Not paying now does not prevent you from winning the weekly prize as long as you pay at some point in the future, but in your situation it's difficult because this is your first time, new account with no reputation, and I'm not sure you qualify for such privilege. You must pay before playing for the first time you join.

No way Pep is playing Akanji and Gvardiol together this weekend.

I have a feeling this will be a good midfield throughout the season, Akanji + Gvardiol I have high hopes for too, and I'm not a week-by-week player in this fantasy game so I just want a solid all round team that can do it's job and get points.

How sure are you about Martinelli not starting?

You just swap your defender for mid or forward and formation adjusts automatically. You have to have 5 defenders - 5 midfielders and 3 - forwards in the club. But formation can be almost anything you want. At least 3 def, 3 mid and 1 for

I don't know about Gvardiol, he's surely meant to get regular minutes from Guardiola, but being a just concluded deal of few days ago he might not get his debut tomorrow.

Martinelli is definitely a starter for that left flank and he's locked in there for Arsenal IMHO, except he picked up knock from the shield or he's out injured, Trossard and Harvertz will be the ones sharing minutes more often for the center forward role in absence of Gabriel Jesus or whenever Arteta decide to play Declan Rice further up in Midfield and have Partey as CDM. If I'm tripling up on Arsenal, you best believe I'm going with Gabriel, Saka and Martinelli for sure.

Got it, thanks! But after looking at who my fifth midfielder was, I left 4 defenders (in the hope that Newcastle would not miss a single goal)  In fact, it's a pity that the amount for transfers is very small, so the game is like guessing successful players and not like picking a team for each round. It seems to me that if the amount was 110-115 million, the game would be more flexible.

If you're looking for a long term midfield plan I would suggest you get any two from these names ( Rashford, Bruno, Mitoma, KDB, Saka, Salah).

Martinelli hasn't been playing well lately, and I expect Trossad to take his place now that Havertz will be playing as false 9 and even if Martinelli starts, he won't get more than 60mins. Tricky choice.

This is my first draft as I'm constantly fine-turning my squad in order to maximize the outcomes of GW1. My plan is to adjust my squad a bit before the deadline later today.

What are your thoughts on my selections? Please ignore my bench for now. As usual, I would appreciate any and all suggestions as this is my first FPL challenge and I know very little.

Is Caicedo really worth that money? 110M for defensive midfielder sounds a lot. Especially when he is not even that proven.

Anyway, just few hours remaining and the urge to tinker with my squad is getting stronger. I just know that Salah will find way to my squad before the deadline even though it weakness several other positions. Overthinking in progress...

It's actually £111m. But one thing's for sure, he's much better than Lavia from a tactical point of view (and having Mac Allister as well also helps things). People say he'll fit like a glove in our squad, which I can understand given that he's inheriting Fabinho's responsibilities.

Now all we need to do is add a backup CB, sell Nat Philips and we're good for title winning.

GW winner free bet rules

GW winner is a person with most points in that round. Chips count and your minus points from transfers are substracted from total. As per official rules.


We have a couple of people that did not yet pay and some of them are in the league. They are not eligible for free bets. If you don't pay before the official game deadline, you are not competing for free bets.

We accept new entries until end of month at latest, after that whoever did not pay gets kicked out for good and goes in my personal blackbook. That is only for those that got league code on our trust, if you were just thinking about joining and talking with us that is perfectly fine.
