I have a spare pc and want to run a bitcoin node. It's there anything in particular I need to do, that would help benefit this pool?

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

All this ugly red and maroon needs to go away. We need more green.

Other than pointing/addnode your bitcoind at the pool, there's not anything else at the moment.

I have a spare Raspberry Pi, can I run a node there and point it to the pool - will it help in anyways, esp for non-US resident members?

I feel like the fact that the network hash rate immediately skyrocketed past the previous rate right after the diff change could explain the recent uptick in red blocks here... Somebody please correct me if I'm off-base on this.

Edit: BLOCK!!!!!  Grin

There is no correlation at all.

Jonny's Pool - Mine with us and help us grow!  Support a pool that supports Bitcoin, not a hardware manufacturer's pockets!  No SPV cheats.  No empty blocks.

Ah ok, my thinking went along the lines of "higher network hash rate means this pool is now a smaller percentage of the overall network". So I had figured that we'd tend to find blocks at a rate commensurate with the percentage of the overall network.

I was sort of looking at it as the pool being a "member" of the overall network "pool". Thinking back on this now I get how the logic in that is flawed.

I'm not sure why the pool is still showing confirms, but everywhere else I look shows we lost this one.

added 104.194.28.196 to 10 full nodes running in a ATL based Datacenter ASN:AS3356

I don't know why this hadn't occurred to me, but I just added it to my full node as well.

Yep, same here. I think Kano needs to manually update the site to show the orphan

Ugh... Starting to feel like I might need to give up on these rentals then. That block was a little mini-savior. Losing way too much on them at this point...
