After flashing FPGA 0 successfully and about 20 tries trying to flash FPGA 3 followed by an INSTRUCTION_CAPTURE error each time, I decided to leave it and get some rest. It's worth noting that that board is one of the early boards (serial number 4 I believe).
My newer board (with a later serial number, which i'm assuming means it has a more recent firmware for the controller) flashed straight away as per the instructions, so I'm thinking we need to update the array controller firmware?
Also I couldn't get the SPI flashed with either board.
Looking forward to some updates when they're available Yohan.

Hopefully some more on the programmer later. Meanwhile first sight of the power jumper allowing a PCIE power cable to power 2 boards in a simple fashion. This is also showing the lower profile heatsink configuration. Side blow stacking pillar is also now available.

That is friggin awesome, Yohan. I had not realized that the power pins were interconnected like that. friggin love it!

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system. - GA

I just LOVE all the little Easter eggs that keep showing up with these things. Even little things like a green light on nonce found. A lot of effort went into this, more than people realize.

That looks very nice yohan! Would I be able to do a similar thing with a ~120W "wall wart" power brick adapter instead of PCI-e?

That looks very nice yohan! Would I be able to do a similar thing with a ~120W "wall wart" power brick adapter instead of PCI-e? If those pins are interconnected as well, I think I just may wet myself a little. ;p

I would not recommend it as the 2.5mm jack is only rated to 5A which is enough for one board but not 2 running full load.

Just get 2 wall warts.... I'm trying to avoid that because that means taking up two sockets. I already have a socket for the Raspberry Pi and a socket for my powered USB hub. Atleast with a ATX PSU I can power the two boards and my Raspberry Pi from one socket, and probably my powered USB hub as well if I buy an adapter for it.

I think that too, something is really strange with the programming. It took me now 2 hours of trying to get it working again. Same errors as norulezapply and i tried also to first programm the fpga 3 and then 0 but the same error then on fpga 0. Dunno why it's working now after 2 hours.

Thanks but I'm already using one. I'm really just trying to keep things as minimal as possible. I don't want to daisy chain two power strips either.

If you are a Windows user the stuff for updating your controller is now on the support webpage. Linux version coming soon. This is only worth doing if you have board 0026 or earlier. Take care not to lose power during this process and check it asy that it verify's ok. If it does not verify properly and provided you don't power cycle you can have another go. If it does go horribly wrong it will be possible to recover the units using a standalone programming cable.

Have you got the serial number?
