I have been buying from localbitcoins.com but the price of the seller's are always higher than market , sometimes they are unbelievably high. Where shall i buy ?? what if there is a dip just like last week and i want to buy a load but then again it's no use to me , i will still get it at high i can buy with cash or bank deposit (TD,BMO) ,e-transfer , all in canada but the prices are just damn high. i think coinbase.com provides the btc at current price , am not sure please tell me , but it doesn't have it for India as of yet , but maybe for Canada i think. what about those ATM's in vancouver , Canada , never visited one . do they give the current price or something different. Any answers on these would be helpful Please let me know if i posted in wrong section. You're talking about India as well as Canada. Where are you based? In India, you can use Unocoin.com to wire transfer your money and buy Bitcoins at market price. For Canada I think Coinbase should work.

I see your point and sarcasm. And I am with you on this one. People keep talking about how Bitcoin prices have crashed to all-time lo and Bitcoin is doomed to fail, but it always finds a way to reach new heights like a Phoenix.

Using sgminer v5 to mine X11.
I used to mine X11 on AMD (it was a Sapphire HD 7950). Undervolt your card. Changing intensity or engine, memory specs can also be explored but in my experience I found undervolting the reliable method to control power consumption.

My plan has changed a little. I have already decided the 1st round trade altcoin, but right now the price is too high. Once it gets to my level, I will buy the bitcoins at any price and then trade the first round. I keep saying, don't worry about the actual situation, bitcoin will go to 10,000 in two or three years.
I hope you were able to get your first BTC below $220 level, where you had your original buy order placed. If not, I'd like to know your strategy moving forward; how do you think you're going to react to the price now? When are you buying?

My question to everyone who is holding, why aren't you buying more today? (besides being broke)
Keeping the fiat ready to buy BTC, but not buying yet because the price may still go down and I want cheaper coins than this.

I would like to resign from the campaign. Thank you for all you do That's a shame, it's been noted. I might consider switching back if you would allow payments to be made directly to a BTC address that I 100% control the private keys to. I don't like the idea of a third part controlling my money, not even for a few minutes Bit-X is paying the most generous amount for any signature campaign on this forum. All they're asking in return is a free account on their site - I don't think it is too much to ask for. Many other sig campaigns make you create an account on their site like casinos. And you can always withdraw the payment as soon as you get it. It's not like they're going to run away with it.

I am sure this question keeps bugging lot of folks like me. My guesses
1 SN (I will use SN because I don't know if it is a he/she or they) foresaw what we have seen happening with BTC (and copies/improvements) in the last seven years and didn't want to be known as the originator of such a course of events
2 SN was a government agent; which government should be easy to guess. After finishing the mandate such a person/group will obviously need to stay away from claiming it.
Thanks for your wise inputs.
Only he/she knows. EVeryone else is just assuming.

The title pretty much says it all, but to clarify, is there a faucet/giveaway that rewards with very little effort (Something like referrals are going to take a long time)?
If so, can you direct me to it? I'm still kind of new to the entire faucet/giveaway thing, and most of the sites seem shady to me.
Thanks.
Have a look at this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=919667.0there are only 2 types of Bitcoin faucets: 1. Bad Faucets 2. Worse Faucets
There are no good faucets. All faucets pay you just pennies for filling out CAPTCHAS. The amount of time you spend doing that is not worth it. Even if you do some laborious day job that pays you minimum wage, you will earn more in your real job than those faucets.

It is surprising to see NXT, NEM, XMR getting more votes than BTC.
Have people completely lost faith in Bitcoin?

Hello all , Why people are happy about the prices drop I ask a miner he said that he is happy too why ? his profile will drop also
A miner shouldn't be happy in this situatuion. He has to pay maintenance to keep the rigs functioning. The lower the BTC price, the harder it becomes to run a mining rig. If he was just someone who wanted to purchase BTC with fiat, I would understand that he is happy - cheap coins.

Are you still saving your bitcoins or you selling them?
Even if I bought my Bitcoins at much higher price, it doesn't make to sell them now. I would just make loss if I sell them now - confirmed. If I HODL, there is a slightest chance that the price would recover so that I do not make loss, or can even profit. Choice is clear - sell now to make confirmed loss or HODL for potential loss or profit.

For the OP, https://www.coinsetter.com is offering a $100 credit for 30 days to check out its trading platform. After 30 days they take the $100 back and you can keep any winnings. The site also indicates they will not charge you for any losses if you are in the red at the end of 30 days. I am not affiliated in any way and have no reference links, just a thought to get you going on the cheap. I am trying it and will comment that they currently have low volumes and the spread is at times $3-$4 between bid and ask, so its rough to make much unless you are hitting $20 swings. Thanks for pointing out; I'd like to try this as well. Will let you guys know about the experience.

No worry, we all start as a newbie. If you just want to send all your bitcoin to your Multibit wallet, you don't need import anything. You only need to import a private key, when you have an address created on another wallet and want to keep using that address. After you have set up your new Multibit wallet, don't forget to backup the files. https://multibit.org/en/help/v0.5/help_walletBackups.htmlTh latest version of Multibit has only the possibility to import private keys from other Multibit wallets. Import private keys from Blockchain or other wallets is no longer supported. You can, you just have to edit the .key file in notepad. Try exporting private keys from your MultiBit wallet as a .key file and then add as many private keys to it by editing it with notepad. This will then import in MultiBit. If you can edit it in notepad that means its stored in plain text? what the hell kind of security is that especially if you have a virus. It is upto you if you want to encrypt the key file while exporting. If you just want to store it somewhere, you must encrypt it. If you're using it to edit and import additional private keys, you should not encrypt it but delete after importing. It would be good if you just try it before crying over security issues.
