Judging by the price cut, we'll see at least 10x faster blades.
Operation: "Offloading" Generation 2 confirmed, commencing... Sources? Or just speculation? just speculation, though it is logical that they would get rid of old stock before the new stock. The new stock, though, is probably the new blades, not Gen 2 blades. FC said assembly will start on the Gen2 in Sep/Oct, so I wouldn't expect Gen2 hardware before Nov 1.

Several posts here show a confusion between next "batch" of blades (250TH), and Gen2.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's. This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

So, binaryFate, for you to win ASICMiner needs to find 7 blocks in the next 6 minutes, if they find less than that I win .

Time's up! Max 24h average estimate: 68.642284407 TH/s You did have me worried a bit when I woke up today and saw the spike though! EDIT: The 1 BTC can be sent to the following address: 1PYqHTtGtr4HL44XRcvegxjZ2AJYRsd5Rp Thank you for participating vela, I bet we'll see the 24h average being over 80TH/s during the next 48h.
How much are you willing to bet? Also, guys, there is a speculation thread. Anyway, we're very likely to have a low dividend again. Based on data here: http://www.asicminercharts.com/live/I would bet 1BTC that we will see (at least once) the 24h-average equal or above 80TH/s, during the next 48h. Anybody takes it? I'll take your bet. But first I'd need to know how SmiGueL calculates the hashrate on that site. I know how I do it on my site, and it's really simple: (2 32 * <difficulty>) / (3600*24 / <AM_blocks_per_24h>) Which currently is: (2 32 * 65,750,060.1) / (3600*24 / 14) = 4.575834502×10¹³ = 45.76 TH/s If we use the data from my site you're on! And of course my data is verifiable: If you can find more blocks than I claim, that have the "Mined By ASICMiner" signature in the coinbase you know I'm leaving some blocks out. runeks: ok deal! Cool! So the bet ends 17:00 (3:00 PM) Wednesday, August 28 (48 hours and two minutes from now).

Price of BFL Single: $2499 for 50Ghs.
Price for 5x AM blades: 3.5btc x 5 x 130 = $2275 for 50Ghs.
Every single BFL device that has been pre-ordered just got undercut. I would expect nearly every rational actor with a BFL preorder to cancel immediately. Friedcat just bankrupted them.
I remember that back in April BFL basically doubled its ASIC prices. Game over!

Give the man a rating, runeks. Men who honor their bet losses should be praised, we've seen too many runners/scammers lately.

+1 Just for the record, I was hoping binaryFate would come out on top, even though I highly doubted the possibility.

Thank you very much! Please doing business with you. Remember to buy 1 BTC now at a mere $118 from Bitstamp, so that in 2 years you don't regret losing the $735 a single bitcoin will cost by then . It is if you order today but not if you order in September. In 2 weeks time any profit from this will be purely on ASICMINER's (and investor's) side. Spend the 7 BTC for 2 blades --OR-- 3 shares of ASICMINER and see which investment comes out on top.
