Someone on reddit asked about money raised and Token distribution at ICO.

This is the answer :
"All of the tokens were distributed. Roughly 1 billion. They claimed to raise 3000 Bitcoins when in reality it was closer to 1000 which at the time was roughly a half a million dollars. That was split among 5 people including myself and I'm the only one that stayed on the project afterwards. This took place at the end of 2014 more than 3 years ago."

So 4 of 5 devs disappeared?

I believed Bay got new members to their team along the road. It's shame that not everyone stayed but it doesn't keep BAY from growing each day. This year it's going to be great  Wink

There was only one "Dev" David Zimbeck. The rest turned out to be con men and thieves. David took over the coin after the others jumped ship with their profits. He alone continued to build, perfect and market the coin as other believers and investors slowly got on board to help out. Bay now has quite a solid team with David still in the lead.

You can now buy $BAY directly from our Web Wallet and website thanks to our partnership with the Indacoin exchange.

and:

 Roll Eyes
Another milestone on the roadmap. Bitbay team keep delivering what they said  Wink Wink

With more news coming this month and then Airdrop on 1st May, we can expect huge bullish move coming  Wink

It is worth the airdrop.
But I am afraid if the snapshot has been done the price will drop dramatically.
Like the nxt incident yesterday.
Will it happen again Huh

nxt, they released something totally new as ardor and people called it nxt 2.0. So it's like they're moving most of their work to the new platform but still there are some benefits of using nxt. I don't think this airdrop will have same effect as nxt, bitbay still is bitbay, still strong foundations and keep hitting roadmap time to time Wink

How to know you have reached the top 500 people?

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/bay
Rich List > click show top 100 > scroll down and click to show top 500. You should find your wallet address there Cheesy
Enjoy the airdrop

High inflation is not profitable either. The gains on staking must be realistic and not put downward pressure on the market. Currently with the staking weight users actually gain closer to 2% which is pretty decent.

The question was asked on Reddit and I do believe in always giving a straightforward answer. Because indeed not enough funds were available for our initial growth although luckily things have expanded on their own.

Yeah this is a story for the history books. We have come so far since then and have met deadlines and have been the first to release new features such as the decentralized markets which were a year before OpenBazaar. So the current team is extremely good and meeting our timeline. It definitely doesn't feel lonely anymore.  Smiley

The team has grown a lot since then.

Okay so this post is going to be a bit casual but I will forward it to Sean so they can make a nice tutorial with some screenshots.

If using Markets wallet:
Your account that qualifies should be the one you have open
Go to File->Sign/Verify
In the area to enter your message, paste your ETH address without any spaces or extra stuff
Then click sign
Choose one of your keys from the account you have open that qualifies
Then copy the signature and save it somewhere
Click sign again
Choose the second key from the account you have open that qualifies
Then copy the second signature and save it somewhere
Then close that window and go to the send tab
Click on advanced sending
Click on "Copy redeem script"
Then send an email to Optitoken
The contents should be your redeem script, your ETH address and BOTH of your signatures

Is it safe?
And where exactly the "key from the account you have open that qualifies" located?
Thank you!

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding completing contracts. I would like to complete the BitBay faucet contract, and I am unsure regarding the "contract backup files". Should these files be kept secure/hidden? What is their purpose?

The contracts.dat file stores all of your transaction history, present contracts, and associated messages. If you have a large number of open contracts, or a large amount of money tied up a contract, it's a good idea to keep the updated file in a secure location until those transactions are complete.

contractsbackup.dat is simply an up-to-date backup of contracts.dat.

You can learn more about which files are important in video #7, below:
