I assure you we had no idea that Bter was going to close up. I got a lot of flack in the previous page when I posted that there was some Skullduggery going on at Bter. Looks like a Romanian group has lost enough coin to make hiring a hitman very attractive. There has been a major crackdown on corruption in China. Several billionaires and many many officials have been executed for corruption. If Lin has been involved in pay-offs and the official that he paid-off has been arrested, it would only make good survival sense to grab the cash and run to a country without an extradition treaty with China........ Taiwan.

Dont spread this around, BUT>>>>>>>>>>>There is a rumor that other coins, perhaps NodeCoin, are paying the exchanges to continue the lock out.
Posting this kind of pointless conspiracy, does you, and this space no favours. Dont get me wrong, i would be the first person to call out dodgy shits like Linn, but your statement is illogical without something corroborating. I think it is pretty common for some exchanges to want either a lot of volume or to be paid. I.e. bittrex.com regards, Brian Litoshi is insinuating that exchange operators will willingly take payments, from other coin devs or promoters, with the express intention of disadvantaging another coin already on their books. If that happens, we should all find another past-time. If people actually accept that this happens, then you accept that the house has significantly more than a 1% advantage, in which case, you have all lost your funds already. You just dont know it yet. Apparantly you have not heard about the recent skullduggery with Lin at Bter and his collaborating with a coin dev in a "pump and dump" scheme? Read again ^, and understand that we can corroborate his actions, with the published chat during that shitty episode. You cant substantiate anything with your statement. Dont be so lazy. More importantly, how is this looking to people reading about Crypti, do you think? Well, they should be thinking that 65 Million XCR are now unavailable, that were on Bter. That leaves only 35 million for trading. The FOundation has 13 million of those/ That leaves 22 million XCR in the wild, which would make them worth many times more than the current 500-750 sats they are selling for now on Cryptsy.

So just to put a few thoughts out there, BTER is currently saying unaffected coins will be fixed and insinuating that you will be able to withdraw funds at some point. Please keep in mind that traditionally in situations like this, the exchanges have eventually disappeared or filed for bankruptcy and all funds have been seized. There is a very likely scenario where the XCR held in BTER (which can be viewed here: http://live.crypti.me/address/983470101446368718C ) will never be retrieved. This situation is fluid and no final details are available and Lin is currently unresponsive due to the shit storm i'm sure he is dealing with. In light of the recent negative accusations and evidence against him that we have seen here on BTT, I would be inclined not to give him the benefit of the doubt. In the case that BTER funds are lost and 65% of the funds in circulation are now dead weight, we will be looking for suggestions and ideas on how to deal with this situation from a Crypti perspective. We are already having internal discussions on possible avenues. Obviously, we will all hope that BTER is able to re-instate withdrawals for other coins and let everyone remove their funds. We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops and continue to try to reach Lin. Keep in mind that currently, there is nothing we can do to retrieve funds at this time, including the funds of some foundation members and prominent community members who had funds in BTER. We will continue to push Poloniex and Cryptsy to try to enable trading to get a market online to allow funds transfer for the remaining 35 million still in circulation. Max will keep you updated with official developments and any additional details that arise. Also, on a side note, just to re-assure those of you wondering, all foundation XCR and BTC is still in tact and the foundation itself had absolutely no funds on BTER.

Fact is we see that some people, on most threads concerning this SCAM,likely BTER employees and affiliates, are spreading disinfo as in reaction phishing , checking to see blacklash of their actions, finding how the people react and if it is quiet enough for them to get away with the money, not necessarily for the money itself. This is a hard hit meant for altcoin community, possibly and most likely an inside job. The only reasonable answer is found through the logic that we , as a community, are in desperate need of making a stand ASAP. For my part, if need arises and this actually is an inside job( as it looks from the cold wallet theft??? ) we are waiting on the good will of the Developers and their understanding of the gravity of this affair such that they take the measure of the 20mb forks for the recovery of victimezed investors. In this case i will gladly forfeit 15% of each coin that i had stored on BTER, towards the respective developer, as payment for the community service. For XCR this means 15% of 610000 = 100000 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=956560.new#new

To be completely transparent, we honestly have no idea. We don't know the status of Lin or if BTER will rebound and allow withdrawals again. But the fact that they didn't enable XCR withdrawals for months, even with a new and completely badass client out, makes me wonder if they didn't care because they knew they were going to be running away soon anyways... With Lins background and wishy washy attitude as of late (he has been completely different in his communications with us in the last 2-3 months) makes me wonder if he didn't just make a money grab. Only time will tell and we will hope for the best. This is one of the liabilities and risks you take when keeping money in an exchange and sometimes is the cost of doing business in a market like this. From our perspective, I don't know that there is a whole lot we can do to help as we cannot attribute money to accounts at this point to try to fix it. We have actually requested from BTER internal documentation of email addresses and account balances before (during the last BTER fiasco) and they refused to give us the data to allow us to distribute funds. We are open to ideas and are here to discuss thoughts or ideas, but right now we are at a loss. I mean 65% of our currency was held at BTER so this may be a huge hit for us in general.

WOW!!! 65% With so much missing the price is bound to go up. Just my luck What if you were able to acquire the Crypti balances from BTER from before the hack? Would that be any help? I once heard about a blockchain rollback (I think)... Is that an option? Sorry, I am not a very technical man Maybe, by some miracle, BTER actually gives back all the other coins!

It seems that only BTC was taken and the rest is still there (Just like my MSC and PPC, are still in cold/hot storage).
BTER said that they will enable alt withdrawals later.
XCR should be safe.

The other exchanges that listed Crypti had problems, right?
What happens when there is a mass Exodus from BTER... Where will people be able to take their Crypti?

Into their own Crypti wallets. We are actively searching for other exchanges, but it seems like there isn't one professional and really secure altcoin exchange on the market.
