Of course you jumped the gun. You have Raya as first keeper and Arsenal has better fixtures in next few so Dubravka will not play for you. There is still no official news for Pope and while it seems serious why not wait a week or two and be sure? Furthermore what happens is some important player for you gets injured today? Let's say haaland if you have him out for 2 weeks? You could have used that free transfer to temporally remove him from squad while now it costs -4 and you have just a better bench option that will not play anyway

I always kinda feel 'well, this is something that makes sense and a lot of people will do, I'll just be late and he'll be more expensive in 3 days'.
That's how I missed Neto, Palmer, Son, a few others that I can't recall as well.

My reasoning is maybe to get rid of Raya and use that spare 1 mil on someone better - that's why I went for Dubravka while he's still on 3,9.

Spending more than £5.0m on a defender or goalkeeper who is not Trippier, the team's defender, midfielder, winger and set piece taker, is a waste of money.

It is easier said now that Liverpool are struggling to keep a clean sheet, and Darwin Nunez is an absolute waste crosses and square plays, because I’m very sure TAA is often as much a set-piece taker as Trippier is, except from the opposing flank where Robertson comes in, and I would say TAA is a better attacking option than Trippier, of cause Trippier have the most points and will always rack in more bonus points due to the metrics used by FPL to awards Bonus points.

while the team is attacking, James is the only player who is close to Trippier; while the team is attacking, these guys become the team's automatic right winger. TAA uses his shooting and crossing skills to get attacking returns at the least expected chances. TAA is a part of this group, but he is not better. IMO

The pain and suffering from watching Haaland against spurs was extreme for not having him in my team, actually its every GW. I need to find a way to accommodate him back in my squad, I can't handle going through these emotions week after week.

Same pain in the ass here, i have the game in the back and everytime i heard Miguel Simon singing a goal i hope he was not Haaland please..... Luckily no goals for him, but i made a bad move this round, i sit in the bench Son thinking this Totenham with a few key players out cant do so much on City game, but you see......

A bad moment to wildcard - my previous team would have netted me 20 points more.
Still - I like it way more how my team is set up for the period to come.

I accept that I made a mistake with Trippier though. I had a spot for him in the budget but went with another defender that will be on the bench.
We're entering the festive period, so I hope that decent players on the bench will be netting me some points.

Made such a bad bad mistakes with Kabore of Luton Town and Branthwaite of Everton. I had to substitute Branthwaite for Kabore at the last minute, clearly unders estimated the quality of Brentford, thought Kabore could bring in something good but, I didn’t expect Everton to have things easy with Nottingham Forest.
How interesting it got, Pedro Porro made my team and has got zero points on him with my 9 points in Branthwaite right there on the bench.

Ever since E. Haaland was off my team, I’ve not been expecting much of him but going forward, Manchester City has got some good fixtures to give him an opportunity to get some good points.

It says so every week on top of the page for reference and it is always 90 minutes before the start of first game in that round. If you tried just before posting here, that means you were about an hour late for the deadline.

Darn it, so basically I was preparing for GW15 when I transferred in two players huh. Guess its my bad for not paying attention, I thought it would be at the start of the kick off for the 1st game on the GW. Thats 1 free transfers wasted because of this, could have use it to swap a defender out because Villa is playing against City

You have 2 wildcards per season. One that can be used in first half and other in second. If you don't use first one you loose it. So if you did not use the wildcard you have until GW18 to do so. Maybe even GW 19 not sure which week is the actual deadline for it but you can see that info on site for sure.

This round on midweek is strange, i almost forgot to make some little changes on the team. Today games are not so relevant, but Arsenal one is always a must see, lets see how much they strug on a tiny pitch.

I missed the deadline for transfer and subtitution for this mid week, I guess it's probably because there have not been a midweek GW for quite a while, it is such an awful miss for me, because I have Matty Cash who is playing against Man City team have been scoring quite a lot these, I could have brought Mitoma in for him at least or try to attack the Arsenal's easier fixture against Luton. I hope this doesn't have much of a negative impact on my gameweek points.

No changes to my team this week -- initially thought I might use it if injuries prevailed but I get to save it for a few more weeks!

Still don't think this team is what I really want but feel much better only Wilson is marked injured and I think he'll get a shot to play. I have a feeling this week is it, so I'm rolling the dice on Nunez with a triple captain card active.

Hwang already added another goal to his tally against Burnley. He's a solid player butvis being limited by his team. If he was in a team like Arsenal, Liverpool or even City, He would've been a high flyer (more than he already is.

I initially thought this is a double gw since there are two separate Gws in a single week. Later confirmed that double GWs occurs when  teams can freely play their outstanding games after their regular gameweek outings. Good to know.

In other news, David Raya and Ben White can't give me a clean sheet against one of the worst teams this season.

So much for having yo wait until the last hours or minute to make necessary changes to my team. It would be so heart discomforting to find Branthwaite hauling again in this GW but with zer(0) for Kabore, his a more better option and perhaps, it’s about time to see Kabore off my team. His been just a price intuitive addition for me but, not having to have any form of dependability at this point makes him such a hard sight.

It was a tensed game for Arsenal, Saka though didn’t get a goal was able to come up with an assist and that’s okay.

Didn’t see how he could have came up with some good saves of the goals he was scored, especially in the first header. He was badly positioned and the ball was directed a bit close to the far corner. 3 goals was quite something but, I’ve got to give credit to Luton Town for putting up such a fight with Arsenal.

Wolves got that clean sheet, and interesting enough, Burnley has two wins this season, over Luton and Sheffield, hope that we will not allow them third in 2 rounds

You have to feel bad for my wild-carded team, I guess I made the wrong choice, but one thing I'm glad of is that I didn't overspend on my defenders, as the most costly of them in my squad is Saliba, and his days are numbered.

Who noticed that most £3.9m defenders are increasing to £4.0m because managers are undervaluing their defence in order to improve the attack and midfield?

Kelleher is already £4.0m for what reasons? Lol

Well I'm planning to go No Salah next GW.

I want to get TAA and Son instead, so that should be two attacking assets instead of just 1. Tsimikas will also be sold as part of that.

Then my defense will be:

Trippier - Saliba - TAA

I have just enough money to do it, and also if Mbeumo rises tonight then I will also be able to upgrade him to Saka next week (I'm tired of losing points to everyone else for not having Saka).

It allows me to downgrade the rest of my defense so I can do Alvarez => Darwin too. Though maybe not immediately after since Trippier is 1 yellow away from suspension.
