You mean that this kind of crowdfunding is illegal in the USA ? On the contrary, six months ago you had to have been an "accredited investor" to be able to invest. With this development, people with less capital should be able to legally invest. I don't know if this law apply only to the USA, but even if not : INCOME is not a company, and even if it was, this won't hurt anyone.

I was not referring to INCOME or any of the assets. I was just lamenting on this development, as we were discussing crowdfunding for BURST quite some time ago. Inability of ordinary USA people to invest was seen as a major hurdle. Sorry for the misunderstanding

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to apologize for my inactivity here, I've been very busy with other things, but I'm still around, and not planning on going anywhere. I'm going to be getting things rolling on a few different aspects here ASAP. Not entirely sure how soon, but just wanted to let you all know that I wasn't disappearing.
Also, the ByteEnt asset will be paying out within the next couple days, sorry for the lag here as well.
Thank you for your understanding.

Currently the inflation is the big issue, thats why I`m holding the funds in BTC to save the capital from inflation.
In about 3-4 months according to my calculations, we should see some drastic price increases.
I would like to get more information about your calculations.

Nontheless the logic behind it is simple, just take a look at the blockreward: We are almost at 161000 block next halving at 162000. Burst get's inflated every 4 minutes by 4877 = 1,755,720 BURST /day In about 3-4 months we will be over block 216000 with 3585 BURST / BLOCK = 1,290,600 BURST/day Now that's a 26.5% decrease in inflation, almost a third, so the price should jump also at least 30% by then. This is my logic behind it. (If not more due to this thread becoming active again and BURST gaining some fame in this forum)

I am also quietly following the coin, and slowly increasing my mining capacity to help secure the chain. All my pc's run off a forked version of burst and original miner, so i have the source, the github and the build working, i am ready to contribute to the project, but entirely out of any spare time for the forseable future, at least till end of this year. I have stashed all my mined coins and bought some more, and my plan is to continue accumulating. If a further drop in price coincides with me having some extra liquidity, i'll buy some more, but no plans for that just yet, i'm strapped for time and money for now, allreday committed to add TBs weekly to my mining.

I dont like the price of BURST, it really needs to go back to 15 satoshi or higher.
I think supporters of BURST should buy some, especially if they think for long term, since the price is very low (undervalued now).
Somebody dumped half a bitcoin worth of BURST yesterday, and the big problem is that the buy wall is thin, people removed their buy orders on Polonex since yesterday.
Not to mention the C-CEX price.

It sounds like, BURST price is so low, lower it is not possible, so there is no other chance to increase!!!

It sounds like, BURST price is so low, lower it is not possible, so there is no other chance to increase!!! The fact we can agree upon is that if there is any kind of demand for burst, whatever small it might be, then if inflation go below that demand level, price will rise until the demand is diminished so much that things are in balance. more inflation gives a lower price, less inflation gives a higher price ( all else being equal ) With BURST, inflation is perfectly predictable only with variations due to luck with finding blocks. we know inflation will be reduced going forward, depending on how you measure it, it is going lower either every time block reward is reduced, or every time a block is found. So inflation is going down. That's a plain fact. Inflation measured in BURST that is. Definition of inflation is number of currency units. it is rising with burst. but rising slower and slower. Demand is not flat, it is probably wobbling around, or might be trending up or down, i don't know. Historically, price going down faster than inflation dictates can be interpreted as demand being lower than inflation. Price going up of course means demand is higher than inflation. ( demand is of course net demand, some ppl want more burst, some ppl want less) As inflation go down as a percentage of market cap, and as a percentage of issued BURST coins, the demand needed to keep the price stable will be smaller and smaller. if demand doesn't get reduced, the price will rise. Burst is made so that inflation measured in new_BURST_created_per_day is going down over time. if demand remain constant, price will rise as this inflation measurement go down. burst is also made so that inflation measured in new_BURST_per_day / total_BURST_to_ever_exist is going down over time. This number go down faster than the above. if demand is a percentage of marketcap rather than a number of burst, price will rise even faster using this inflation measurement burst is also made so that inflation measured in new_BURST_per_day / burst_existing_now is going down over time. It is even going down faster than the above, if demand is a percentage of issued coins, price will have to rise even faster than the two scenarios above. The total and final risk due to inflation for a wannabe BURST owner is the difference between already mined coins, and the grand total of coins ever to be mined. The inflation risk is coming down all the time.

Just setup an 8tb drive and all plot files are corrupt. Using windows still don't know how to optimize the plot files and fix them.
also is their a android miner out? saw the new MXIII-G+S812 quad google tv box. Maybe a low cost burstminer built on the android platform. Isn't linux inside an android OS minus java right.

Another idea came to mind.....
Say I create 3 plot files and use one instance of Blago miner on Drive C.
Then use fastcopy and copy them to Drive D Without changing the file names, nonces etc I run a second instance of blago miner.
running the same named files separately can't overlap right. They are on different drives even though they are named the same they are used with separate running blagominer

The inflation risk is coming down all the time. I'm not so convinced that inflation does matter at this point, but you mentioned demand. Demand and supply determine the price. We have no reason to have BURSTs. In the past 30 pages, or even more, I did not spot a reason to have the need for BURSTs. BURST has great features, and greatly covered in secret. Therefore no advertisement works, because no reason to have BURSTs. The missing dev team is not an obstacle. I have other coins, and as they perform I don't even care who is in the dev team. It would be different, if something is broken, but BURST isn't broken. New features... are important to implement, but not an obstacle. Lottery not used any more, crowed funding, automatic transactions/smart contracts, .... not mentioned anymore. Escrow many people not even know exists. The functions (not well documented) on the wallets /test page is great. Looking thru this, will inspire you what could be done with BURST right now. BURST has a (un)encrypted messaging system, subscription, ... not many people use.

All the copied instances will find the same "best" nonce from your plot files - your x min y secs nonce from plot one will not improve on the x min y sec identical nonce from plot two. There is no "cheating" the system, the space you make available to unique nonces is your mining capacity - there is no beating the system. H.

an android could theoret8cally mine - but disk speed and cpu/gpu calculations determine everything - an android device is not going to be able to process at a competitive rate. On a Windows box, I get processing rates of 300MB/sec - an android won't do that. H.

What kind of setup r u running to get that kind of speed if u don't mind me asking? Is that 300mb/s all drives combined and I'm sure u have a crazy amount of drives? These r my 4 drives running win7 on a celeron 2.7ghz dual core + 8gb of ram 03:05:28 Thread "F:\Burst\plots\" @ 17.6 sec (13.2 MB/s) CPU 71.57% <---900gb sata drive 03:05:31 Thread "G:\Burst\plots\" @ 20.3 sec (11.4 MB/s) CPU 60.76% <---900gb sata drive in a usb docking station 03:05:40 Thread "D:\Burst\plots\" @ 29.1 sec (16.0 MB/s) CPU 74.92% <---1.8tb sata drive 03:05:43 Thread "E:\Burst\plots\" @ 32.4 sec (16.3 MB/s) CPU 69.40% <---2.1tb sata drive I just used the plotter from the burst wallet windows client as I was new and it was easy to do with whatever the default settings were and now using blago miner 1.151009
