I've been mining using my 'backup pool' which is BTCGuild for the last few hours without a hickup with everything else removed from my config.

Connecting (or trying to) to GPUMAX takes longer than it should in CGMiner (as BTCGuild connects/starts immediately by itself)....it leaves CGMiner at it's starting screen for up to 10+ seconds most times....even when it is the only pool in my BAT file.

I only connect to 2 places. GPUMAX and BTCGuild....and for testing, am leaving out a backup when trying either or.

Huh. I'm running BAMT (Phoenix) with no issues, and Phoenix on another Windows rig, also with no issues. Could it be a CGMiner problem?

I sure hope not....as my entire Windows mining Farm depends on it...lol

Actually, the latest CGMiner 2.2.7 helps part of the 'sick' miner problem by keeping them busy and from accessing their 2D clocks most of the time, so it's much better than it was for me using CGMiner 2.2.6 a couple days ago.

We have been back on the main system for a while now.  I'm not sure what the issue could be.  My CGMiner connects instantly to our system.

I just reconnected and as you said...it was INSTANT this time.

Did anything of significance change during your testing on your end Pirate ?

The only difference is we have purchases running now, so it maybe an issue with your private pool.

The only difference is we have purchases running now, so it maybe an issue with your private pool.

Here's the last 6 hours from that pool after disconnecting and removing GPUMAX from my config....12noon MST to 6pm MST
http://members.shaw.ca/bitlane/6hrs.jpg

...as you can see, there are definitely no issues with that pool Wink
I decided to get a solid 6hrs of data just in case, to see if anything happened during that time, as normally, I would have half a dozen 'sick' miner instances by then.
But after 6 hours, no sick miners....nothing....everything still running without restarts of any kind.

Now that I am connected back to GPUMAX, I will take another screenshot at midnight my time and put them sidebyside to compare...

<EDIT>
I just noticed that I have already racked up 6x more Stales/Rejects in 6 minutes than I did over 6 hours on my other test above....

A delay due to the middleman, perhaps? I use ABCPool as my private; stales/rejects through GPUMAX seem similar to normal direct connection...

So I just got my invite and I'm trying to add a miner, but nothing is happening.  I enter a name, I enter a price, I untick Private only, I hit Submit...... nothing.

Tried in both Firefox and IE.   I assume I'm missing something Smiley

EDIT:  Right, you have to add a pool first.  You'll need to add some validation where it pops up a message or something if you go to create a worker without having added a pool first.

EDIT:  Is there a user guide for this anywhere?   It's really missing some instructions on the site.

If purchases aren't running (they stop when the site maintainers are asleep), you won't be getting public work. First create a pool, then create a worker, and set the pool as the offline pool in the worker settings. Then, all hashes will be sent to that pool except when purchases are running, assuming you have the PPS price set correctly.

Update:

Looks like we had a little hiccup this morning.  It's been corrected and running normally again.

If it has not started then your pool is not supported.

They are listed in the OP and we only support Bitcoin pools.  If you would like a refund let me know.
