1021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sudden Wealth Syndrome (SWS) In Gambling on: August 11, 2023, 06:37:16 AM
Sudden changes in a person's financials is never a good thing. A poor person who became rich in a very short time will have difficulties to adapt to the new reality.

I can imagine. If you live in a modest neighbourhood and you win a fortune, what do you do, do you tell everyone? If you do, you're putting yourself on the target of thieves and kidnappers, plus a lot of people will start asking you for money. If you don't and for example you move without telling anyone, you disappear from the neighbourhood and move to a rich area, suddenly you are friendless and you have to try to adapt to the new reality.

That's why I think the best way to get rich is slowly and if you get something, make sure it's a big but not exorbitant amount, although you can't choose about that.

Not the kind of reality, something worse. When money gets into the head of this person, he may start demanding and oppressing people who are less fortunate.

I can compare this to someone I know who after his sister became a lawyer, got friends in the government position and after a short period of time land grabs the farms belonging to their cousins. People suddenly fee like they are above the law when they have money.
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: August 10, 2023, 09:13:28 PM

Imho, the fact that he was a boxer, does not mean he can be a good coach. Punching people is one thing, but seeing everything (opponent) from different angle, building strategy, planning, training is different.

It's different when you have someone in your corner who's been there and have one everything, Mike can impart some of his skill in the ring but of course, Mike Tyson is different from Ngannou, in Mike Tyson's heydays he has no strategy he just goes there and goes for the kill, he believes that everyone has a plan until they get hit, so if Mike can teach how to throw a more powerful punch and hit the target at the right time, Ngannou has a good chance, checking the poll here it's a close one, but we have a long way to go, and there's plenty of time for Mike to teach Ngannou everything he knows.

Tyson   - 19 (54.3%)
Ngannou   - 16 (45.7%)
Draw   - 0 (0%)
Total Voters: 35

Yeah, a prime Mike Tyson is very scary, but I do think that he trains hard as well during his early days that's why he almost knockout his opponents.

But going back to this fight, he could motivate Francis too and maybe gives one or two pointers on how to throw that devastating knockout if he sees one. Votes though are very close in our community. But if you look at sports bookies, they really favor Tyson Fury and Francis is like 6:1 underdog. So it's just a matter of execution for Francis and he should be aware on how he can preserved his energy for the later rounds.

Ngannou might only be good if he is the one dictating the game because this would be what Mike would teach him to be. Not like a technical fighter who will identify patterns of how Fury reacts to certain approaches. Ngannou may fail in being a pressure fighter against Fury but he only needs one punch.

Like what Mike was always quoted. Everybody has a plan until they got punched in the face. Though it's a long shot, I would still hope for Ngannou to win. A new face coming from a very depressed country rising like Pheonix.

1023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 10, 2023, 06:49:40 PM

Dana is also behind the hype of this as he had been setting up the two yet he can't give a final date of when the battle will be.
But in an interview no one is ducking anyone and he got a point when he says the two are not professional fights for a living.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boRl-jOJ9IM&t=362s

I still think this is not happening because of Dana's response. If he had been talking to both of these billionaires and still are unsure of the dates then its the billionaires is the one playing Dana.
Yeah, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerburg are one of the most powerful people in our world right now and it is still their decision if they will get along with the hype of Dana created. Both of them are had their own footage of doing MMA trainings and both of them are trained or guided by professional MMA fighter. There's still a chance that they will both fight and honestly I'm rooting for them to fight. I'm speculating that if the fight happens, the losing player will either X(twitter) or facbook stocks will be affected by the outcome.

I can only assume Zucker vs Musk fight will happen in the metaverse since later in this interview, you will learn that UFC and meta ventured into the metaverse. I guess only their avatars will fight in the Metaverse. Nothing serious about this especially because they are not really into combat sports.

In the Metaverse, anything can happen. Everyone onboard in meta can have their own avatar created by AI and can do all sorts of sports. Thats where we are heading I guess yet we still can bet.

If you show the world you live a high life once upon a time and then suddenly you couldn't afford it anymore then your friends will really wonder you are not going out anymore when you used to like hanging out back when you still have a lot of money. So this SWS will affect your socialization.

But I don't see this as a disorder. Anyone who suddenly got a huge wealth that you are not used to may really decide to do something with the money after especially if they earn it easily.
1026  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 10, 2023, 04:59:00 PM

Some of these people are professionals and don't wanna publicize what they are doing as can hurt their reputation or be judged. A doctor and is also a father who is looked up to by their kids. Their kids look at them as their heroes so it would make sense to just keep it a secret. Just let it be known to no one and continue their life as it should.

When kids turn teens somehow a prejudice is created in their minds and think less of their parents.
And at the same time, parents protect those kids so will not gamble if they know their parents don't gamble.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 09, 2023, 08:38:27 PM
I still feel like Elon Musk was and is just bragging about it but things get little bit too big. I think Elon Musk is probably gonna use that surgery thing as excuse, nothing other. I would definitely love to watch billionaires fight each other - not denying this - but it still feels too awkward and weird and probably not gonna happen. Youtubers did these fights many times for likes, subs, money and also gambling sponsors but billionaires don't exactly need those in their lives. I hope Elon Musk is not misleading us all.

I didn’t see this fight being a reality then and I still don’t see it happening now. It definitely would be really good to watch billionaires trade blows and knock each others teeth out. But as much as I along with a lot of people would love to see this fight become a reality, I doubt that it would. In my opinion, both men have absolutely nothing to gain by fighting in a cage match. They don’t actually need the money nor publicity that would be gotten from the fight. They’re both wealthy and famous already and don’t stand to gain anything from the fight.
Concerning this fight, I think Elon isn’t being serious and perhaps is having a few laughs at our expense.

These two are not like Jake Paul who makes money out of it, they are wealthier than anyone in boxing nor form UFC. Why they would fight physically is just beyond the understanding of billionaires, any of them who will lose this fight will be shamed to death on social media which the two also own each social media site.

They will not fight literally in the cage but will just keep bashing on twitter after all, this is kind of an index to watch out or Elon so he'll know people are still using his X than that new Threads.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: August 09, 2023, 07:33:37 PM
Do you think its possible to become addicted to gambling when you haven't win a dime or after you win?

When the person starts chasing the loss he'd made. That's when he takes a dive deeper and will probably end up gambling more and losing more as well. At first, he will look for strategies to win and tries these strategies with some amount of money. The next he will try another game as well he never knew before just thinking he would win.

It doesn't really start with a win before a person will try over and over but usually, it is after a win that drives his hope.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: August 09, 2023, 06:56:34 PM
Basically it is all about Trump is a "criminal", we know this now, you can believe it or not but that's the official fact, you can consider this as just "they are attacking him" or whatever, but he has been indicted and officially on the record as a criminal. This means that, "democracy", as in we can vote whoever we want, is working if Trump is nominated, but is it really what everyone needs?

By this logic, could they have voted for Dahmer as well, I am talking about in theory, if a criminal is capable of being elected, by that logic Dahmer could have been voted, he was a criminal too, why the difference? If someone committed treason while they are on the job, then I am sorry but this is beyond democracy, he shouldn't be allowed to be elected at all.

Legally Trump is not a criminal, he is a defendant. He is not guilty until proven otherwise by a jury of his peers in a fair trial.
Though, I understand your point, he is being politically attacked by his foes both in national TV and in speeches for the crimes he is being indicted for and sadly that is how news and social media work nowadays.

The hosts on TV are more interested to label Trump as a criminal (before there is a final judgment) and convince their viewers about it than presenting facts and events in a neutral manner.

Let us not commit a mistake, though. Trump is far from being a good person, but the political left can be equally as extreme as their political opponents when it is about throwing dirt on them.  Roll Eyes

He is less evil though. During his time, he fought no war. Media prosecution is just too much and Biden is winning that battle but in social media, it's a different platform where the legacy media has almost no influence. It's just facebook and twitter trying to censor those posts and ban users.

Even when the time Trump was the president a single tiny mistake is magnified by the media but in the time of Biden where evidence shows how corrupt the big man is, the media just ignores it.
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peer pressure as a substantial gambling catalyst. on: August 09, 2023, 05:31:42 PM

My cousins play cards on most weekends and I tend to go visit their place every weekend too. I'm not sure if it can be considered peer pressure as I always play along after all we are just cousins and the money won are often chip-in for the drinks. It doesn't need teasing for me to sit on the blackjack table even with just $10 capital.

It's the social media influencers that promote casinos who are really converting non-gamblers to start exploring since they show it's easy to win from games like Minesweeper.
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of casinos that allows "free spins and no deposit" on: August 09, 2023, 05:07:04 PM
The Decentralized casino that supposedly will not ask KYC is even asking when you try to withdraw. It's hard to come by the kind of casinos OP asked but free spins are offered to the majority of the casino and it's just unsure whether the user can withdraw.

I don't see any reason why you would be looking for these kinds of casinos unless you are just going to keep playing the free spins hoping for your lucky strike. Or promote them in an article with your ref link, that's been done every now and then as newbies are attracted to these publications.
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: August 09, 2023, 04:54:36 PM
I watched some of the fight and then watched the highlights of the fights the next day.  I am once again annoyed that someone didn't know the f out of Jake Paul ( I would prefer him and his douche of a brother both get knocked out every fight they take), but of course he wasn't fighting a boxer per usual.

When are these dudes going to fight legitimate pro boxers their own age??

Jake Paul has already fought a good boxer, Tommy Fury, and in fact, that's where his only loss came from. Tommy Fury is 24 years old, while Jake Paul is 26. He probably realized that he can't beat a legitimate boxer, so he chose an old and retired UFC fighter. At the end of the day, all he cares is he can win and make a good amount of money at the same time. That's how smart he is.

Agreed, Jake Paul is an influencer/content creator that use boxing as his main content. It’s obvious that he will cherry pick opponents to make his career attractive to his viewers. He is not a professional boxer per se and it's actually impressive that someone like that is not a pro is fighting professional athletes on physical sports.

His fights is actually good for content and people not satisfied because most of his fight is not from pro boxer on prime is missing the fact that he is a content creator not a pro. Jake Paul doing a great job for his career.

From this time on, he will be picking only those who couldn't defeat him after all he is the one paying those fighters. He is defeating the legendaries in UFC though, the record is quite impressive for those who are not aware those legendaries like Silva are out of shape. And it's also attracting a lot of attention every time because the fans are still spending for the tickets.

If Conor just doesn't have enough money, he would have offered millions to him for a fight. The next target I guess is Chuck Norris.  Grin
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that you will be hold till next Bull Run on: August 09, 2023, 04:10:57 PM

SHIB. 17% growth this week. That shouldn't be bad to have bought it last month. And investors are waiting for the Shibarium while exchanges are adding the $BONE. I guess this will be a great investment still despite how much it made the investor bleed since the last bull run.

It disappoints the haters thinking it will actually die eventually but still kicking to this day. Unless you think another meme will come out, then you can still ignore SHIB. A few months ago, this token ranked 17th but it climbed up to 14th.
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: August 08, 2023, 08:56:52 PM

People implemented their exclusion program on some casinos but they eventually created another account. This is just one proof that addiction is really a force one may consciously allow things to happen. He likes what he is falling into and he is in deep trouble. And then consciously complains to the casino that he was allowed to create a new account when he activated the exclusion feature. This is already madness.

I think one should really be diverting their energy to somewhere else. A new habit that a person still enjoys doing.
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: *** Exploring Unique Advertising Opportunities in the Gambling Sector*** on: August 08, 2023, 08:08:12 PM

Any business would want exposure to traffic where people who are interested in certain topics and any website that can offer this traffic is most welcome by casinos or crypto projects. These advertisers however want a guarantee that they benefit while paying a website to offer such traffic.

The website/blog owner is no different from those youtuber/streamers or influencers, they just have to have an enormous amount of followers to look good for those advertisers.

So why not go to adnetwork by the way?  Theres plenty of them.
1036  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bigspins.net PvP crypto gambling on: August 08, 2023, 07:31:44 PM
You can browse over to the website Bigspins.net since he had not added anything to this OP.

PvP platform seems interesting but I haven't seen anything like it. I was hoping players bet on something, not like the casino games so I'm curious how it works in crash or roulette. I'm assuming the platform will earn a tiny percentage from both players? One thing that I find uninteresting is that users will need to log in using the Steam or Google account.

Only need one tweet of Elon and the crowd on Twitter hails it like he is going to win their fight. Looks like everyone wants the fight to happen while he is just trolling. Obviously, the news already broke days ago that he needs surgery on his back going to his neck, there is no way he can win such a contact sport.

If a guy like Elon only knows a weird dance step he seems not in control of his limbs, he will not win. You can already tell what he can do in the cage.

You are talking about Aimbot worth $6? https://coinmarketcap.com/dexscan/ethereum/0xe05d099bfd7f4aa9f2e696f6c3ebe181479961a5/

I couldn't find a thread talking about this project here in the forum but because it has such a high price while it's unknown to the largest crypto forum, I wouldn't trust putting a huge amount to invest in it. I would just say it is all up to you.  The good sign I saw was that the project is open source and of course its AI that could help a newbie to trade well. Who wouldn't want that?
1040  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 08, 2023, 06:02:36 PM

There is a simple side to it why they chose to keep the activity hidden. They just don't want any argument between their wife and him. Everybody has a secret to keep and just leave it that way since it could spoil more arguments that will lead to something else like breaking a family.

If it couldn't make the family relationship better after the man wins the jackpot, it will still be best to leave the habit a secret after all the gambler is a grown man who knows whats the right thing to do.
