The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

So far it seems to be in a nice home with loving parents.

Jonny's Pool - Mine with us and help us grow!  Support a pool that supports Bitcoin, not a hardware manufacturer's pockets!  No SPV cheats.  No empty blocks.

Don't count your blocks before they have children.

Hopefully that new chinese node will help us out.  On the flip side, that chinese node may tell kano at least if we are in an orphan race up until the next block gets found somewhere.

That was one tough block to crack! What's impressive is that the vast majority of miners didn't bail out on the pool. A testament to the faith we all have in this pool & Kano (many thanks for the CN node!).
Patience, patience, patience & steady as she goes.....smooth sailing is just ahead  Smiley

Anyone that leaves a pool with a history like this one over 1 red block is an idiot.

we are down from 40-41 ph to 34.6 ph

most of that is rentals as most people can not handle a long cold streak if their gear is all rental.

I am lucky to have about 32ph at very power cost  pointed here.

If we get real cold I can leave my hard gear pointed and not sweat it.

But when we are this cold over a 50 block period I need to lower my rentals.

I got a feeling I should rent big real soon.

Sitting where we are right now. I'm half tempted to start a rental. It could pay very well if our luck starts changing now. Picking the bottom is always tough.

@Mikestang: well, it's been more than 1 red block recently, but I agree with you 100%
@Sierra8561: Picking the bottom is indeed difficult because it's just a random guess. Several poor days in a row does not make a good day more likely...but heck...taking a shot is part of the fun Smiley
Good luck to all who decide to ramp up rentals and thanks for helping the pool!

I know about an orphan race pretty much as soon as it starts (if I'm in front of my computer)
The relay helps make that easy to see since it sends through all blocks and my relay monitor shows them (and logs them) on all nodes.
It will, however, make me more aware of the how dire it may be if the other block originated in CN, since the CN node should also show more accurately when the block was found.
