Lower the block reward, extend the PoW for longer. Soon would be good.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

In my eyes its the only correct thing to do.
Coin has been too easy to mine and thats the reason why we see a continuous dumping.
Let's take darkcoin as an example. 100 net ghash and the reward is silly 5 coins. My 200 mhash x11 rig gives me a little over 5 dark pr 24 hour and still people mines this coin.
So darkcoin can be mined for years. If we should succeed  we need to adjust the floating of LTCD on the marked.
I do not know how the community will react but if we look at the other altcoins we wouldnlike to be in calss with,  non of them will be 100% mined or it willbtake many many years.
Problem with it is the fact that some of the holders would have a hughe control of the coin itself. 8 mil coins is not a joke. I do not think that any darkcoin holders have 8 mil coins.

I think there should be an actual vote on the website...

Great idea. Send it to a vote!

I agreed, the coin is too easy to mine right now.

If the origial plan was that pow should end within a year then stuck to the plan and adapt pos, but I do not think that Any big investors would ever put their money on a pow coin. Have we ever heard about a fiat that stops printing… correct me if I'm wrong!

If we look at the IPO coins,  yes some of them had big buys in btc,  like etherum, neos, veri and so on,  but this is not fiat investors.  Its just btc holders spreading out. Crypto can't grow without fiat and for LTCD to be apadted to standard fiat households we need a crypto that is balanced with fiat… thats simple economics of growth.
Thats also the reason why I keep saying that we need to keep LTCD downto earth and make it as mr and ms petersen friendly as possible… that is the biggest problem for the cryto world to solve.  That said I think LTCD is the ONLY coin that can make that adjustment,  so that's wy I believe so much into this coin.

yes 18 percent of the coins lol  that is just crazy 12 million and he has made 8 million in under 5 days. So if someone bought that much wouldn't the price have gone up instead of down lmao.

Not necessarily.  Theoretically speaking, playing off of FUD and panic sells as well as actual legit miners dumping loads of easily mined coin in combination with a bot constantly selling fewer coins than are bought (for cheaper)... Would be do-able by nearly anyone without a large investment.  If properly executed, it would be completely possible to acquire large amounts of coin while keeping the overall price low.  This isn't "market speak" by any means.  It's more a matter of human psychology versus a well designed trade algorithm.

I agree that the size of the block reward likely has a lot to do with it, and would love to see smaller rewards personally, but I can't simply make this change and push it out to the world without a few days' discussion on the matter.  Again, this would require a mandatory update and yet another fork.  A lot of variables have to be considered beforehand.

Keep in mind, I'm interested in the tech more so than the economics.  I'll make whatever change is deemed appropriate by the community, but something like this would take a sizable majority vote in favor.

No because we kept printing new ones (too high block rewards)

It could be mostly from mining cause in the first few days we saw people with millions of mhs... Or a combination of things like Troll suggested... If it was mostly mined that would have little to no effect on the price.

I was just thinking. How LTCD can be anonymous and transparent at the same time?

Unless transparency refers to something else...

Transparent in the development process... anonymous in the payment process!
Yeah I have presumed but it isn't clarified in OPP so I had to mention it :-)
