1121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to Mine KAWPOW with AMD R9 390 on: August 15, 2020, 12:16:03 AM
Install windows 10 pro and the latest driver for this video card. Everything should work fine.
I had problems on Windows 8.1 with AMD video cards, so I use either Win 10 or Linux OS for mining (hive, etc.)
AMD R9 390 consumes a lot of electricity and mining on it is not very profitable right now.

The R9 390 can do around 16 - 17 mh on kawpow. Not bad for that old card.

Quote
the appearance of the developer is quite possible, since someone recently removed the ether from one of the addresses of the Claymore Commission.
As for other miners, Claymore is the main one and has an incomparable user base.
In any case I hope for the return of the king

For you he is the king maybe, for most of us not. So many other miners do it better than claymore.
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The Claymore miner era is coming to an end on: August 14, 2020, 08:51:35 PM
So it turns out that the era of the Claymore miner has come to its end.
There is no update and will no longer be, the main coin for mining will go into the POS phase within a year.
There would be a chance of support if the source code was open.
And so, it turns out that the most advanced miner for ether will soon become completely irrelevant.
It is sad to realize that in fact, the whole era of mining is passing away.
What do you think?

Claymore come back with an update at the end of the year i think and you will see. And there are many other good ethash miner.

ETH will have both POS and POW.

1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining calculators wrong on: August 14, 2020, 09:25:28 AM
So I've been mining BTC for like 5 years now but have started GPU mining in the last few months and am a bit confused on mining calculators.
With BTC the calculators are always quite accurate.
But I mined ETC for 2 months and I made about 0.62 ETC/day and the calculators said I should be making 1.3ETC/day. So I switched to ETH and it says I will only make 0.01 ETC/day but I'm mining 0.025 ETC/day.
Why are calculators so accurate on some and sooooo wildly off on other coins?

You know that ETC has much problems the last weeks? And ETH reward goes up the last weeks because of higher block reward (more transactions per block). So all good i think. Next time, please give us more information (hashrate, gpu´s, miner, pool)

Driver Crimson 15.12 windows 8.1 64bits and swapfile ?

Windows Swap File increase it to 16GB or more.
Update Driver to 18.6.1 or something newer.
1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to Mine KAWPOW with AMD R9 390 on: August 13, 2020, 01:06:18 PM
With WildRIG/0.25.2 i get an "error CL_BUILD_PROGRAMM_FAILURE when calling cl BuildProgram"

Which GPU driver, what is your OS, how big is your swapfile.
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to Mine KAWPOW with AMD R9 390 on: August 13, 2020, 01:01:21 PM
Hello Guys,  please let me know if there is any way to mine KAWPOW algo with AMD R9 390.

It is like every other GPU? Is something special with R9 390? I don´t think so, so download miner, configurate it and start.

Or what is the problem?
1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: August 13, 2020, 11:03:02 AM
Hi Patrike,

SRBMULTIMINER 0.4.7 work not correct with Awesomeminer. AM write the Pool information in the config file, but if SRBMultiminer start with config file, it ignore every commandline argument. So if i set --disable-gpu in commandline it will not start because no suiteable gpu found or it will mine with all gpu´s. I must set "disable_gpu" : true in the config file on every rig.
Maybe it is better to start SRBMultiminer only with commandline or can you add a tab to configurate the config file like XMRig or Nanominer?
1129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I bought 30 grand usd worth of P106 and hosted them in China! on: August 12, 2020, 01:48:55 PM
Got paid 0.7776eth today, and 0.5589 eth yesterday,

I kept today's eth due to the drop

Sheet is not updated, I am on the trip to banff!

Got a 25' motorhome from cruisecanada, it is a totally different experience from in an suv!

https://cn.etherscan.com/address/101bC5811A3b24538b5Ffd3fec6691Dfa4f20D45

You hold all your ETH, why you write you sell it every day? Strange
1130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.1c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: August 12, 2020, 09:03:11 AM
Hi there!
Noticed that block revenue increased by 2-3 times since for last several hours(ETH). Now it's 4-6 ETH per block.
Could anybody explain why?

Thanks!

Many transactions in a block. 2 ETH Block reward and around 2.5 ETH TX Fee rewards.
1131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: T-Rex 0.15.7 NVIDIA GPU miner with web monitoring page and auto-updates on: August 12, 2020, 12:40:54 AM
Hello,
I'm getting this error:
"can't find nonce with device [ID=0, GPU=0], cuda exception in [ProgPOW::ProgPOW::initEpoch, 342], out of memory"

I've been told GTX 1060 3gb can no longe mine RVN, is that true?
I got trex0.15.8 version cuda 10.0

Can some1 help me?
I had seen same problem 25.07.20.All my twelve rig showed this error. Changes pool and miners(T-Rex 15.8,Kawpowminer,NBMiner) don't help.
Interestingly 6GB cards work normal , but need disable 3GB cards on rig.Nowhere information for this problem(pools, miner guide, forums, official social network and programs ravencoin).
There was such an impression as if I alone faced this problem. But yours post shows me that I'm not the only one.
It is clear that the problem lies in the lack of RAM, despite the fact that this volume should be enough until next summer.Or this is another CUDA error

Yeah it was around that day mine stopped working, I asked in trex's discord channel and some1 said the 3gb stopped working... now idk what to mine since I kinda like RVN and gotta waste time researching another coin to mine and it's probably not as good as mining RVN

PROGPOW IS BASED ON ETHEREUM ALGORITHM--

And so is KAWPoW.  Notice that in the remark within the error message "cuda exception in [ProgPOW::ProgPOW::initEpoch, 342], out of memory", it states that KAWPoW is hashing on a DAG from "epoch 342".  The algorithm was developed to use all aspects of a GPU's compute capabilities as well as the GPU memory.  It is a really stressful and ASIC resistant algorithm.  Your 3GB card has no room in memory for the DAG.       --scryptr

GTX 1060 6GB,Win 10 64-bit ,TT-miner 5.0.1.Output video in system Intel hd 610.MSI shows 89mb loading gp memory in idle and 2569mb  on miner(3072-2569=503mb).So we have 503mb free video memory and why GTX 1063 can not creating DAG file.In the error shown miner concerning lack of memory there is no point.in this situation I am surprised by the lack of any information. If you look 25 June (GMT+3)7:00 p.m from to 3:00 a.m
https://2miners.com/ru/rvn-network-hashrate we see drop in network power Ravencoin by about 20-25 percent respectively and Difficulty. Conclusion almost all or part 3gb card dropped. Two weeks no information. All this is a little disappointing.

On Nvidia Cards, Windows10 reserve much vram. So a GTX 1060 3GB has only around 2500 mb available. Only solution is to switch to Linux or other coin.
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I bought 30 grand usd worth of P106 and hosted them in China! on: August 11, 2020, 06:42:53 PM
Oh ok, i think we will see ETH at 1000 dollar in next month, but when 400 is enough LOL.
If you don´t need the money then hodl it.

And your reward for 6 Gh is to small.
My daily income on HiveOS pool with 600 Mh is 0,065 ETH and on Ethermine with 1 Gh i get  0.11 ETH. You with 6 Gh around 0.55 ETH?

you should mine zil as well extra earnings

Dual mining is back??? Lol Grin

Dual mining is back for long time, but in a different way  Cheesy and yes Zil+ETH is very profitable  Grin

1133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: August 11, 2020, 12:34:13 PM
Hi Patrike,

Question about GPU OC Group Profiles:

If i save a GPU OC Groupe, it will create a Group for the Rig and sorted the GPU profiles by GPU ID, but i think the better way is to sorted by PCI Bus ID, because if a GPU died, the order will be change.
So better way is to sorted it by PCI BUS, i know i can change it after saving, but i think this not comfortable. Maybe AM can ask us, when i save a GPU OC Group, what we want, sorted by GPU ID or sorted by PCI BUS ID.
1134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I bought 30 grand usd worth of P106 and hosted them in China! on: August 11, 2020, 08:30:26 AM
Got paid 0.5722 eth today, sold at 394, 5.74 profit per rig

Nothing much today,

sheet is updated.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LBD2zgDZxrdUkreOYUcwBqr75E0l_jdsqz4ZpTW6GNY/edit?usp=sharing

And thanks for all those supporting me. I cant say thanks to each one of commenting, because I am a newbie and I have to wait six minutes for each reply lmao

And I am also considering to use hedging product of some financial company...

Hedge at 400 until my break even period ends...

You sell your earnings every day? You need that money? I think holding the coins is much more profitable, because the eth price will go up in the next month.
1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I bought 30 grand usd worth of P106 and hosted them in China! on: August 08, 2020, 01:45:36 PM
If you don't mind me asking was the electricity fees the only factor you decided to host your mining rig in china or, was the price of mining hardware cheaper over there too?
The reasons are a few. The 8-card rig of p106 I got in china was 800 usd, Idk how much you can get in EU or NA, especially bulk, but you can definitely get bulk in China in days. My host got my rigs online in less a day after I made payment.

and elec is stable for the whole year as 0.057,

and they have a repaireing team nearby with 80% successfully repairing of the cards,

And mostly important is that I have been working with that farm so I don't need to worry about the trust issue, so...

You know that the P106 will slowdown every new DAG epoch? So your income will slowdown too. Keep this in your mind.

....
PM 5.1c? It can be a bug...
Card is 5700 XT?
1) yes. 2) 5700
in earlier versions, this "bug" also manifested itself
For me this bug never happend. I'm use miner already several years... Devfee always stops in time...

i use phönixminer since it started on 30 rigs and this bug never happened. Maybe you use a nodevfee program in background? than this can happen.

Hi Patrike,

please update miniZ miner to version 1.6v5, major improvements for all algos.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4767892.0

Feature request:

Is it possible to show the GPU memory manufacturer in GPU and GPU clocking tab and maybe the size of the GPU memory?

MAIN FEATURES:

  • rxboost tool that is licensed only for simplemining.net which increases mining speed by 1-5% on RX 400/500 series with almost no wattage increase

ah ok? But why much other Mining OS have this feature?
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4GB GPUs and DAG file load problem with Claymore on: August 02, 2020, 01:32:55 AM
HAHA i'm mining with windows and 4GB cards, and i give not up, because why? My Rigs running well.

After reading your description the fix for windows is -> use internal gpu as first gpu and you have no problems.

Wait until 370 epoch, you will change your mind.

Great thread, one thing is missing and is until what dag number #3xx will those people with 4gb mine eth on simplemining OS? 4GB is if I'm not mistaken exactly dag #384.

He mentions the 4gb cards die in dec or nov 2020 even on simple mining

My worst card is a 1050ti mining on kapow.

I have 2 or 3 1660's
I have 4 rx 5500's all 8gb got a good deal on them
I have 2 rx 5700's
I have 11 1080ti's
I have  2  1070's
I have 1   1080

well december eth 2.0 will launch anyways and mining will be dead right?

No if ETH 2.0 released, you still can mine it. It will have POW and POS at the same time, but i don´t think ETH 2.0 will be released before the middle of next year. The dev Team talk about it for several years and nothings happen. So this year no ETH 2.0 release!
1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4GB GPUs and DAG file load problem with Claymore and Ethereum on: August 02, 2020, 01:30:21 AM
I think that is one of the problem mining eth, the dag file, many of my gpu;s had the same problem and it was change the hashrate and reduce it, i also notice that in the long run the gpu will no longer available to flash into factory mod.

Absolutly wrong. You can flash an AMD card every time, also if something go wrong.

What problem you have with the DAG file?`
