Thx that worked. it did get stuck at 8200 but after a restart it's just 8 hrs behind now.... and it is moving.

great, keep with it, i'll be worth it in the long run (am I doing someone else's marketing here?)  Roll Eyes

Do you really think your constant flip flopping is helping with marketing?  Seriously dude You personally took my investment from hovering in the .20's to the teens all by yourself with your insanity laden meltdown yesterday.

For all those eyes watching, yesterdays move represented about a .1BTC/sync drop and that's about 100 BTC all on our backs because you wanted to get 5 more cheap SYNC! Thanks to you a double now gets us to .30 instead of .50  great work Mr. Marketing.

You love chaos we get it but stop claiming to be looking out for the common man, claiming that you are expressing everyone's opinion like some self proclaimed leader of this community.  You are looking out for yourself and no one else and everyone needs to know that.... beware.  This community needs and deserves better!

</rant>

fuck all to do with me. people make their own decisions. sounds like you are just looking for someone to blame.

and regarding the sync i've been buying;

I've been buying up all I can with all the BTC i mine, all the way down from 0.9 - I have very little to spend now on Sync as I am now hashing alternative coins for other people, so they can offload their sync at a better rate than you see on the exchanges.

I'm enjoying the show, to be honest, but I lost a bit on this debacle. For those of you who think raskul "took advantage", well, I sold to him, based on the relative values of TEK and SYNC at the time the deal was made, at .3 BTC per SYNC, which was nearly twice the market rate. Granted, we are friends, but I would have probably gone a bit lower. By doing this, I stopped the bleeding on my side, gained 80 TEK (about a third of the way there on the spondoolies SP10, which is a beautiful machine), and came out just a few pennies down from my initial investment.

I'm out of Sync now. Pun definitely intended. This coin looked pretty cool, I took the risk, and now it's falling apart. Perhaps it will get fixed. I hope so, and if the major issues get fixed, I'll mine at the multipool again. But for now?

Staking. Staking at .3 and above is stupid, given the rarity of the coin. Plus, it's not even true. Several people have staked at lower numbers. Dev needs to address this.

Syncing. Syncing is a huge issue! I've had fewer problems than a lot of you, but my wallet is ALWAYS a block or two behind the block chain unless I restart it. It does sync right up, but then it stops, and doesn't report itself as being out of sync. It's the current version, not flavored. And this issue is not just me or a minor few. Bittrex has to keep kicking the wallet as well. Not sure about Poloniex or Mint, but I waited quite a while on my withdrawals from Polo. Because of this issue, Sync broke my perfect record with Bittrex. Up to this point, I have never had any issue on that exchange, unless you count the night I logged in drunk and sold some shit coins lower than market. That was on me, of course Cheesy

On that note, I'd like to shout out to Rami and Richie at Bittrex. I spoke with them on IRC about my issue, and they fixed it in minutes. Very good operators over there.

My coins are not staking yet ...

Here is what i see in my wallet:

- not staking because you don't have mature coins
- active connections: 16
- 8746 blocks
- coin amount: 0.53700971 SYNC
- Transaction dates: May 19th to May 22nd.

I have the latest wallet, conf file, and firewall open as instructed.

What am I doing wrong?
Anyone see anything usual with my details?

You've got to laugh though. This coin has the most ironic name ever..

I am using a router, yes.

then you have to open the same port on the router because the router prevents staking

the easiest way is using the conf file by adding port=24241 and then open this port on the router

conf-example:

server=1
listen=1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcport=24240
port=24241
addnode= .......

Guys, I suggest you all forget about multipool tonight and mine some Pure without the fees! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=627749.0

It's all starting just over one hour from now and it will last for only 100 hours, then it will go POS, just like SYNC did a few days ago.

The price is most definitely going to increase because of this VISA-card feature promised, so i suggest holding back at least a few hours before selling it to buy SyNC.

Minep.it has already set up a pool for it, so please have your X11 miner ready at 20:00 UTC
https://www.minep.it/pool/PURE/

And have a look at the wallet; I think perhaps we can consider this Sync's little sister coin...

So I guess all the other wallets are also made by the bitcoin wallet creator, since they all forked form bitcoin and litecoin? And all pool operators are the same guy because all the webpages look the same?  Grin

Did you even look at the screenshots? Kinda strange to have the same color theme and design. Anyways I thought so, feel free to make your own conclusions.

I feel SYNC and PURE might be from the same dev. Look at the wallet screenshots

I would stay away from PURE...it screams scam worse than this one does. Even if its not a scam, the whole VISA card thing is a big red flag...basically the dev is trying to act like an exchange of currency between PURE and USD. That breaks all sorts of laws. Charlie Shrem (among others) is facing prison for this. Either the dev is not aware of what he is doing or is perfectly aware and does not care...either way its best to stay away.

And its unlikely that one developer would steal a wallet from an obscure coin like Sync days after it was released. This is probably the same developer. Or at the very least somebody who has been heavily involved in Sync thus far.

What kind of laws are you referring to? I think dollars are free to exchange in the Eurozone, and especially if they are working together with a licensed bank which it appears to by the access to chipcards. This is Germany, remember, not Texas!
