne down, unlike Haaland.

Everyone that actually watched the match between sevila and manchester city will actually know sevila was on fire and they were giving manchester city a very though time even to score and even haaland was struggling yesterday to score and was no way and even walker was putting effort to score but all chances were blocked by sevila players, and manchester city managed to win and they were pushing hard to go too a penalty shoot out, since its a 50/50 thing is either they win or they lose and and what i was angry about how sevila had good chances to score and they were unlucky and finally they won the super cup and manchester did well this season, but the way things are going his season is not going to be an easy one at all, and guadiola will start getting worried with the performance other clubs are coming with this season.

Erling Haaland will need to have better performances in big matches but he is young and can improve himself. Fortunately for Haaland, he joined Manchester City that is almost a perfect squad before the last season. He gave them a kind of last piece of their masterpiece and together they became treble winners in the last season.

In a first match of Premier League 2023 - 2024, Haaland scored two goals which are his good start but I think he will have more challenges from defenders and clubs in Premier League. They already had one season and one summer to analyze Haaland's strength and weakness so that they can control him better and minimize his danger against their defense systems.

Rico Lewis succeeded in extending his contract a long term contract with Manchester City until June 2028. He's 18 and have promising future in Etihad Stadium.

I don't think the 18-year-old Lewis is a good fit as DeBruyne's replacement. De Bruyne is an experienced player and is one of Manchester city's most important players. An inexperienced youngster cannot be taken into the squad as his replacement. However Guardiola is looking to prioritize youth in his squad. Because of this, in future the retirement of senior players should not have a big impact on the team. guardiola is making a long-term plan. I think he will succeed. He is giving opportunities to young players to play alongside experienced players in the squad. However, manchester city's performance will be a bit slower without De bruyne in the squad. I say this because Gundogan, one of the most important players in Manchester city's midfield, has left the squad. Now, manchester City have needed De Bruyne badly this season.

although not suitable to replace De Bruyne position, at least Lewis can strengthen first in the vacant position rather than having to be replaced with a reserve player who does not necessarily have the performance like Lewis. and Lewis position can be replaced with a reserve player so that the performance of each line will remain balanced and also will not experience a decrease in performance in the next match.
I know that Guardiola is a smart coach and very wise in making decisions so do not worry about Lewis replacing De Bruyne Im sure this not be a big problem in the next match even without De Bruyne but at least the attack line is still able to help provide additional scores like haaland who is ready to score for Man City.

I thought Guardiola gave Rico Lewis a chance against Sevilla. DeBruyne is not on the squad. However, Guardiola did not field Lewis in this match. Rico Lewis should be given a chance in less important matches and against relatively weaker opponents. Performing with the squad will allow Lewis to fine tune himself.

De Bruyne's absence in the match against Sevilla was well understood. Manchester City's midfield was not stable enough. We haven't seen a better performance from Haaland in attack. Gundagon and De Bruyne are among City's most important players. It is now difficult for Guardiola to fill the gap between these two players. If Haaland does not play well in the upcoming Premier League matches, it will not be easy for City to get full points.

Now the Supercup in the penalty shootout, every City player scored, very good. There was only one substitution during the whole game at city, I found that strange. But it was only 90 minutes, not 120.
