It was such a dramatic finish in the Fulham vs Manchester United match. Garnacho's goal was really impressive to me. After a one-two with Eriksen, Garnacho made a really great run into the penalty area and finished it decently. He really saved his team there.

De Gea was great as always. He made really great and important saves. Otherwise they could have even lost this match. Rashford and Martial wasted big goal opportunities. They could have won this easier at the same time if they were more capable of finishing. Besides there was a mistake by Martinez on Fulham's goal. He was sleeping I assume because he didn't even try to cut the ball by sliding.
It's interesting to observe whether Garnacho can gradually improve his game. These days, Manchester United would benefit greatly from the contributions of youthful talent of this kind. mostly because of how poorly they are doing in the attacking line. When Garnacho came on as a substitute, offensive football took on a new dimension. Fulham struggled to deal with him, and in the end, he scored the game-winning goal. De Gea did once again make significant saves, but Martial missed opportunities more often than Rashford.

Garnacho was able to raise the confidence of all players, not only that Garnacho also always provided support for several Manchester United players, this was what made Manchester United's game continue to improve when Garnacho was played by Erik ten Hag, the young Manchester United players seemed to have made a good contribution from several Manchester United matches, so in my opinion Erik ten Hag's decision to play young players is quite efficient and brave enough, but it must be done, otherwise in the future Manchester United will always rely on players who are relatively old.

Arsenal will be coming strong after the World Cup and is already working on signing certain players however, Haaland's performance is slipping from when he was signed, when the heat was still on, and Manchester United and Real Madrid are already planning to sign Victor Osimen from Napoli. I would have preferred if Madrid could have acquired him because I believe he would have been a better fit there than at Manchester United during the World Cup break.

Aren't you going too harsh on Haaland just because he didn't score in his last match?  Grin

His current statistics:

- 18 goals in 13 matches in the Premier League
- 5 goals in 4 matches in the Champions League

He has scored like the half of the goals Manchester City scored in the Premier League.  Cheesy  They owe a lot to him already now. He is the biggest contender for even European Golden Boot prize considering his beast-like performance about scoring goals. I won't be surprised even if he breaks the goal record in one season in the Premier League also. In short, Manchester City must be more than contented with his performance until now.
I don't like it when players are over hyped, especially man city fans. The season isn't over yet, so let's see what comes next. I'm very sure of many surprises coming this season. In addition, even if it is what they are paid for, some players will be exhausted after the World Cup because the upcoming World Cup will last for at least 29 days and need a lot of energy. The World Cup is just 4 days before commencement and wish all players the best and also Haaland  Grin

About the world cup, some players that made it in the squad are simply not good enough. Look at the form of Sterling, even since he went to Chelsea he has not performed and on that basis alone he should not be an automatic selection but based on past form for the national squad he should be in the world cup squad. There are too many players in the squad that should not have been selected by Southgate.
You are correct that there are players who must be in the national team regardless of their club form; this is where players like Sterling and Philips come in, but Wilson backing Harry Kane remains my main concern; he has more experience than Toney, but I'm only concerned about current form.

After the full interview will be aired, there will not be enough legal grounds to "sack" Ronaldo. If they sack him they will no longer pay him and Ronaldo will take legal action which will result in him getting all his backdated pay and on top of that in the Court he will take the stand and say a lot more than in the interview. Manchester United and the Glazer family in particular do not need that. The best case for all will be Ronaldo gets fined by the club for the maximum penalty the PFA and Premier League rules allow (two weeks wages) and then continues to be a Manchester United player until the January 2023 transfer window, which is when either Chelsea or Bayern Munich buy him for a cut price £10 million or take him on a free transfer.

Nobody is going to fire him. If the move fails in January, he will serve out his contract on the bench, with wages deducted if he fails to show up to training or disrespects his manager.  we don't need another Lukaku.

As for Martial he needs to be sold, he simply is not playing enough because of regular injuries and when he plays he is not effective. Rashford should be kept but he also is not performing at his best his form has dipped.

To be honest, he's a waste of space; he's not living up to expectations; he needs to join a smaller team to save his career right now.

Garnacho seems like he will have a fantastic future ahead of him but then once upon a time so did others at Manchester United including Federico Macheda and Adnan Januzaj but their careers dived after their initial impact. When I saw Januzaj play, I thought he was going to be a top class player yet he faded away but maybe Garnacho just might make it all the way to the top.

Would you be happy if Ronaldo was signed by Chelsea until the end of the season or on a two year deal?

Martial should be sold, he never managed to perform consistently at a high level. Maybe having a new challenge with a different club might rejuvenate him and his career and I say that considering his loan at Sevilla was disastrous because he played so bad while he was there Sevilla decided they would not take up the option to buy him and sent him back to Manchester United.

Since we lack a creative midfielders at the moment, we will not improve with or without him. To be quite honest, I wanted him to join us for at least one season while we looked for a new striker, but given the current situation at Chelsea, Ronaldo will flog unless the owners want him for business reasons. He has lost confidence, and his ailments aren't helping. He is witnessing what Hazard is experiencing: a single injury can reduce you to a mediocre player. He'll fit in perfectly in the Bundesliga now, whether it's with Dortmund or Leipzig.

I'm curious about how good Liverpool will perform after returning from the World Cup break. They have been quite away from their Champions League performance in the Premier League. The last two victories might be helpful for them to improve their morale and concentration also. But it is still difficult to trust them with my bet for me. Because they are still inconsistent against even weaker teams in the league. We all remember how they lost to Nottingham and Leeds consecutively.

Klopp is a very experienced and qualified manager of course. They have had great times with him thanks to his solid strategies so far. I remember another time Liverpool struggled this much and saved themselves from it later. I think that Klopp can repeat this and we can watch a different Liverpool in the second half of the season.

Ronaldo as a player is finished. I'm not disputing his quality, he's still one of the straight forwards you want to get the ball in front of the goal. but its full usability requires a lot of changes in the team and everyone has to submit to its game.
For any developing team that wants to be competent in the coming years, a player like Ronaldo is just ballast.

what keeps him attractive is his marketing value and that is the only reason for any speculation about the interest of any club. He scores only one goal against Everton, but his celebration of that goal went viral.

I would agree that the midfield and even defence might be in need of more attention at Chelsea. Something needs to change or they will simply not make a top 4 finish and will miss out on Champions League football next season.

Hazard, he once had the world at his feet and went to Real Madrid on a high but his career has declined spectacularly. He is not the same player he was when Chelsea bought him. Martial was not exactly brilliant before he got his injuries but it really is time for him to move on.

I'm curious about how good Liverpool will perform after returning from the World Cup break. They have been quite away from their Champions League performance in the Premier League. The last two victories might be helpful for them to improve their morale and concentration also. But it is still difficult to trust them with my bet for me. Liverpool will have to improve fast if they stand any chance of finishing in the top 4. Right now I think Manchester City and Arsenal are certain to finish in the top 4 but Newcastle United, Tottenham and Manchester United have a better chance than Liverpool or Chelsea.

so in my opinion Erik ten Hag's decision to play young players is quite efficient and brave enough, but it must be done, otherwise in the future Manchester United will always rely on players who are relatively old.

manchester united's problem is not the old players, if at least they were playing well it would be a good thing, but they don't play well and the reason is because the coaches that arrive at manchester united don't make big changes like changing every attack and they put new players, in defense they are also a disaster, but currently they have even improved a lot, they have conceded few goals in each game and sometimes they do not even concede a goal, but their attack is a disgrace, cristiano ronald would not be able to play well in the manchester united disorganized like this but for some strange reason all coaches arriving at manchester united don't make big changes

I would agree that the midfield and even defence might be in need of more attention at Chelsea. Something needs to change or they will simply not make a top 4 finish and will miss out on Champions League football next season.

chelsea is so bad that I doubt they will be able to finish in a good position and when I speak of a good position I am talking about 5th or 6th position because between the 4 places they have no chance unless tottenham, newcastle start to play very badly and lose a lot points something I highly doubt will happen, chelsea need to buy players both in attack, defense and midfield. they are so bad that i already stopped betting on them

I do not think he is finished as a player. If he has a successful and eventful time at the World Cup he will be even more in demand. Even at 37 years of age he could still walk in to many first team around Europe but any club buying him are also looking at the marketing side of things too because that would add an extra stream of revenue for the club. I do agree that a club cannot afford to build their team around him but he still has a lot to offer.

chelsea is so bad that I doubt they will be able to finish in a good position and when I speak of a good position I am talking about 5th or 6th position because between the 4 places they have no chance unless tottenham, newcastle start to play very badly and lose a lot points something I highly doubt will happen, chelsea need to buy players both in attack, defense and midfield. they are so bad that i already stopped betting on them

I think both Chelsea and Liverpool will probably fall in to Europa League football next season.

He has lost confidence, and his ailments aren't helping. He is witnessing what Hazard is experiencing: a single injury can reduce you to a mediocre player. He'll fit in perfectly in the Bundesliga now, whether it's with Dortmund or Leipzig.
Hazard, he once had the world at his feet and went to Real Madrid on a high but his career has declined spectacularly. He is not the same player he was when Chelsea bought him. Martial was not exactly brilliant before he got his injuries but it really is time for him to move on.

Martial was a beast when he first arrived under SAF in 2013, he was the next big thing if I recall correctly, he won the golden boy that year or so, and I believe he left his comfort zone too soon. His arrival at Manchester United marked the beginning of his failure.

I do not think he is finished as a player. If he has a successful and eventful time at the World Cup he will be even more in demand. Being a finished player does not necessarily imply that you have nothing to offer. Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney, Terry, and Drogba all left the league because they knew their time was up and needed to give some young players time to develop; age was no longer on their side, and their ability to press was no longer there. So they moved to a less competitive league to play instead of sitting on the bench. This is exactly what Ronaldo could have done instead of moving to Manchester United to sit on the bench; age comes to everyone, but he is refusing to accept that his time is up.

His arrival at Manchester United was in an emphatic win over Liverpool on his debut. I believe he scored twice on his debut. He never hit those highs again, he showed signs of brilliance but only occasionally. It really is best for him and the club if he left to continue his career elsewhere.

I do not think he is finished as a player. If he has a successful and eventful time at the World Cup he will be even more in demand. Even at 37 years of age he could still walk in to many first team around Europe but any club buying him are also looking at the marketing side of things too because that would add an extra stream of revenue for the club. I think when he returned to Manchester United he was made promises by then manager Solskjaer of playing Ronaldo regularly. When Rangnick took over he had his own ideas and now Ten Hag is manager he has his own ideas and vision.

He does not need to drop to a lower league right now. Ronaldo could fit in well at Chelsea and play regular football for several Premier League sides. He could even move to PSG where he and Messi could be on the pitch at the same time as teammates but that depends on whether PSG owners would take the shine off Messi and put it on Ronaldo without upsetting Messi.

In the future he will probably end up playing in the MLS for two seasons before he finally retires as a player. After that he will have a host of clubs wanting to sign him as manager.

Ronaldo is earning £500,000 per week. A couple of months ago he turned down an offer of £2.9 million per week to join a club in Saudi Arabia. Money cannot be his motivation, he wants to cement his legacy before retiring as a player. Manchester United should have let him leave in the summer because he wanted to play Champions League football but they did not let him leave.

^  I'm starting to think when Guardiola and City showed interest on Ronaldo was nothing but a master class in reverse psychology which caused United to panic and react in a manner they wanted.  Lol.  They prolly knew United acquiring Ronaldo would be a problem once he's in the team.

And of course Solskjaer intended to let Ronaldo play regularly because why would he decide to acquire him to be on the bench?  But he's a problem.

I think what's best for Ronaldo is to play the rest of his pro career back in Portugal.

I think both Chelsea and Liverpool will probably fall in to Europa League football next season.

honestly i don't see tottenham finishing in the top 3, for me it will look like this:

1 - Arsenal
2 - M. City
3 - Newcastle

4 - will be tottenham or manchester united. as for liverpool and chelsea i doubt very much that they will be able to reach position 4, and they did not reach position 4 only because they will be losing points, because tottenham are inconsistent, but at least they do not lose many points like chelsea and liverpool, manchester united It's a team that has good defense and sometimes they win, so they can luckily end up in position 4, although they don't even play well in my opinion.

^  I'm starting to think when Guardiola and City showed interest on Ronaldo was nothing but a master class in reverse psychology which caused United to panic and react in a manner they wanted.  Lol.  They prolly knew United acquiring Ronaldo would be a problem once he's in the team.

but when Solskjaer was the manager of manchester united cristiano ronaldo played very well and contributed a lot to the team, the problem was in defense and also in attack that with the exception of ronaldo those other players in my opinion did not contribute much and showed selfishness, if the Solskjaer had removed a good part of these players from the attack and left cristiano ronaldo and hired other players to reinforce the attack, then manchester united would be fine until today. cristiano ronaldo will leave the club, we'll see if manchester united will be playing well

I think what's best for Ronaldo is to play the rest of his pro career back in Portugal.

His current problem is, the ego that doesn't want to admit he has begun to lose his power. Technique, stamina we can already see, he is not as strong and good as when he was young.  His ego didn't want to be taken down, he felt he was still quite capable yet he was wrong.

If comparing with Messi is certainly far away, Ronaldo is two years older, it is natural that Messi is still quite good at PSG. Let's see where he's going? I think he must have moved, but I don't know where.

After parting ways with Ronaldo I wonder if Manchester United are thinking of making a new striker signing in January. Actually there are some visible issues in their scoring abilities despite still having many strikers in the team now. Garnacho can't save the team always in the end. He is still a very young player and he needs to gain more experience by getting chances in the lineup. Rashford and Martial seemed to be struggling in the Fulham match. I can't say that they are great at finishing these days.

As for Ronaldo I think he can still continue to play in this league depending on getting an offer from Chelsea. I don't think Manchester City would be interested in him. They seemed like it while he was leaving Juventus but didn't intervene later. I don't expect any move from them now and I don't think they need him as well.

I think when he returned to Manchester United he was made promises by then manager Solskjaer of playing Ronaldo regularly. When Rangnick took over he had his own ideas and now Ten Hag is manager he has his own ideas and vision.
I have no idea what deal he agreed with Manchester United when he signed, but it has already cost the team two managers. ETH was fortunate to have stood his ground this entire time, and it is already paying off.

If he couldn't do it at Manchester United with a good team, what makes you think he can do it at Chelsea, who are currently worse than Manchester United?

PSG has been doing some smart business recently, investing in young players, and I doubt they would want to add Ronaldo to their already massive wage payroll..

Manchester United is well-known for paying exorbitant wages. If money isn't his motivation, he'll have to lower his wages to have a chance at any top club in Europe, because no one would pay such a high salary for his current situation and performance.

That's why he needs to play at a lower tier European league now like the Portuguese league.  He'll be at home, be still respected and he'll still be the man at his age since the players around him won't be as high level as the top leagues.  I mean the level of play in Portugal is still high don't get me wrong but if compared to the EPL, it's different.

And he still has a chance to play in the UCL if he's at Porto or Lisbon.  But I think he has to take a pay pay cut tho amd be creative in how to generate some income.  Prolly some profit sharing deal from shirt sales or something.

I think it was real, he very nearly signed the contract for Manchester City but he was talked out of it by ex-Manchester United manager Ferguson. That has been mentioned in the media many times.

If he did manage to play a season for Sporting Lisbon before moving to the MLS to play until retirement, that would be a fitting end to his career and one he would probably accept happily.

honestly i don't see tottenham finishing in the top 3, for me it will look like this:

1 - Arsenal
2 - M. City
3 - Newcastle

4 - will be tottenham or manchester united. as for liverpool and chelsea
I would say Newcastle United will fade as the competition progresses but Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United will gain more points. I expect Liverpool and Chelsea to play Europa League football next season:

1: Manchester City
2: Arsenal
3: Tottenham Hotspur
4: Manchester United

There is no way any 37 year old can play as though he used to play when he was 27, that is impossible but Ronaldo adapted from being a speedy winger in to a goal scoring sensation. If you look at the dismal display by Messi when he played for Argentina in their defeat by Saudi Arabia you will see that on the biggest stage in global football anything can happen and Ronaldo will try to ensure he does not suffer the same fate.

@tokeweed City actually wanted Ronaldo, and you’re wrong again Solskjaer didn’t want Ronaldo and he was forced to play him because the board wanted Ronaldo in playing 11 because of his commercial value.

Furthermore I feel that Newcastle will cling to a third or fourth spot, because while they say that they won’t buy anyone in January I feel that they’ll end up buying player’s which will give them further juice to survive in the top 4 till this season end’s.
