This one is odd. BTC.com used to be a porn site, how could it have a Bitcoin-ish twitter account dating back to 2013?

It looks like Homero successfully petitioned twitter to get the twitter account rights to that username.

If you change a twitter name the timeline stays the same.
Buying/acquiring a twitter handle is straight out of the garbonzo playbook.

Knowing that Garza is throwing $25,000/month away warms the cockles of my heart.

but that's not Garza nor affiliated to him? Did he lose the Domain? more likely that he acquired the twitter handle and changed it. Why would anyone else leave the same bullshit on btc.com if they got it?

Here is some more Twitter weirdness. How can the same tweet belong to three different handles, two of which go way back (@bitcoinist and @btc_com)? Let's say @techtendency was bought by Garza or whoever and renamed to @btc_com. @techtendency is now a new empty account, so someone re-created it. That's fine. Google shows the tweet under the old account and under the new one. How does it show up under @bitcoinist too? Edited 2020-11-28 to fix a broken image(Google 541453397028007936 and click "repeat the search with the omitted results included")

So let me see if I can figure this out. Some "entrepreneur" in Hungary acquired a million dollar domain? Or did Garza give it up as part of the failed Bicoinist deal? Or is Mate Tokay the Russian Mafia? I'm confused more than ever now.

That Mate guy is from bitcoinist.net - http://bitcoinist.net/team-manager/mate-tokay/There are leaked emails between Homero and Mate here detailing the failed acquisition. http://qntra.net/2015/04/garza-friends-additional-emails-detailed/Yes, not much help, sorry.
