1201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you favor betting on spesific sport? on: April 22, 2023, 08:59:04 PM
I am just curious to know why people favor one Sport over another, when it comes to betting? Is there specific Sport that increase your win chance or do you bet on those Sport for other reasons?
You bet on what you know. As many people are watching football and also prefer it, there are more people that prefer football betting. As for me, I personally prefer football betting because I am more exposed to football and it is what we mostly talked and argue about.

It is what you know that you will bet on. People that know much about other sport also bet on it. If you know about tennis, you will find yourself betting on it too. So is basketball too and others.
Right. You know there are high chances to win if you bet on the game you really know and the game you have high background on it. Otherwise, when you bet randomly, it’s like you only bet to lose and nothing more. But if you think you know every game in sports betting, so there’s no need to bet in a single game specifically. You can just bet in all of them, rest assured that you have your favorite player or team in every game so you can make your best bet and with luck aside, you can win on what you bet.
1202  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Have you ever be afraid of holding? on: April 22, 2023, 08:41:21 PM
Is holding for too long OK?
in the past I have had bad experiences with holding altcoins. it started when i buy altcoin on exchange, i withdraw it in wallet. but i forgot about it. I accidentally held on too long. it has even gone through several pumps and finally a very sharp decline occurred. sizable loss.
from that experience, I see, if you want to hold for the long term it is better to choose Bitcoin. any altcoin is too risky for our investment. unless you are a person who always goes to the market every day.
Altcoins are certainly not for long term investments, so you need to hold them only for short term and then be ready to sell them before their prices decline. But some failed to sell so they end up losing. However, with bitcoin, it’s certainly good for long term investment, so the more years you tend to hold it, the higher the value it gets. Especially if you hold it until you forget that you have a portion of bitcoin in your portfolio, I guess that would bring very huge profits by then.
1203  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: April 21, 2023, 10:58:48 PM
In my opinion.

Everything you do, activity and other think on the casino are gambling. You're not gambling now, but there has some chance you are gonna to gambling soon in the future. The temptation are high, If you are stay on gambling sector.

So, I call it gambling. It's promotion, you get free money soon you're losing then are gonna triggered you to deposit.
For me, the only reason why you call it gambling is because you are gambling an amount that you may lose or win in the end. If there’s no money waiting as a reward, or any thing that has a value, I don’t think it can be considered gambling. Though we may say everything we do that is uncertain can be called gambling, but gambling in casinos is a different thing, it comes with rewards or losses in the end.
1204  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Essential one to new traders in Crypto currency on: April 21, 2023, 10:40:15 PM
You are right on some things maybe even more if you want. But all of that is based on the ideal of a suitable trader in crypto trading. Because some people who are carried away by ambition actually fall down with considerable losses. The reason is when you are able to control your mind in crypto trading, all other aspects will be easy to control too. Beginner traders come with the aim of getting instant profits because they are matched with experienced influencers, as a result many conclude negatively that crypto trading is like gambling.
But the problem with beginner traders are they are more on emotions than trusting their own minds. That’s why it’s easy for them to fall and believe into crypto influencers and literally follow their advices, rather than doing their hard work in researching so that they can come up with good personal analysis. And with greed motivating them, the reason why they instant trade and instantly lose their funds too.
1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: April 21, 2023, 09:58:43 PM
Gambling addict will not listen easily, they are drowning on their greed and they need proper assistance and medication, I'm talking about the worst case scenario of being addict in gambling. As much as possible, you have to help yourself if you are still in the early stage of addiction, it's not too late for you. These reminders are being posted here repeatedly and I'd hope that many are already aware about the possible risk of gambling and the threat of its addiction. If you can help someone who are into gambling, please do so because you can save his/her life by guiding them slowly but surely.
As long as gambling addicts continue to make profits from casinos, they will never realize that they have been drowned already in it. But when they start to incur losses, they will realize that too much gambling is really bad for them and may even ruin their bright future. But admitting to theirselves that they have been addicted to gambling might be hard for them, that’s why there should be family and friends that should support them so they can slowly get rid of gambling and stop gambling for good.
1206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of crypto influencers. on: April 21, 2023, 08:50:45 PM
The problem for now is that there are too many naive people who would find it very difficult to say they fell.
Precisely with the increasingly booming crypto conditions, as well as with the many naive people and beginners who enter, this will make them thrive even more, I think.

As long as those people choose the method that they think is the easiest thing to do without the need to study, then indeed the influencers will still be flooded with enthusiasts.
I guess that’s the reason why a lot of crypto influencers have risen right now seeing a lot of newbies are now trying to invest in crypto without even making some DYOR or preparation study before they invest. That’s why they can’t blame theirselves if they always lose in crypto because they enter the market the wrong way. And when these newbies start to lose and learn, then there’s another batch of naive newbies who will enter the market again,  thus retaining the demand of those unreliable crypto influencers.
1207  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Clients getting turned down by United Kingdom Banks | PM on other quest on: April 20, 2023, 10:49:58 PM
Reading this, I just remembered that banks ban and freeze accounts if they know that it involves crypto, like trading or investing. That is why, when my friends apply for a bank, they wouldn't say that it involves crypto, but they can still check it. If the coming money is huge, that is the time they will ask for proof of income, at which point they will freeze your account.
I guess that is not only happening in UK but certainly in all countries that are not crypto friendly. So when you admit that you are involved in crypto and that huge funds are entering your account, your account will be automatically freeze or closed. That’s why some crypto investors prefer to be anonymous, and just hide the source of their funds so that the banks will no longer question and suspect them. And much better if you separate your funds, and deposit into different banks.
1208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you agree with ChatGPT on the club that might win the premier League? on: April 20, 2023, 09:55:15 PM
If I'm not mistaken, the AI is a bit stupid in this case and anything that has anything to do with anything after the end of 2021, because it has data that only goes back to that period. At the moment when the AI is "online" in the sense that it has all possible data, then it will probably be able to give much more accurate and precise answers.

This could be a problem for bookmakers, because players will have a very good tool for analyzing matches, and thus a greater chance of winning.
Maybe because the app lacks updates that need to be fed on the system, otherwise players who seek for advice may not get the best and lose their bets eventually. This is the reason why using ChatGPT is not completely reliable, at least we should focus on our own analysis because our human minds are more capable to analyze compared to this chatbot that only tells what has been fed to it. But maybe in the future, ChatGPT will able to give us precise details for betting.
1209  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FIVE TIPS EVERY BEGINNER SHOULD KNOW BEFORE INVESTING IN BITCOIN. on: April 20, 2023, 09:35:28 PM
The fact that the same topic is being repeated is not a bad thing; it provides important information that newbies should be aware of, and new people join the forum almost every week. The big surprise is that the topic was started by a newbie who joined the forum recently to teach other newbies about bitcoin. That should be the sole reason the post is being called into question.
Maybe the OP just wants to give their opinion on advice/tips that he knows or maybe the OP is more experienced so he knows how to travel at the beginning as a beginner so he can control it well, we don't know how knowledgeable OP is in investing in bitcoin while for those who just joined here they are still considered beginners and when he starts posting the discussion is often repeated then of course we are like he is giving lectures here, this is not a problem maybe in the future he can do more research on the forum especially if you want to discuss a topic then you have to look for it first this topic already exists or not.
However, one thing is certain, OP has given good points to consider when investing for crypto with newbies. Though this topic has been repeated a lot of times, but still we are learning from it. So there’s no problem with OP, he just want his pro newbies to be more aware when it comes to crypto investing. After all, the decision still relies on the newbie itself whether he’ll follow or not the suggestions or advices from pro crypto investors.
1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much these features weigh most when you choose your favorite casino? on: April 17, 2023, 06:34:48 PM
Whenever a gambler is on a look for new casinos to tryout, they do have a list of preference that would love casinos they will use to meet up with, the common ones many of us take cognisance of is to see that we have no challenges regarding our withdrawal ability, since many gamblers complained that they make deposit easily but couldn't enjoy withdrawal service which i know it's a common issue associated with KYC or other suspicious activities regarding a gambler.
If they won’t abide with the rules and refuse to submit KYC because of their personal reasons, then they will never enjoy profits withdrawal, instead they will be a target as a source of fraudulence activities. Sometimes, the ToS of the casino has something to do with this. If gamblers neglect reading those before playing, then will surely have a hard time especially when it comes to withdrawal.
1211  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: April 17, 2023, 05:55:50 PM

I can't see how you can decide which horse to bet on. Are you able to see the features of these competing AI horses?
It could be rigged all the time much like the phony race of Yobit. You can't complain about what is unfair to this kind of game. That's how it sounds and the house typically could just program which will win, all you can do is wait for the pattern and when it is your turn to win.

It's in meta though so are we the ones riding as the jockey?
Well, most likely that the game will be rigged since everything is controlled before the race has started. And even if you see that particular horse has a lot of potentials to win, you can never guarantee that it will be declare as the winner. Probably the outcome of the game has already been set, regardless of how those horses perform at the middle of the race. That’s why AI gambling seems not valid and not worth my bet.
1212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 17, 2023, 05:28:24 PM
He needs to secure this win if he really wanted to create his name in this new division, losing a fight to unknown fighter
will put his career in danger. I mean, if he will lose, then interest from big promoters will be lessened or possibly be forgotten.

Unlike if he will win and take this fight in a much easier as how fans expected him,
the chance of bringing him to a contender for a title holder is possible.

We don't know what might happen after this, but it's really important that Casimero will win every single fight that being scheduled for him.

I got your point mate that for Casimero to fight for a championship, he needs to win all his fights before that and the good thing about his promoter right now is not forcing the issue, and seems to me that they are carefully selecting opponents to fight their ward and even though with that scenario, Casimero himself is not complaining since he earns substantial amount enough to have a not so lavish lifestyle.

Nothing has leaked so far as who will be next opponent of Quadro Alas but one thing is sure that it would not be Inoue.

Well, I guess no worries for this upcoming fight since it’s already anticipated that Casimero will eventually beat his opponent inside the ring, but he should still prepare a massive training before the game so that he will surely win over his opponent. One thing is certain, if Casimero will win this match, the big promoters will certainly be eyeing for him for another impressive match, and hopefully it’s someone that is known and is equal to his potentials the next time he will be fighting.
1213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting vs fantasy sports on: April 17, 2023, 09:10:04 AM
The newer generation probably can relate to that fantasy sports, they are likely the ones playing NBA games on PlayStation. It's not a real sport but definitely, someone with a good analysis in picking which athlete to put in a team has good skills.

The real sports where people buy a ticket are the real thing. It's something that people talk about online and are on the news.
Well, probably these gamblers in this current generation can more relate to fantasy sports as these games are often played in the internet and are played by imaginary participants. So it’s still gambling but I think I have higher urge to gamble with these real sports betting games. Maybe because I am used in betting traditional games that’s why these new set of fantasy games don’t really excite me that much.
1214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: April 17, 2023, 08:10:50 AM
What if, I get a chance to participate in a lottery without any investment?
If any gambling site offers, free of cost entry in the lottery, i would definitely not miss that one. Smiley
For a giveaway, yes, but don't expect its common coz its not. Check games and rounds boards for that. About free lottery in gambling casino? It's not common that you can entry without betting money, maybe a they give you a bonus but you need to deposit first so its not free.
Well, there’s no free betting in gambling actually, all comes with a good price. But if it’s a bonus or a give-away, then surely I would also grab for that. But the thing is, lottery is certainly a game of luck so never expect for an easy win. Only the luckiest one will only be given the chance to win the jackpot prize, but in most scenarios, it’s seldom to hit the jackpot prize as majority of the gamblers end up losing their bets.
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About football betting on: April 16, 2023, 09:42:47 PM
There's a house edge that you don't know inside sports betting.

In short if there are 10 gamblers bet each $100 in a match, the casino has $1,000 as the pool, but odds designed they will only pay $950, the another $50 are their profit. The odds will not be 2.00x and 2.00x, but it's always 1.95x and 1.95x, as simple as that.
So whether it’s a win or loss for the players, the casino will always have its commission that’s why its profits are certain. Not just in pure luck based games, but even in sportsbetting, the casino will still make profits regardless it’s a win or loss. And this makes casinos more profitable than any kind of business. Not just in football, but certainly in all kinds of sports betting games.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 16, 2023, 09:15:26 PM
Hi there guys,

Since I've seen what happened to Coinplay, my question was: Why we should play with minor gambling platform, and not use only gambling platform like Stake, CloudBet, fortunejack ecc. which ensure us good games, 100%

of safety in terms of withdrawal and provably fair (about games)? This question is also for the owners of gambling platform, maybe they can help to reply it.

Maybe this question come out because we are at the time when we have so many popular and trusted casinos already.
How if we are at the time when all casinos are still new? all the sites you mentioned above were minor gambling platform as well at the beginning.
Playing on minor/new gambling site is fine as long as we know how to choose which one looks good enough.
Coming up to the chance of something bad (scam or something else), it may happened also in major/old reputable casinos.
Do you remember the history of Safedice? It was a great reputable site but they were gone badly.

I guess there’s no big deal actually if we chose to play on minor gambling platform, as long as their good and reliable enough, then we could play in there comfortably. But somehow, most of the gamblers now prefer to chose in big platforms because they certainly believe that big and known platforms are more reputable and have less chances of rigged games and scamming. When in fact, all casino whether small or big, popular or not, are still prone to gambling scamming and eventually gone easily in the market.
1217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How did you get familiar with threads? on: April 16, 2023, 08:47:51 PM
Most at times I get confuse and stuck when I see some post with strange or unfamiliar threads but at the same time I will see a lot of people arguing the threads and comments. I don't know how wide is crypto currency with exclusive terminologies like nodes, cores, NFt etc. At some point I wonder what I can do to mingle deeply in the discussion and contributions of this hard terms but one can not said something where you have no ideas. That's why I want to know how you get much familiar with all bitcoin technologies? What should I do?

It's really hard in the beginning to grasp everything at one sitting, so my advise will be, just take it easy.

1. if you encounter terms that you are not familiar then Google is your friend. Try to find out the meaning of that word
2. read everything first before you post or answer
3. just go around and play around the forum to familiarized your self
Explore the forum first and read everything as much as you can. That will really help you a lot to be familiarized with cryptocurrency and how its market works. And when you encounter words that confused you, then do your due diligence to DYOR. Research is the only answer for that. After all, everything is laid down on the internet for free, you just have to spend most of your time studying and researching if you want to achieve maximum crypto learning.
1218  Economy / Gambling / Re: A way to attract new users or a misunderstanding? on: April 16, 2023, 08:17:27 PM
But I agree with you that there are lots who just uses the name for free marketing. There are currently not as many Web 3.0 casinos available compared to traditional online casinos. By faking their marketing Web 3.0 casinos, traditional online casinos are just trying to attract users who are interested in the Web 3.0 casino features, even if their platform doesn't actually offer them.
Many new casinos use web 3.0 casino in their last name and slogan to attract the interest of new users, they just modify the user interface to look like web 3.0 but don't actually use the algorithms from web 3.0, it's all marketing strategy related. Currently many top casino platforms have not yet switched to web 3.0 so don't trust new casinos with the implementation of web 3.0 that it offers to new users, top casinos must have reviewed web 3.0 usage and the team has designed a development planning table for web simulation using web 3.0.
While a lot of us would be more attracted with web 3.0 gambling features, but the reality is majority of the top casinos have not reached that far and are still following the current generation of the web. So if we can see casinos advertised as having Web 3.0 features, don’t be deceived easily as it’s only a part of marketing strategy to attract more players to play in their casino site. But eventually, all casinos are really heading there, though it’s still uncertain as to when they will get there.
1219  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How true is this statement? on: April 15, 2023, 11:00:26 PM
How true is this statement? I thought bitcoin wallet is best for storing long term investment, since no physical companies are to be trusted 100%, people uses bitcoin wallet to established good investment plans but seeing lead to ask questions of why and how true, which means no where is safe for life investment.
Yes provided you only store bitcoin with that since its only supported bitcoin and not other tokens and coins. It is also safe if you protect it from possible danger or hack. Cause even some might get compromise if not secured properly or been affected by virus.
There’s no 100% safe and secured investment. The reason why we have to chose the right investment and keep it secured all the time by being responsible on the safety of our own account. Otherwise, if you only store bitcoin without proper security, and not taking any action to avoid being scammed, you will eventually lost all your bitcoin without your awareness.
1220  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't invest money you can't afford to lose out of greed. on: April 15, 2023, 10:45:04 PM
In order to truly invest safely in crypto and relax, one should purchase bitcoin. Altcoin investment these days is no longer safe and secure. A popular altcoin may be scammed or compromised by hackers. Just yesterday, hackers broke into Sushi Swap, stealing around $3 million.
Sushi Swap hack info
I've been feeling horrible ever since I heard the news because no one can predict which other altcoins may be compromised by hackers tomorrow. It's a pity that crypto has now become a place, hackers can hack into and siphon people's money
That’s the reason why we should be more responsible for the security of our own account. Scamming has been rampant but we can avoid it as much as possible if we take precautionary measures on how to protect our account, and by not chosing altcoins for our investment, it will save us from these greedy scammers. And for us to be more safe, invest only what you can afford to lose, and stick to bitcoin and stay away from unestablished altcoins.
