Status Update

Version 0.1.9 is now LIVE. Linux, Mac, and Windows distributions are all available for download. The exchanges are still not back live (apparently because it is the weekend) so we decided to go ahead and release to everyone while we wait on them. We have updated the web wallet and explorer and everything looks good. This is a huge milestone for us and we are really excited for everyone to get it up and running and see the optimizations and improvements made. You should now be able to run on a 512 mb node easily and you should notice the differences immediately if you have been with us for a while.

Next we will start testing 0.2.0 (DPOS) and discussing our solution and how it will work. We will also be releasing the new website very soon. We have almost all pages coded and are tweaking the content.

Read the official update for more details and download links: http://blog.crypti.me/v019-release-notes/
Great update,
we are testing 0.2.0 (DPOS). WOW.

CryptiKit Update - Simple & easy Crypti node deployment and management.

Hello Smiley,

Coinciding with the release of Crypti 0.1.9. It gives me great pleasure to announce a new version of CryptiKit. In addition to the mandatory changes for compatibility with the new Crypti API, it contains numerous bug fixes and improvements to the underlying code.

Please download here: https://github.com/karmacoma/cryptikit/releases/tag/v1.8.0

If you don't know about CryptiKit and what it can do already, please read here:

I release regular updates to maintain momentum so if you need to catch up, please read the Changelog:

For help and advice using CryptiKit, feel free to contact me directly on #CryptiTalk IRC or using the child board: http://cryptitalk.com/index.php/board,23.0.html at CryptiTalk.com.

CryptiChain.me

Guys, I have a second announcement to make Grin.

I've setup an alternative crypti blockchain explorer, now available at: http://cryptichain.me/.

Featuring a new Activity Graph developed by myself (http://cryptichain.me/activityGraph). This new page provides an interesting live graphical visualisation of the latest transactions on the Crypti blockchain. Double tap/click on a node to focus onto it. Single tap/click on a node to inspect it. Then click the top-right button to open the selected transaction, block or account in the block explorer.

There is more work to be done, but already this graph is providing some very useful insight.

This is the initial release, changelog available here: https://github.com/karmacoma/cryptichain/releases/tag/0.2.

All issues, feedback and suggestions are welcome.

Enjoy... Wink

Version 1.0.9 windows installs in about 10 mins.  The BC downloads/syncs in about 10 mins now, instead of the 2.5 hrs previously.

Easy navigation from FORGING page to ACCOUNT and BLOCKCHAIN page.

Node only using 250MB RAM, on Win7 64 bit

Windows 8.1 2in1 laptop running Crypti Windows Client like a champ. Indeed it took around 10 minutes to dl the blockchain. Indeed it uses 250MB.
My previous forking issues where transactions from the client not being recognized are solved. Crypti 2.0 has finally arrived to the party fashionably late.
After DPOS and custom blockchains are complete I could be rich after all. Oh what a feeling, Toyota.

Disclaimer: I own a lot of Crypti. Don't listen to me.

BTW, the new wallet/node does not show the number of forged blocks which your node forged.  You can only check the ACCOUNT tab to see if your balance went up.

Here is something that needs fixing in the Windows Client. First of all, I like the ability to switch between forging, account, and blockchain once you are connected to your account.

The problem I have is when you are in the client before logging into your account if you choose to enter the forging panel in the upper right corner
there is no way to get back to the account log in page. The only way is the close the client and restart and then you have to wait for the blockchian
to load again. Unless I'm missing something obvious.

Boris is working on it.

OK...  the problem was the version of node.js that the NODE wallet had installed on my workstation.

I uninstalled & installed the version that is in the CryptiWallet folder and it WORKS FINE!!!   Grin

Edit:  In case anyone is wondering...  the NODE wallet still works too!   Wink

Glad to hear you got it working!

For those wondering, trading is still enabled on BTER, but withdrawals are disabled on most exchanges as we wait to get contact back that they have fully updated.

Yes, I just noticed this too. You can press the backward button on the keyboard, but we definitely need a button there. Smiley

Yes, sha256 hash and from this hashes ed25519 generates public and private key.
It's like brain wallet works: nxt, bitcoin (brain wallet).

Six months(august) ago SyRenity told me this in our conversation,

(this is a translation)

"After we finish launching Crypti and start a few interesting collaborations we will also begin the local activities like meetups an more..

We prefer to have a product with tangible benefits which we can present to the community"

So... where do we stand today ?

We stand at DPOS, now in testing.
And working on 0.2.1 with new features.

Yes, sha256 hash and from this hashes ed25519 generates public and private key.
It's like brain wallet works: nxt, bitcoin (brain wallet).

i've successfully generated a valid ed25519 public and private key from a hashed secret key, please let me know how the account id is generated ?
