I am using 9.7 due to old cards that are not supported by 10.2 (Cayman)
Suddenly started to receive many rejected shares with error

{"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":1,"message":"Shareabovetarget."}}

using nicehash-eu pool
Please help to find what's the problem.

All users running Cryptonote on Nicehash are getting the error on 9.7 and 10.2. It's not to do with 9.7 it's something to do with Nicehash's servers (difficulty too low/high being set?), it's on Reddit at the moment. I was going to try and switch location as I'm EU, to USA or elsewhere if it continues indefinitely as I'm losing about 25% hashpower to rejected shares.

Hey Claymore!
Any word on an update to this?  Us pitcairn folks really want to use 10.2 but are stuck using 9.7
Thanks for all you do!

I will release an update for dual miner in 1-3 days, then I will have some time for this miner.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

Hi everybody !

I have seen that somes of you reach 1400H/s with a vega56 Smiley
I get 1000H/s max (default firmware, no OC...)
I use AMD n°23.20.782.259 drivers.

Could you explain me how to have the same results ?
Which Drivers do you use ? Which Firmware ?
Which software to configure it ?
Which parameters in Claymore ?

Thanks by advance !

Step 1 : Dont use Claymore's miner for Vega (use xmr stak miner or cast miner)
Step 2 : Google HDCC Activator, set it up to enable disable the Vega cards on each boot
Step 3 : Enjoy 1900h/s

Thanks for your help !
I have tried to install blockchain drivers after uninstalling the others but I got some issues :
the PC freezes or the last card is not recognized or drivers do not install at all...

Config :
Win10 64bit
Asrock H81
8Go
120Go SSD (40Go for virtual memory )
5 Vega56

did you uninstall the old drivers in safe mode?
also if you run into lot of troubles better start over with win 10 clean install, than follow this guide step-by-step https://vegamining.blogspot.com

I feel it is something to do with difficulty change. Series of rejected shares begin when Nicehash changes difficulty.

I believe that he's talking about his ETH dual miner.
It would be nice to see a CryptoNote dual miner, as he mentioned that it's theoretically possible, but he seems to be very busy right now. Maybe someday in the future.

It was their Nicehash EU (SSL) servers, switching to the USA servers resolved it.

BIOS mod it (if you haven’t already) - strap the 1500 timings to the rest and OC the memory to 1800+. It should reach 700-750H/s easy and some have reported over 800H/s on Polaris. I’ve gone for stability and dialled mine back a bit.

Care to share with us what the 'other miner' was (and the config used) so we can do a little test for ourselves and see if Claymore is that much better - thanks.

Ah yes, gatelessgate; I gave it a quick go sometime back but found that Claymore's Cryptonote miner was much better. Sgminer is another one I've used but lately I've found Claymore's miner to be a bit better. Sgminer used to be, for me, better than Claymore, something must have changed in my setup, I shall investigate.

Don't know what GPUs you are using, but for mining XMR on RX 4x0,5x0 GPUs , claymore is not even remotely as fast as a properly set up SGminer GM.
The only problem SGminer GM has is not being up to date, so there's problems with changing voltage, clock eth., but that can be done with other tools as well.

So yea, there's probably something changed in your setup Smiley

Do you have a suggested guide or thread for SGMiner GM? I know it's not been updated in a while. The thing I always liked about Claymore is it seems to auto-configure itself quite nicely and generally pretty well, that's why a lot of people (me included) use it.

There a thread about it here on the forums, other than that, not really.
Its everyone for himself when It comes to sgminer I guess.

Otherwise I agree with you, Claymore are damn fine miners, I'm using them myself.
