1101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: August 04, 2023, 05:47:17 PM
yes the only way to stop gambling is Self control which means if we have a discipline in our self and we can control them we can quit gambling in a short period of Time because quitting from addiction the main reason behind that success is self control motivation and discipline.
And self-control will only knock once a gambler doesn't have anything left anymore. That's going to force a gambler to stop and whether you like it or not, when you've got nothing left that will make you realize that you shouldn't go further or else you'll lose more.
A disciplined person will have himself understand that there's nothing on him if he's not careful with his actions and decisions upon gambling when things have been worst already.

Cause in the world of gambling we can't control ourselves then addiction is on the way to tempt us .
Temptation will remain there but we have the way to resist it based on our experiences and our will.
1102  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are crypto currency exchanges doing to foster crypto adoption? on: August 04, 2023, 05:03:48 PM
It shouldn't be a question. If it's not for them then we won't be interested in it, there can still be people that will be up to P2P trades but these exchanges have been playing a big role in this industry. You sell crypto and they take it and in return, they'll give you fiat.
We have to admit that's one reason that exchanges are there and that's assuring people that there will be a trade no matter what these exchanges are. They're built for that and I think they've got each of their own ways of contributing to the factor of adoption like making beginners steps and guides posted on their blogs and websites.
1103  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May Mga Influencer Ba Tayo Na Tutok Sa Cryptocurrency? on: August 04, 2023, 03:48:25 PM

Yung mga more sa tutorials, guides, unbiased reviews, insights and analysis.

Luis is one of those that I highly respected. No question ako sa kanya. Met him nung Philippine Web3 Festival and he was approachable and a down to earth guy.

As for Kookoo I am kinda neutral lang but he’s a cool guy when I’ve met him a few times at na invite ko pa sa aming small meetup last year sa Cebu.

As for Marvin, he still has long ways to go to be someone that I can really find value kahit gaano pa karami subs nya.

And as for others naman, I do not really follow because more sila sa pag hard shill ng mga ponzis at rug pulls.
Grin
1104  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bakit takot ang mga Filipino na pasukin ang crypto? on: August 04, 2023, 03:02:25 PM
Let's be honest, we, Filipino lacked in financial education. maraming takot dahil madalas wala educational background ang pinoy. Isa pa, karamihan sa pinoy is isang kahig isang tuka, they earn enough just to buy basic everyday needs.

1105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: August 03, 2023, 08:56:27 PM
Gambling is mainly only a source of steady income for the owners of a casino, it is a delusional thought if gamblers thinks they could rely on gambling to generate a steady income unless that gambler is a professional poker player as poker is a game which rely more on strategy instead of luck since it a game played between multiple players themselves instead of the casino.
Aside from the owners, the other people that earn stably from gambling are the staff as well of the casinos, and don't forget about the streamers and influencers that are paid by the casinos. For example with stake, Drake, Israel, and other known personalities in their respective sports and industries. These people that have been getting paid for a contract by the casinos are seeing gambling as a good source of income and don't forget about the partnerships that teams and clubs get for displaying a logo on their t shirts or elsewhere in arenas.
1106  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 10 tips to manage one's emotions while trading crypto. on: August 03, 2023, 05:41:39 PM
Although, this is different scenarios altogether, it doesn't alter the fact that anger is just an emotional state that can lead anyone to undergo courageous feat like trading crypto with the aim of gaining more than losing.
I wouldn't deal with it as 'just' an emotional state. It's important to recognize how you'll be f* up with it if you just think of it as something nominal. It's part of being a trader to deal with it but most are having a hard time in doing so.

People get anger due to the fact of losing some money, but loss is come in crypto trading because of selling at panic.
Loss is also coming to those that don't get into the news that's coming in the market. So, aside from being emotional and dramatic, someone's lack of info from the typical thing in the market could lead to potential losses and not just about panic selling.
1107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worldcoin launch with ORB to scan your eyes on: August 03, 2023, 03:43:23 PM
Well I was surprised to hear about this news. Worldcoin has said that it has 2.2 Million users that have signed up so far in past 2 years. And now Britain, France, and Germany are even going to look in to it.

I do not believe this many people are doing this. They are giving up their identity to we dont even know who. It would be better if all those people bought Bitcoin instead of scan their eyes.
If they can provide actual and real data on this one then I might believe. But if it's just all words and numbers that they're projecting on their website or elsewhere then it's hard to believe that they do have the actual numbers that use them. Aside from scanning the iris, what's next? Getting the fingerprints of everyone for a few bucks? I don't think that even if we're aware of some importance of not providing it to any project, there will be people that's going to provide it for them and willingly to send it to them for the few money that they're going to give in return and exchange of those.
1108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: August 03, 2023, 01:45:11 PM
He's just getting his fame, and with that good chemistries with his teammates coach Tim is trusting him as one of their legit shooter, just in the young age of his pro career and he really giving that spot a green light from everyone inside the Brgy, looking forward to see details with how it would be and what are the potential, if how technology will help him to cope up with this injury.
I am hoping that he'll heal soon.

HAHAHAHA!  Pointing that one out, nothing but to fully agree coach Yeng will try to bring all the best with his players and not just to let them feel the tournament and try to learn from it, they are representing the county with the mindset of winning and not just to bring the flag hahaha..
Some words may have a meaning but it's just a typical thing to say that who knows if we might snatch a win. Doesn't sound confident but it's the usual reaction that we say to something that we really have no control over its results.

I'm not sure if I would agree with you on that because I believe that Coach Yeng has not proven anything yet as a coach in international games. If there's a coach whom I think would do better than Coach Chot, it should be Coach Tim Cone and not Coach Yeng or any other active PBA coaches now.

Let's see if he could bring success for the country. The last time I remember during the Jones Cup, there were some highlights on the internet showing how the Philippines was able to win by upsetting the USA. I'm not sure if that was the predecessor to the current event, but I'm hoping for the same success. However, under Coach Yeng, I'm not 100% confident he'll deliver.
That's okay and I agree with you that Coach Chot has got more experience than Yeng and it's just that he's not for these things. But we're seeing on how Coach Chot is managing the team through international games and he's reasoning out at most times just for the safe sake that all of these games are for learning.
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's safe to say - gambling is a guy thing. on: August 03, 2023, 11:19:08 AM
Why is it that we tend to have alot of men inclined and addicted to gambling than women? Is there any mystery guiding that?
There's no mystery with that because it seems that almost every activity, there are more men.

I mean, You ain't gonna telme that everyone isn't roofed by this economic crises - both gender to speak of - so what's so special about men gambling?? Alot of cases has been reported several times too - and y'all end up realizing that MEN are usually involved in very many critical cases... What's that validating?
Sandra 🧑‍🦰
There's the stereotype whenever a woman gambles and that's why it's expected to see that the majority of the gamblers are just men. But if you look at many situations, there are in some specific casinos where it chooses no gender and women there are also hyper in gambling.

That men are really taking the whole thing personal??

Sandra 🧑‍🦰
It's more of an individual Sandra that takes gambling seriously because when your money is on the line, it's like that your life is on it as well and you don't wanna lose it.
1110  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: August 03, 2023, 10:54:29 AM

1111  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: August 03, 2023, 03:26:11 AM

1112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: August 02, 2023, 09:08:44 PM
If we planned our gambling bet we should not be going crazy after when we have not meet up our target in gambling
You just can't tell that with those gamblers that have goals within the day and won't give up until they meet their planned target. But it's needed to give them reminders because who knows if they're also exceeded to the limit that they are able to set.

what i expected every gambler is to make table of how much should be spend in gambling and how much should go investment, because money we loses in gambling continuously if we gather it together it will sum up to start a little business. I'm say play gamble with experience, don't use all you have for casino gambling
Even if you give that reminder for so long, you'll not be able to stop those gamblers that can't even stop themselves even if they're out of the budget. As long it's their money and they take accountability of any loss they make, that's fine and they don't gamble with borrowed or loaned money which make things more complicated as this really happens in real life and they just can't contain themselves doing it.
1113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: August 02, 2023, 07:33:00 PM
Hoping that we will hear good updates regarding to that injury, it might possibly an old injury that being triggered witht that attempt to do a euro-step and his feet did not allign well, still positive that it won't be an career ending issue for him, still young and already playing comfortable with the team.
I'm not sure if he's got that much history on injury and if it's the one that has triggered it. But it's not really looking good and that's all the best thing that we can ever ask for, for his speedy recovery and hopefully this won't be the final season of his career and he'll be back soon.

By the way I read all the players and coach tim reaction, all of them are surprise and showing that they shared the pain for his fellow ka-brgy., That's the brotherhood and for sure the fans are feeling that same way.
Yes, that's how good being part of the barangay is and will always be. Anyway, the thing with the ROS representing the Jones cup and having that statement by Yeng. It does really create a lot of meaning having that said but one thing for sure, he's different from Chot that don't have a winning mentality and just keeps on wanting more experience and learning.
1114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Borrow to Buy Bitcoin is Not Advisable.Consider the Factors Before Doing That. on: August 02, 2023, 06:39:57 PM
I think it's a bad idea to invest in bitcoin by borrowing money, even if you've done your analysis correctly, it's like gambling and there's always the risk of losing your current prosperity. instead, first get a job that you're sure will actually make you money and create resources for yourself, then invest in bitcoin with the resources you've created. i wouldn't recommend investing by risking your future because it will be much more difficult to recover in a bad situation
It's certainly a gamble. Borrowing in a highly volatile investment is a no-no thing that shouldn't be done. We're all bitcoin advocates and investors here but don't encourage that to be done by someone who's gone that far. Too many people have gone that much and made a wrong decision because just after borrowed, they've done a pretty bad timing. But even with good timing, it's a gamble that one should be willing to take as a risk but much better not to. I doubt that if someone tells a lender that you're in need of money and they need to approve it because you'll invest it in something else like bitcoin, you'll get approve. It's much more likely that they'll decline that loan you're gonna ask them to do.
1115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the best Altcoin for this moment to accumulate right now? on: August 02, 2023, 05:02:57 PM
I want to find a good Altcoin to invest in before the bull starts, also have a non-custodial exchange. This means, that we have complete control over our funds.
ETH.

If there is, please help convey it, because a lots of new altcoins was born every day.
Don't get confused with the new altcoins coming every day in the market. Many of them are like made to be cash outlets of the developers and the investors will be left behind. It's an easy way for them to swindle the money of these innocent investors like you. That's why if it seems too interesting to get on hand with them, you just don't have to do that and focus with some other altcoins that you're researching about. Make sure that you don't just listen to anybody but at the same time you're doing your own research as that's much needed for someone like you who looks further to the market before the bull run.
1116  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: August 02, 2023, 02:37:36 PM

1118  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 10 tips to manage one's emotions while trading crypto. on: August 01, 2023, 09:03:23 PM
Acting on anger will lose your focus. That's what you have to control because having that emotion will make you a reckless type of trader. You won't believe that it actually happened when you're in that position and you will be surprised when it has actually happened.

Thank you so much for presenting these essential tips so beautifully. Emotions are a big obstacle in trading. That's why emotions have to be strictly controlled in trading. Without control emotions we will be loser from trading. I think these tips are very important in trading. Who will follow this tips properly he will be gainer in trading.
It is true, it is an obstacle that you'll never like. Because once you let your emotion be the one to manipulate you, you'll not be able to control the setting of your mood. And with that, that will affect your trading decisions.
1119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: August 01, 2023, 07:10:44 PM
As for me personally, I would accept it without any hesitation since 5 BTC could enable me to start my own gambling site and potentially make a great business with it and it would lead me for sure to additional income.
Honestly, that's a small amount to start with if you want to have your own gambling site established. But yes, that amount could be enough to start with but as you progress and make the website better, you'll need more funds for it because the longer you stay, the more customers you need to cater and that's going to cost you more. As long as it grows, for sure that you'll get more additional income but it's not going to be easy as you may think. And for one to quit with that payment, it's one of the best deals that one can take. So if it ever happens, whether someone gives you a capital or not and you're able to make it happen, good luck.
1120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: August 01, 2023, 05:22:58 PM
Guys, have you seen the injury of Jeremiah Gray? Just looking at it makes me feel the pain. For those that have missed that, here's the news about him from spin.ph.

He's shouting in pain. Hopefully, it's not a career-ending injury, same with you just, by looking you'll feel the pain. Though with the advance technology and he's still young the chance of curing that injury might still be possible, it's really unavoidable when playing, even it's just an On-Tour game, players are doing their job to entertain the fans and they are really trying to bring that enjoyment.

Looking with that play, you would think that it is just a simple miss step doing that side euro step but when he fell down and shouting with pain, that replay will let you see that it's not an ordinary mistake but his feet did not follow properly that side step that he's planning to do, ending with this hard fell and an injury.
That's really something that needs a long time for recovery. Looking at how painful it was looks like a career-ending injury. But I just wish that he gets better. This was a tough time for him and this is also a lesson learned for him.

The PBA tour is now over, so there won't be much action to witness going forward, except for the international games.

Speaking of international games, what do you think about Coach Yeng's statement?

Guiao admits tough task ahead for RoS in Jones Cup

Quote
THE pressure may be on, but Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao vows to bring the same gung-ho spirit the team has been known for when it represents the country in the 42nd Jones Cup.

"Tingnan natin. I feel baka maka-disgrasya tayo ng ilang teams doon," said Guiao about the Elasto Painters' campaign in the August 12-20 meet at the Taipei Heping basketball gymnasium.

By his statement, it looks like he doesn't feel that ROS will be competitive enough in the Jones Cup.
That's just Yeng being Yeng. But I am sure that he's pretty much prepared for it when it has started.

So I'm just curious, why was ROS chosen to represent our country in that league if they are not capable of winning?
Maybe because that they're just the available team to say yes? I don't know.
