1002  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: August 18, 2023, 01:14:03 AM

1003  Economy / Economics / Re: Would You Consider Adding Bitcoin to Your Retirement Savings on: August 17, 2023, 04:46:28 PM
Bitcoin is a really promising investment, I will also add it to my retirement assets and I agree with you guys, we need to diversify, not just focus on bitcoin, that's too risky.
Most investors that have been saving for their retirement have a lot of diversified assets. It's a wise move that you don't only have Bitcoin as your retirement fund but also it's going to come from various sources. While young, don't take it for granted that you're earning very well and that's why save for the rainy days. You don't know when it will come but just think of it as it's like every day. When you've got that mindset, you'll be forced to save for your retirement and it shouldn't just be savings but it should come from an asset that will generate you the money as you grow old. Passive income as they say and then from there, you'll have to allocate your money to something better. Like now, we're having Bitcoin and soon, we will allocate the profit we get there to another one or direct to your retirement fund.
1004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 17, 2023, 03:28:47 PM
What is your opinion on the Dominican Republic's chances? I'm considering placing a bet on this team.
They're strong, some may underestimate them but they've got a chance to win with those line ups that they've got for their schedules. If you want to put a bet on them, you should and it's up to you which team you'll want to bet. This isn't just all about the support but of course money's on the line so choose what you think have the chance of winning consider also the odds.

According to the OP, the odds for the Dominican Republic to win was x81. However, this was before the announcement of KAT. Probably the odds has already been reduced now, but I still think it's a very attractive odds.

Before the news about Murray being ruled out, the odds were 4.75, so it's likely that those odds will increase now that the bad news has been released. There are lots of opportunities, as some teams probably have not announced their final 12 yet. Additionally, the issue of injuries cannot be neglected, as it could happen before the actual competition. Therefore, following the news would provide us with early insights that could impact our betting decisions.
Yeah, there have been too many changes and for sure the odds will change eventually as the matches are approaching. Just keep on following on the news and who knows that as long as the date for the matches aren't been there, still a lot of things can happen for most of the participating teams that you may be interested to bet with.

Jamal Murray begged off to Canada's national team for the FIBA world cup.

This would affect Canada's chances of winning. For a moment, I considered Canada to be the closest rival to the USA. However, the absence of Jamal Murray, an NBA champion, is a significant setback for the team. Now, I am no longer interested in following this team. I have a feeling that unless their odds increase significantly, they are overvalued.

Regarding the power rankings from 5 days ago, the Dominican Republic was ranked number 10, and with the mentioned odds, this is quite enticing.

Sure they're one of the favorites because of how recent Murray's Nuggets took the championship for the last season in the NBA. That changes the perspective on how people expected him to play but with such surprise announcement, it dropped to the pit for the expectation of many fans.
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 17, 2023, 01:31:03 PM
We were discussing how Canada had a good chance of winning due to Murray. However, now that he has been declared out, this will boost the chance of the USA to win the tournament. It's not good news for Canada, to be honest. Despite this, I still wouldn't bet on the USA. Instead, I would consider other teams that might have a chance to pull off an upset.
He's totally a big caliber for the team but it seems that he needs to take a rest and he surely need that for the upcoming NBA season.

1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in DogeCoin or Bakac Coin for the Uptrend season? on: August 17, 2023, 10:59:10 AM
Doesn't sound like a good coin. But if someone's going to compare Dogecoin with any other altcoins/meme coins, I'd get to choose Dogecoin, there's no doubt.

There is an airdrop, do you guys do the airdrop
I don't but there's still plenty of airdroppers that have been looking into from project to project. I saw successful people that have made a lot of money from those airdrops. But just as the usual ones, it's unknown for this one and you'll not know if it's a good one or bad one until it becomes.

I'm not from there but I'm starting to watch videos from people there. I haven't seen one that told about internet censorship.
But with what I've watched for the other videos. It's mostly rant about the government on how they're having huge rents in the capital and as well as those complaints on how they're not keeping up with the economy. The typical issues that I've seen that's being said by a citizen for which they're not the only one that's telling this. I saw this article and it's from last year.

1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: August 17, 2023, 08:01:14 AM
Indeed required with wagering or not we need read all term of service some gambling platform before sign up account, many gambler forget and skip for reading all term of service and complaint later when their withdrawing problem due need wagering. Its consequence with some gambling platform have been adopt with minimum wagering time for withdrawing fund and we need real carefully what rule of some gambling platform actually with withdrawing fund procedure.
We have to admit that most gamblers don't read the TOS that are written upon signing up. Who the heck is reading that anyway with the first tries of gambling? People will just going to read it when something wrong happens and they need to check out if it's on the TOS. That's the truth that we'll just check it if a problem through the process has been encountered. Otherwise, we'll keep going.

Not only about wagering but also read all term service about KYC required or not and all rule with gambling platform, don't be disappointed later when our fund not available for withdrawing without completed with task required.
Expect that most of the casinos these days are asking for KYC, so whether you read it or not. When you've won huge amounts, there's the expectation that you need to comply on it because you've win big money.
1010  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: August 17, 2023, 06:43:09 AM
Ibinalik yung leaderboard rewards  sa v2 ahh though wala pading slp sa game as far as I know.
1011  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: August 17, 2023, 06:21:37 AM
Parang gusto lagi nasa media kahit wala namang kwenta sinasabi.

1012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking Coins With Annual Returns - Good Idea on: August 16, 2023, 11:55:42 PM
Similarly, avoid all project where they invite new investors by showing attractive offers.
Assess if the projected rate is too good to be true. If you think that they're manageable, then invest with caution. Not everyone can monitor that but at least we've given them some clue on how they should take care of themselves.

Older investors have more experience in the crypto market so they don't rush to invest and always pick the best coins. Moreover, there are many old projects for staking programs where the risk is low and the profits is dependent. So I think old projects will be best for stake planning and especially those who are newbie investors.
Exactly.
We tend to get into those that have been tested and proven that they're not going to have an exit scam. Even if they only offer a small amount of rate but they're genuine rates and won't make the project bankrupt. But even with that, still, one has to be careful if it's about investing into staking coins.
1013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next Bitcoin Bull Run: Is It Tied to the Next Halving? on: August 16, 2023, 11:24:11 PM
So, what are your thoughts? Do you believe that the next Bitcoin bull run is likely to follow the upcoming halving, or do you think the market has evolved beyond such a simple pattern?
It has evolved somehow but it's always that the cycle portrays how the next bull run will come.

Are there any other indicators or factors that you're closely watching? Let's share our insights and engage in a constructive discussion on this fascinating topic.
None at all but just the cycles and halving and bit of news.

Remember, none of us can predict the future with absolute certainty, but by combining our knowledge and perspectives, we can gain a deeper understanding of the complex forces driving the cryptocurrency market. Let's keep the conversation respectful and open-minded as we explore the possibilities together.

Looking forward to hearing your opinions and theories!
Right, the last bull run was quite different because the gain was astronomical. But if we're going to look at the charts, it should really is but it's based on long term gains unlike the 2021 bull run which was the most impressive so far.
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PYUSD a.k.a Paypal USD on: August 16, 2023, 10:50:25 PM
After reading the news I was surprised about the real motive of the PayPal team to create another stablecoin into the market not to talk about the stablecoin being issued by Paxos Trust Company which has issued a lot of stablecoin before since Paxos Trust Company is regulated by the New York State Department of financial services (NYDFS) I expect nothing but just a total centralized stablecoin to control people.
That's what it really is, these companies are making stable coins for their own sake. It's nothing new since we've been stuck in the system where the central bank have been printing our money ever since. With this system that they're trying to built, we're going to start the companies printing their own stable coins soon and this is aside from the CBDCs that we're seeing left and right.

I'm not sure if it's their last resort, but I'm not gonna use it either. I had a bad experience with it too, and I can't trust them at all.
If you had a bad experience with them, much better not to go after them again. But can't stop those people that might like this idea.
1015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dreaming That I'm Playing In A Casino, Do You Have One, on: August 16, 2023, 10:16:00 PM
It's just a dream and doesn't really affect our everyday choices.
Yup, but it becomes curious to some.

Loads of people have tried to read all sorts of stuff into dreams, but none of them are true. Dreams are just our brain doing its thing while we sleep. Sometimes it's just tossing around random thoughts, feelings, and memories that we picked up while awake. They don't hold deep significance or foresee the future.
Although it did not happen to me, you're right that whatever our brain pitches us then the chances of seeing it on our dream is high. It is no question that a gambler will dream of playing in a casino. Especially when you're wanting to visit a physical casino anytime soon.
1016  Economy / Economics / Re: All millions are from real estate. on: August 16, 2023, 09:43:18 PM
Well, so far, real estate is a very good investment. So many millionaires have used real estate to their advantage, and it really does.
Actually, most of them really are into real estate, and if not. Those that have became rich from other industries, they tend to invest as well in real estate because they know how valuable it is.

Apart from the small risk, the value always increases every year. I think increasing real estate investment before retirement is a very good strategy.
It is one of the best strategies because we'll never have to think of its value going down unless there's a bubble in your area. But still, the value will be back again and you can earn passive income on it through rentals.

Until now, I am also still trying to combine crypto and real estate. We know that crypto is also a good investment and fast in terms of profit. Those profits can be funneled into real estate, and I think enough people have tried that, and not a few have succeeded.
Right, the profits that we make in crypto can be diversified into real estate. But one thing is, big capital is needed but it's rewarding.
1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi network KYC on: August 16, 2023, 09:08:13 PM
AFAIK, the Pi that's on huobi isn't really the Pi that your brother is mining. It's because if it does then there will be no Pi Coins holder hoping for it to get listed on any exchange. It's like a chain and token that's just made by huobi to attract all of those Pi holders to make it look like they're not losing the trend. It's been so long that this coin hasn't been listed on any exchange and not even on its own exchange if there's one that's being mentioned by the team. Sad to say that those that have complied for its KYC since the devs have asked for it were likely just collected it and sold it somewhere else. Just accept it together with your brother that it's certainly just a waste of effort collecting and mining those.
1018  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 16, 2023, 08:17:40 PM
I've got friends that have been like that, they're family oriented but behind that they're hiding a problem that they're struggling financially because of one's addiction. I don't know how they're doing right now but I think that they're able to solve that problem eventually. And that's because the wife will leave the husband if he didn't change for the better. There are times that these secrets aren't really good especially if it's affecting the family.

I cannot imagine how did the family handled it because going through like that is no joke, they could've done so many things and had many options, but they don't know what to do because they don't even know that their main provider is already addicted in gambling. And to make it worse, he or she was already on the situation where there is no turning back and he can only afford to say sorry for what he or she have done.
Well, every challenge can be surpassed and overcome but I've got not idea on how they're going since it was just like a message/DM that I've received but I cannot avail to help them that time. There's really no turning back on its effect but just have to deal with it and become the better person if you keep doing the wrong thing.

Some families didn't survive the trouble while some family remained intact but safe to say that they had to deal with it painfully and gave an option to the one who was addicted to gambling to choose between them or gambling, and the rest is history. But hopefully, when things are getting more comfortable again, I hope they wouldn't go through that situation again because there are still some chances you know.
I hope so too. There have been problems that they need to deal with and I think this is not the toughest that they've been through. Anyway, that's the lesson there that if we're a family man, we know our priorities and we need to do things comfortable for them even if we want to gamble or not. You know what to do and it's fine to such activities but make sure that you don't compromise your priorities.
1019  Other / Politics & Society / Re: POLITICS AND LIES on: August 16, 2023, 07:57:05 PM
It is looking like telling lies is the prerequisite of becoming a politician. As a matter of fact, there is a way you will tell lies that people will start suspecting you to be a politician.  How we get to this point in human history is what no one can explain.
It's true that even how you like a politician, the tendency of them telling a lie and promises that won't happen is a huge percentage of what they say during campaign periods. Well, there's no need for any explanation on it because that's what they do to obtain power and wealth through the means of being into those public positions.

I don't know about your country but in my country, politicians buy over media empires to sell lies and propaganda to the public... I know this is not peculiar to my country. This may be the reason there is a growing distrust between the leaders and the followers.
This is also happening in my country, it's sad that even though we've got a rich country but because of the politicians. Now, our country is unlikely to get itself up because of mishandling and wrong politicians. I still have high hopes that there will be legitimate political people that has the genuine political will to help it recover.

But is politics supposed to really be about lies? Why is the polity dominating by propaganda?
To mislead people and those politicians that are doing that shouldn't be trusted, shouldn't be given a public office.

Working over 20 years still poor

Not working hard enough Tongue

Cool
Well, I am pretty sure that I've seen people work hard and very well but it seems that their hard work isn't still enough. So, you're right that they didn't work hard enough. However, in this generation, working smart is another thing that everyone has to consider to become rich. Whilst those that have worked for the rest of their lives and they've got exact provisions for themselves, the definition of being poor on them is subjective on what they think about it. So it has to be both working hardly and smartly or wisely.

~

Of course, you are right. Work smart as well as hard.

The smart work people should get together and recall any or their Congress people who don't shut down the Federal Reserve Bank. Why? Because it is the double standards that the Fed is doing that is creating places like the homelessness in Portland, Frisco, and LA.

How is the Fed doing this? By multiplying money out of thin air, thereby causing inflation that the people can't handle.

Cool
You're right. That's one thing that we can't deal with and it's a sad truth that even how hard we work hard and smart, there's always this factor on why we have to push further and work even more. This inflation is unstoppable and just as the taxes that we're paying, this is going forever and no one will be able to defeat that unless there has been a government move to stop it and give it wholly to the people. But no, they want people to work their assess all day long so they keep the government keep going on.
