just watched the intro video about this coin. Can someone explain to me in a nutshell why my data would be safer in this network? where would it actually be stored, on another guys computer who I dont know instead of a centralized server?

Encrypted, chunked to parts, and then stored on random nodes on the network. No one will be able to access your data but you.

Your data is speard over the net in small chunks and encrypted and in multiple copies. No farmer can actually know what they are storing would need all chunks and key to open the encryption. Kinda like dropbox only you are not trusting your data to a single corporation, but instead to all farmers who have no clue they are holding your data (or at least a small portion of it).

This is all of course assuming that Maidsafe will work perfectly one day and scale unlimitedly. Which I have doubts about, but it would really by my dream to see it.

Yeah and before it's send to the farmer to store, the data managers will use obfuscation on the chunks so even if you stored your own chunks you wouldn't recognize them. They have more users daily and volume slowly building, this coin is legit with legit dev and i hold it.  Would be nice to see it on more outlets is all.  MAID is looking great now and for future...would love to see it on 1ex.

It's made by the dev of WBB coin - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=952619.0  who is one of the best/legit and hard working devs around (if you ever read the thread you know and see their results when it comes to crazy output of work).

Not sure wth website that it is but it's bullshit and useless info that is scanning basic aspects of a website to say whether it's possibly a scam or not? lol...ok?  Anyways, the dev is from Switzerland and that's where wbb and 1ex is based (very accepting of crypto by the way that country is) and has a solid dev team with background in ACTUAL banking/economics and trading.

PM the wbb dev and he'll get back to you anytime, or just email 1ex themselves.  They even have a Slack going for anyone interested.

MAID isn't the be-all-end-all of coins by the way    There ARE other legit coins/devs out there buddy.

I totally agreed to that. They have worked 10 (!!) years on this project and they will bring out a nice pre product which we can test. So give them some credit and wait. I know for sure they will bring out a nice network which we can use to extend it with apps etc.

Yeah, the registering to the network got stuck. I re-started the SAFE Laucher again and it worked fine. Next I did the Demo App and it worked well. Able register a domain and uploaded my own website. David said there are still some 5 sec. delays in the software for the Devs to see what happens. They also didn't optimize for speed yet. Check the topic on the forum. People try to run it on different Linux systems as well.

Anything is possible, but if being realistic, people should realize it has gone up like 5x already in a couple of weeks. It's only a question of when the train stops. Right after the MVP is properly released, price will logically go down -- well, using weird crypto logic, that is.

agree with you on that. 32million cap at the moment not gonna double overnight, id say buy and hold. the investment is safe. on the other hand maidsafe partner in crime safe exchange coin, could go 10x-20x easily. it trades on bittrex here is the site www.safex.io.
