Thanks a lot for the compliment. I really feel flattered you put me in the same group as these intelligent people. Further would I like to advice you to find a more positiv attitude to life, try to support the coin you like, try to build something instead of trolling at other coins forum. It's a bettor way to fulfil basic human needs and will this finally make you feel happier.

It is a usual routine for exchanges to temporary disable wallets for some maintenance, doing it a few coins at a time (not all at once).
This is a good process and nothing to worry about as long as it doesn't take a few hours for a wallet like ours.
Trading can still continue during this time, only transfers (in/out) are getting delayed until the wallet is in active state again.

Edit: Just saw a bigger than usual amount of wallets disabled right now, so it looks more like a general maintenance of their internal server structure.
Still, it's a usual routine they do once in a while.

Maybe it's worth considering adding a language tab next to the "I want to" on the top the the website.
It's not very likely that some new user to Gulden will simply type www.gulden.com/fr unless someone sends him the proper link.

Someone also mentioned some comments back, asking for the location of the Timeline, I also think that the link to the Timeline should be more easy to find, preferably in the homepage with a visible button.

When a visitor enters Gulden.com for the first time it automatically redirects based on language, but I will look into adding a language button at the top.

That actually makes more sense than my idea, didn't realized it worked that way.

I will put one in when I get home later today.  Great job on the additional languages, lots of hard work that will pay off. I have no doubt!

Please put a 3 million sell order at bittrex at 600 and I will buy some up over the next few days. It will also help with better distribution instead of one person buying it all and is much safer for you and the other person from getting scammed.

What pijpenstelen said, I have a few friends that are showing interest in trying out the digital currency world this weekend (due to the latest bitcoin rally) and I will make sure Gulden is part of there portfolios.

1) Make sure you have a safe backup of this file before trying anything further as any further incorrect steps may damage it even more and remove whatever chance of recovery there is. Work only on a copy of the file from now on.
2) Open a command prompt
3) Run command "Gulden.exe -salvagewallet"

@Shopem, i googled a bit and saw that possibly you can retrieve the private key with a hex-program. I have no experience with that. Once you have the private key you can import that in a new wallet. With bitcoin there is also a py wallet to help with this i saw. Also no experience with that.
I think it is wise to wait for the experts to assist on this.

Did you have only 1 backup file?

Edit: Found also this for bitcoin:
http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=8274.0

Maybe MaNI can help further or other experts.
