Something really fishy is happening. This is not good at all. It's not good, it's great. We don't want weak hands holding thousands of bitcoins. Best to disperse them now than later when the public really starts to trust bitcoin.

People would cut Mt Gox a lot more slack if they could communicate more about these things. If your site is down with no explanation customers tend to get fussy. Show them a picture like that and you get more sympathy. Mt Gox doesn't communicate enough, and what little they do is tone deaf. I think they are trying to portray optimism, but it comes across as arrogance.

www.bitcoinmonitor.com is working. You can see these transactions there, at least we can see it looks fairly normal I don't see any txs larger than 1K on bitcoinmonitor, but there were a bunch.

Interesting that some of the huge transactions are from the same person
e.g 4 at 7950 BTC and one at 7900
also 5 at least at 2850 - must be another person dividing up amounts....
