Really enjoying the Open Discussion here with you guys , so I hope you don't take my words to a personal way because I have nothing against you Smiley I hope you feel the same

@Spendulus , those killers have nothing to do with Islam , again "Extremists" . If you read Quran and Hadith of our prophet you would know that for a muslim "killing one person is like killing the whole humanity and saving one person is like saving the whole humanity."
~ Madness
Yes I feel the same.

There is an issue which troubles me a bit, here is what it is.  We see often atheists and liberals arguing and insulting fundamentalist Christians, often from a position of ignorance.  This is done based on correct facts, however the Christian finds not that his religion has been insulted but his culture.  Or the town he lives in, or his friends.  He does not see it as a strict fact base argument against particular sentences in a religious book.

I don't think anyone here seeks to insult the greater context of the culture in which people live, whether it is Islamic or Christian or secular.

However when a question is posed such as "nothing to do with Islam, again "extremists" all I can do is go to the data, and noting that it seems a full blown war is in progress, comment on that as it does seem something far in excess of a "few extremists."

How this may be reconciled with the certainty that I do not seek to insult the Islamic religion or it's adherents is of course a bit of a quandary, but there it is.

Side note - I am watching the remastered blu ray Lawence of Arabia tonight.  An amazing movie.

I am here to just say one thing? Why do YOU hate people? and you should really give a valid reason not a shitty one that says 'Because Jews, Because Christians, Because Atheists'
and Yes, I am a people's person for those who ask, just tell me, come out of your shell and say why you HATE people like myself, and I could be here to clarify things to you, or not...
Also here is something that most muslims mistake about people's person like me is that "Christianity or Buddhism hate other religions" for this I say, Christianity or Buddhism does not hate ANY religion, but they suggest to 'invite' them to Christianity or Buddhism or Judaism, as slowly, and peacefully, even if they refuse, you can try and try, until it's their choice, you stop. and for all the wars that happened, it's because this other religion decided to come into war on Christianity or Buddhism or Judaism.

If you need anything clarified, I may not be here to answer you, don't be scared, I won't be offended by anyone, also haters, you can reply, I won't care Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Cheesy

In other news ->

there are only few  muslimans that hate people...not all....Wink

This means that there are only a few Muslims that follow their religion seriously.

Islam doesn't hate. Islam only conquers. Become Muslim or die. No hate. Only conquer... called, "convert to Islam or die."

Smiley

No one follows their religion seriously. Muslims don't, Christians don't, Jews don't, etc. How can they? The books are full of contradictions. And too much doesn't make sense nowadays (or ever).

While this is somewhat true basically, it isn't relatively true.

Nobody follows his/her religion perfectly. Nobody. Yet Christians all over the Christian centers of the world - Western Europe, North America and Australia - follow their religion through understanding of what is written in their religious book, the Bible, much more than Muslims follow their religion. Why? Because, even in the centers of Islam - basically in the Middle East - the literacy rate is, on average, reasonably lower than in the Christian centers. Because of this, most Muslims aren't even aware of what their book says.

In my post at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=888757.msg10506661#msg10506661 I show a link to an article about Timbuktu in Mali, Africa. Mali, even though it isn't an Islamic center, is one of the ten major nations of the world with the lowest literacy rate. The article says that "Mali’s population is predominantly Sunni Muslim. Sunni’s in Mali are known for their mystical Sufi traditions, which allow individuals to define their own spiritual experience, including through music and poetry. In practice, Malian Islam is tolerant and open-minded." The reason that Mali's Islam is so open minded is, the people can't read, write or think well enough to figure out what the Quran and other Islamic writings are saying. When you check into it, you will see that, even though literacy rates are higher among many (most?) other Islamic nations, the Quran isn't read among Muslim families like the Bible is among Christian families.

The point is, if a person doesn't even know what his professed religion says, it isn't really his religion.

This means that Islam is essentially a dead religion. The only people who are keeping it barely alive are the few religious leaders, the Muslim extremists, and the media that talks about it all the time. The things that exist as Islam among the common, Islamic peoples as their religion, are all kinds of things that are simply spiritual, and not Islamic at all. The only other thing that they stick to is the word "Islam" itself. But this word holds no common meaning among them outside of the fact that they all use it.

Most of the world's religions are like this. Even the religion called "modern science" that has been permeating the world these last 5 or 6 decades, is really a religion of all kinds of contradictory understandings.

Probably the most solid religion among its people, where the people regularly open and read their book to see what their religion says, is the Christian religion.

Science fact is simple science that can be proved by chemical or electrical reactions, and such.

Science fiction that is often called science fact are things like Big Bang Theory or Evolution Theory or even Chaos Theory. This kind of science is theory, because it isn't known to be fact. If it were known to be fact, it would be called "law," not "theory."

Christians often recognize, sort of naturally, that the science fictions are fictions, but they don't realize that many atheists and liberals take them as fact. This causes the Christians to naturally think that the atheists and liberals are picking on something else, like picking on their religion or insulting their culture.

I am an Atheist, I am a Pagan, I am a Christian,  I am a Jew, I am a Muslim, I am a Buddhist …., I am Theist. I am all of these things and none of them; an oxymoron for sue, but first and foremost I am an individual the same as all others, who seeks truth in universal principals.

The thing that makes us unique is our ability to be all of the above and none of the above through our gift of individual choice.  While our cultures will imprint on us the baggage of the past we each have the ability to free ourselves from its dogma, the question is whether we have the courage or will to do so. Humanities greatest impediment has always been dogma; it is by removing contradiction that truth is revealed.

The noblest choice we have is empathy it is what allows us to learn, if we stop learning we stop growing, anything that is not growing is dying.

The Middle East has been the well spring of several key components
-Some of our earliest history and religions, from the Egyptians, Judaism and Christians
-It has the greatest source of oil

Both highly inflammatory sources

IMO the conflict we see in the ME and the world is are rooted in the use of divide and rule by nihilist attitudes that deliberately fan ideological sectarianism to divide us and pit on group against the other, its the easiest way to rule.  They continuously flip flop between creating the problem by supporting extremists then once that sock puppet becomes too powerful they support an even more extreme opposition to remove it. It’s a cycle of create the problem, await the reaction, engineer the “solution” (a new divide and rule which leads to an even more extreme problem). No attempt is made to resolve the cases by seeking and implementing universal principles, merely to window dress them and mask them by holding up the symptoms based on the lowest common denominator fear.

Rather then be manipulated we must fight to support universal principles of mutual respect and tolerance and trade. Principals that we all share and come naturally to us as individuals, but are clearly abused when we hand that responsibility to a collective. This is why I am in principal an anarchist, I do however recognise that there are instances where collective powers are required but feel they should be kept to a minimum and powers should be dissolved to individual responsibility as far as possible. The Blockchain offers this ability without it needing to be centralised

Our enemies are merely ourselves in another space/time culture, we need to stop being manipulated.

I agree with you , All the religions teach us peace and love these are human who bring hate and war. Those people can be from any religion .

Amen. I know a lot of Muslims who absolutely hate DASCH. I was in Jordan when they got the pilot and I assure you, there is very little support there. They do not consider DASCH to be Muslims, but rather as cultists.

This sounds like the No True Scotsman fallacy.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_true_Scotsman The truth is that there are many people who commit terrible acts and call themselves Muslims. (Not to single out Muslims - it's true for all religions that teach violence is wrong and have self-identified believers commit violent acts - but Islam was your example, so I'm sticking with it.) It doesn't matter if we say that their actions are not in keeping with their faith, it only matters if they're using their faith to justify their violent actions. And these extremist groups are. The question is how do you get the religious leaders and other members of the faith to reject these people and ostracize them. They're acting for like-minded approval and prestige in their own movement. The world needs to deny them of that. There needs to be no prestige and status for people who kill.

While you are correct that the big bang theory and so on is called theory for a reason, there is far more physical evidence to back up these claims than your invisible unproven god, the same goes for any other creationist religion, sun worshippers already have one up on you there because at least I can point to the sun and go "Oh there it is! I see it too" if it weren't for the sheer amount of people who believe what you believe people would say you belong in a mental hospital but it is basically mass social peer pressure that prevents people from claiming this sort of thing about religion.

The point about science is, it's about discovering truth and being absolutely sure that you've found the right answer, whereas religion is all based on somebody elses assumption.

Interesting take. But not very convincing. In America polls show that close to one third believes the bible should be taken literally, word for word. That's 100 million people who believe that. Yet they obviously don't follow the bible to the letter and don't understand what's in the bible judging by the responses. So they're not really Christians according to you? And I'm not sure the middle east is the center of Islam. At least most Muslims don't even live there. You say Islam is dying. So Muslims in Indonesia for example can't read? Or in fact most of the over 20% of the population of the world that happen to be Muslim? That's ridiculous.

In other news ->

there are only few  muslimans that hate people...not all....Wink

This means that there are only a few Muslims that follow their religion seriously.

Islam doesn't hate. Islam only conquers. Become Muslim or die. No hate. Only conquer... called, "convert to Islam or die."

Polls are built to elicit the answers that the pollsters want to hear. Assuming that the truth is as you say...

People aren't necessarily very smart. That's why the Bible almost tricks them into salvation. After all, salvation is what the Bible is all about. The Bible is built in such a way that the subconscious of the Bible reader is tricked into salvation, or at least closer to it. The Bible is the thing that the Holy Spirit uses to manipulate the minds of the people towards accepting salvation.

The word or designation "Christian" may have many meanings. The only one that rings true is the one that indicates those who are saved by God... Jesus salvation.

There is another indicator of where Islam exists, besides those who profess to be part of it. The other indicator is that the name of God is Allah. If you put aside the name, Allah, and if you set aside the name of the religion, Islam, you would have a hard time determining which religion was being practiced... looking at a world grouping of Muslims, that is. The thing that you could easily see, however, would be that it wasn't Christian. Why? Christian is the only one where God saves man through no effort of his own.

Two additional things:

Modern science is saving nobody. It looks like it is one of the weakest religions for salvation, because the universe is so extremely complex, that man will probably never understand it enough to manipulate people into living for even 500 or a thousand years.

Your username/handle is rather interesting. I like the ring of it.
