FINALLY got my B1 order in today.
Why was it marked as Bitcoin Miner? That was stupid, someone's gonna get killed like that.
Server sounds better, hopefully orders on future batches will be defaulted to this...
Server, or Gaming Console...
It ended up costing $140 at the door for the pair in Ontario Canada, residential brokerage fee.
Kinda high just for brokerage and stupid taxes... oh why did we lose the war of 1812, we wouldn't pay taxes on imports either...
Both are hashing steady at 435GH/s @ asicfreq 218.75 and that's fine with me
The machines just overall feel a lot sturdier than the previous versions.
The cowl is great but not really designed for regular removal (I like doing weekly maintenance)
The ECB kicks ass compares to the S1's, a lot more robust and port is solid, casted within the frame itself
What I am not fine with is the shipping delays and labeling the unit as a Bitcoin miner.
Other than that, I am very satisfied with my purchase and will buy more if the opportunity presents itself.
For now though, I'm fresh outta coin...
Bitmain, takes all my coin and seems to know exactly when it's time to open sales.... Last order, I finished with
BTC0.009 remainder.
Getting "antsy" for my B4 order... so ship now B4 Aug 2nd, plz!!!
I will overclock in a few days, I like letting new machines break in, this way not to stress it out too much too early.
Tradition, I've done that with every major component of anything I ever bought... Cars, snowmobiles, dirtbikes, heavy machinery, you name it.
I also did not observe any thermal paste nor beeper issues.
Mine was as plug and play as it gets, thanks Bitmain on yet another great quality product!
I am using the Seasonic SSR650RM successfully as power supply.
They cool amazingly well; they're beside my OC'd S1's and run about 15 degrees less.
Very respectable upgrade for the S1
