I don't know if this is directly enough for you but you could use the android app monerujo which allows you to send directly to bitcoin addresses to buy gift cards on the gyft app. You can even buy amazon gift cards on gyft which can provide you with a great many of your daily needs.

They won't let you buy crypto with a regular credit card, but you could use a debit card to buy from bitstamp, coinbase, etc. They just won't give you a loan (with a credit card) to buy crypto. This is the only thing they stopped. All other uses are generally allowed. Crypto connected cards are all debit cards too - you should send crypto first and multiply x current price = balance you could use with the card.

In sum, we strongly believe that it's beneficial to preserve our ASIC resistance. Therefore, we will perform an emergency hard fork to curb any potential threat from ASICs if needed. Furthermore, in order to maintain its goal of decentralization and to provide a deterrent for ASIC development and to protect against unknown or undetectable ASIC development, the Monero team proposes modifying the Cryptonight PoW hash every scheduled fork, twice a year. The modifications will be light, and should not change performance profiles much. The first change is now being tested, and will happen in the coming March fork. Finally, we will continue to research alternative Proof of Work functions that may provide better ASIC resistance than Cryptonight.

Patches will be available for the following software: zone117x's pool, Snipa's pool, Lucas Jones' CPU miner, wolf0's CPU miner, ccminer-cryptonight, sgminer-gm, xmr-stak, xmrig-nvidia, wolf-xmr-miner.

I love this idea! And I love that we now have a public stance from the dev team on their position on modifying the proof of work algorithm. I called for this some time ago, I have no idea if that had any impact on this being written, I doubt it, either way I am very pleased to see it.

It will be interesting to see if the hash rate crashes after the first change thus providing compelling evidence that there is currently asic mining of monero. Personally I doubt it but I will be watching intently regardless.

A proof-of-work change requires an update of the mining software, which runs locally. Correct?
I assume the botnet computers are pointed at a mining pool, which only requires the mining pool to upgrade its software during a 'normal' hard fork without a PoW change. Correct?
