I just hope his poor decisions do not cost Pooter his job, which he worked so hard to obtain, because if things go bad for them, those players will not compete in the championship.

I believe their chairman Evangelos Marinakis is probably behind most if the failings, it would be hard to fault Cooper if the owner is pulling the strings

Whose idea was it to get rid of those players? Cooper's or the DOF? I would say Cooper is to blame because no club would release a player if the manager insisted on keeping him unless the player was out of contract or had decided to leave. I believe the £180 million prize money from winning the play-offs motivated them. They have spent every penny on players and have nothing to show for it.

It was obvious Manchester City would be getting most of the votes but there are 4 votes for Arsenal and that was a surprise. Liverpool have dropped so far behind with just 2 votes. Manchester United have 1 vote.

I just still can't trust Manchester United very much especially in this kind of very challenging matches. They are in a really good form recently but Manchester City can really be the only team that can put an end to this now. Erik ten Hag might try the same strategies he used against Arsenal and Liverpool here. There is no need to change anything in a game plan that is already working smoothly in the end. But we will see how much they will be able to resist Manchester City's attacks. Haaland is a huge threat.

I also think over 2.5 goals would easily win as long as Manchester United score a goal also. Otherwise Manchester City need to destroy their defense to score at least three goals by themselves.

Let's see. Honestly I'd like to get wrong about Manchester United for this match. It'd make this match even more delightful to watch at the same time. Otherwise we would only watch a one-sided match which would be quite boring.

I haven't considered this before about Arsenal's good run, but the thing is they were up against mid tier and lower tier clubs before they played vs United.  Although an argument could be made for their nice win against Fullham, but still...  A low tier club that just got promoted.  Maybe we shouldn't put too much stock in United's win vs Arsenal?  

United did win against Liverpool.  But Klopp's boys are in a rut so I guess we can't really look into that too.  And losing against Brentford 4 - 0 should still make United supporters a tad worried.  But yeah, I think the result is gonna be something like 2 - 0 or 3 - 1 for City.

There will be many changes after the international break due to injuries, fatigue, and the distance effect for Brazilian players traveling more than 12 hours to London, so game plans will always change after the international break due to one or more factors.

I don't know what the outcome of the game will be, but I am confident that United will score at least one goal.

So far there is no injury concern for both clubs at the moment.

I didn't watch the first game from the beginning; I only watched the first 70 minutes. When the game began, I was in a very tight position, but I saw some positive attacking football and players playing in their natural positions ( Mount and Kai). Mount and Kai still need to work on their final pass around the box.

The main games for me to watch out for are:

Arsenal vs Tottenham
Manchester City vs Manchester United

The first two games are about the top of the table. I think Tottenham will win and the Manchester derby will be a draw. The last game is a relegation battle and I think it Nottingham Forest will win it which will result in Rodgers immediate sacking.

  Premier league is a league full with surprises that sometimes from our own perspective we predict wrongly. When it comes to playing with big clubs,both club takes the match serious,it is always the disadvantage of any of the clubs that the winner uses against the loser.
  Manchester united will surprise people on the match day since most person might even bet on Manchester city,I am a Manchester united fan so am expecting the best form them since its a new season and new players are adding value to the club. It will be a thug of war against the two clubs a slight mistake from any of the clubs will give the other its victory. To me it will end up 2-1 against city.

They have a really difficult fixture in only two weeks but at least they are going to play both of these matches home. After having a problematic match against Manchester United I expect to see a much better performance from Arsenal. They need to show how strong they are in this kind of important matches also.

Tottenham are a very difficult team to defeat for them now. Because their form is nearly the same as Arsenal's recently. Their offensive performance is a big threat to Arsenal defense at the same time. Son's contribution will be really crucial for them after seeing him against Leicester last. If Arsenal keep the match under control they can still win this. But I still expect a close score at the end like 2-1. Both teams to score will be my betting preference at 1.54. It would be too surprising if one of them doesn't score.

What difference does the voice of the fans make? If it does, Tuchel will remain at Chelsea because no fans wanted him to leave; it was a decision made by a few people at the club based on their own opinions. I believe he was given a simple objective; I don't see why he would be under a lot of pressure; Potter objectives are to qualify for the Champions League and build a team to close the gap between Manchester City, scout good cheap options, and develop the academy. It's more of an off-field position. If he performs well, he will stay for a longer period of time than expected.

The real test for Arsenal is going to be whether they are able to actually continue to do the good work that they have been doing till now or if they are able to actually fail to do so. As a result, it will prove to the world that Arsenal's recent success has not just been a stroke of luck, but that Arsenal possesses the skills and qualities necessary to be able to succeed against the big teams as well. Obviously, this is going to be really hard for them to win. They have two very strong matches back to back.

As a matter of fact, I honestly don't think they will be able to win both of them. Despite that, Liverpool is not in the best of form right now so that will be a plus point for Arsenal in this match.

Which game is bigger, the North London derby or the Manchester derby?

Obviously, the meeting of the teams occupying the first and third place is more important than the meeting of the teams from the second and fifth places, so the north London derby is the central game of the 9th round of the Premier League. I wonder how many fans will support such reasoning, haha (personally, I will certainly wait for the Manchester derby).
It's a pity that both games will be played at such an early time, it would be much more convenient if there were a couple of "warm-up" games before these games, plus often daytime games have poor performance (this is my subjective feeling, I did not check the statistics).

One of the very impressive games of the week is of course Arsenal - Tottenham.

Honestly I'm thinking of betting on Arsenal win @2.08. They have a good advantage as they are going to play in Emirates. Tottenham are one of the most difficult opponents they can face in the league now. They are one of the best attacking teams in the league now. Especially their performance against Leicester was very impressive and it would be a huge morale booster for them. This is the second time Arsenal are facing a big opponent in the league. Their first experience didn't go well against Manchester United but this time I expect to see them well-prepared. I think they will win this game one way or another and prove their strength against a big team also.

The result I expected for Arsenal - Tottenham happened however I decided to bet on both teams to score rather than Arsenal win. Because I thought that it was a safer bet and it really won easily in the first half already.

When it comes to the game Arsenal were really impressive. Partey's goal was definitely spectacular as we saw a great technique. Jesus' goal was too cheesy. Lloris couldn't control the ball and there was a big disagreement between Romero and him right after that. Jesus was there to take advantage of this huge mistake to score their second goal. We shouldn't see this kind of simple mistakes in big games like this as it can cost them a lot. Emerson got a really meaningless red card as there was no need for such tackle. Maybe he didn't do it on purpose but only a few minutes after they conceded the 3rd goal which sealed the game.

Chelsea spent nearly €200 million on defense last summer and still can't keep a clean sheet; we are easily exposed on counter-attacks. It wasn't a spectacular victory, but the players shows a positive attitude

Arsenal sent out a strong message to the Premier League with a solid victory over Tottenham, I expected a draw or a win for Spurs but Arsenal surprised me. Chelsea are in a lot of trouble this season, the win was much needed to boost confidence and players were showing a positive attitude but Potter is way out of his depth at that club.

And yes, it was a great way to start the weekend
