It took longer than expected and I now have a replacement laptop for the next week or so, but I am finally able to reply to everything.
In regards to the 500 error:
Next week when I get my laptop back, I will add a new captcha for normal miners.
It took quite a while to get verified, but I finally have access to the new captcha system.
We will see how it goes, but for now it is only temporary.

I'm new to game and just signed up today.
And I'm also facing the 500 Internal Error after captcha, and to just let you know that this is a bug in the captcha sine I use another site which uses this captcha and that site also gives this error. Also both your site and that site give error synchronously.
I'll strongly suggest to change the captcha service since it wastes a lot of time. In 5hrs that i've played I was barely able to buy a worker and a pickaxe while using the lake that is.
So please do change the service as soon as possible.
As I mentioned, I have another captcha in mind that I finally got approved for.
Will be able to change this as soon as possible next week.

Does the mine mine more if you improve during an automine boost, or do you have to wait for the autominer to finish before the upgrade is applied?

First of all i have to say i love the game so far. Is really nice and makes you wanna play a lot.
I am a very new member in bitcoin community, not so new in PTC in general but i am a lifetime gamer and got many ideas and suggestions about the site.
BUT before i continue with my suggestions to improve the game (as game) in a differend post, i need to do my fair critique.
1st of all its true the graphics are not the best but didn't stop me for joining. Btw did you find an artist or still looking for one?
I like the fact that there is a story "kinda" behind the features.
I like the fact that the game is balanced and rewards you for your work. It gives you the feeling that you got a nice progress with your mine etc.
What i don't like is the captcha. If the captcha doesn't work there is not mining. If not mining, there is not any game. You can't count the gold grinding on a beta feature like the lake. You need to fix the captcha and you need to fix it right now. Like do it 1st priority. I don't think is that hard for someone that build the script. Just remove the buggy captcha and replace it with google reCaptcha that already works perfect in lake beta feature. How time that would need? Like 10 min? put the site offline for an hour, fix the captcha do your tests and done.
Now if you still want to promote these videos, add later a feature for people to earn extra gold for watching them.
Thats my opinion.

First of all, I am happy that you enjoy the game and find some positive angles.
A lot is happening behind the scenes right now, and we are working on implementing a kind of RPG feel to the game, where you walk around the map, enter your mine etc. For this we will need to have someone work on the graphics, but there are a ton of other things we need to do first.
I am aware of the captcha issue and will implement a new one first thing next week. My laptop is undergoing repairs and it contains my work environment.
