1261  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Telegram channel for tracking the instant price of BTC on: August 07, 2020, 01:34:09 PM
Nice project mate.

For me, I still prefer coindesk for checking the BTC price, there's also a CMC app in smartphones where you can check the price of BTC in real-time.
My telegram is muted, I disabled the notifications because I'm part of a lot of community not just only about cryptocurrency but in other things too so I wouldn't be notified on that channel.

But I guess for some that use telegram daily, this channel you made will be very useful to them.
1262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fortnite Betting? on: August 07, 2020, 01:18:08 PM
I like fortnite and it's a good game with good graphics. Since we're talking about bets, it's kinda hard to bet on which player who'll win in the game. Bettings on battle royale isn't effective, even the best player have the possibility to die at start if he don't have good loots. The chances of winning is very low since there are many players each game and it's not easy to be confident on someone you'll a bet on.

That's the challenge, that's why it is called a battle royal game because you need to survive and become the number 1 among other players. Fornite is a good game and putting it in an Esports betting game is probably effective and good. This game is very balance and no matter how good you are, if you die, you die. It is about aiming and I know that there are people who already played this game and get addicted to it.

But in reality, I'm not a fan of this Fortnite but I tried playing this.

Honestly, I'm an FPS fan and I play CS:GO which is already in an Esports betting sites.

Fortnite has a lot of potential to become the same with CS:GO when it comes to Esports Olympic.
Well, that kind of challenge isn't attractable to gamblers because it's difficult to bet on a game where there are many players. That's why battle royale games doesn't even pop up on popular gambling sites because it will just make the bettings very complex unlike CS:GO, a team vs team, red vs blue, not hard to choose where to bet.

That's why competitive match with fast-phase FPS game will be more amusing to gamblers like CS:GO & Valorant.
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: August 07, 2020, 01:00:19 PM
~snip~

I have heard the saying many times: "beginners are always lucky to win". However, I am not sure that this saying shows the reality. It is most likely invented by the casinos themselves. As for the opportunities to repeat the victory, I am sure that many of the experienced players will not be able to constantly repeat the victory in the same gambling game.

No, that is right. Sometimes the beginners will have more luckiest than the other old gamblers because I think that can be a treatment for them to back to the gambling games. The beginners will think that they can win the games easily than their friends, and that can lead them to play longer without thinking that luck will not always stay with them. The opportunity to win will not come to that person over and over because the luck itself will come to another person who deserves to have the luck.
Beginners don't expect huge winnings at the start that's why sometimes you thought they're lucky but in a game, it's balanced. There's no such thing where beginners always win a lot than old gamblers, it's just our mind because we always thought of winning every game when we already aged on gambling.  The opportunity comes to a person when he has luck, even if he or she doesn't deserve those, he will win with luck. Luck is also RNG or random, you aren't always lucky so be careful if you get wins.
1264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Gambling idea - How it can be "patented"? on: August 07, 2020, 12:16:37 PM
The idea isn't being patented but a new game with rules and anything else will be patented.
Also, your new invention should be unique and doesn't have any huge similar to the existing games.

I made a topic about Bitcoin patent and it also talks about Intellectual property, you might read this to understand more about the patent.

Learn about Patent and Intellectual Property. (Bitcoin)
1265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vietnam bursts an illegal casino who used to handle bets worth $3 billions on: August 07, 2020, 11:52:25 AM
I think that is really happening in the country, which is ban gambling, and I think the owner of the casino can paying the corrupt police or people from the government, so they can free to run their business without worry. In many countries, there will be people who will corrupt and help the business illegal, but the government is trying to clean up that thing in every department to catch that corrupt person. So we might see that in the news or television, some people being caught by the police because they are corrupt.
Corruption is the reason for each and every mistake that's been happening with management. When there happens mismanagement automatically the system will collapse. Same is with the gambling business. The corrupt officials without following regulations support it, finally they run away with poor peoples money. In my country gambling networks function from warehouses.

Indeed. Corruption happens in many countries, and it's not just happening in the government, but it's also happening in any aspect of jobs. So it is not surprising if we see some corrupt officials from the government have back up for the gambling places, so the law can not touch those places. But I am sure that in the end, they can not always break the law, and there will be some honest officials who would chase them, and arrest them because of their fault.

The reason why illegal gambling flourish is they don't pay the taxes. When casinos don't pay taxes and don't have to follow the guidelines, it would generate more profit and mostly provide better returns to gamblers. Many of the countries have strict gambling regulations and they take a good chunk of profit as taxes.
That's true, there's a lot of POGOs around here in our country run by Chinese and they're not paying taxes. If those gambling establishments here are paying taxes then maybe we already paid our debts to international banks. The government is good at closing establishments who have a good purpose and having a public service but a POGO can't even stop operating here. Illegal gambling businesses always has cases like money laundering and problematic gambling so I hope they prohibit it.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You have to prove that you can take the loss on: August 07, 2020, 11:10:09 AM
I don't have to prove anything but I can take any losses that I'm aware of gambling with.

There are countries already that have regulated online gambling and some decided to ban and won't operate through it. I think the reason for others to prohibit it so the land-based casinos won't have any competition.

But if they allow so, they might be looking into crypto casinos too.
Casinos should be the one to regulate about gamblers losses but unfortunately, there is such a thing as privacy concern and protecting data of their customers, it's like a bank where they need to protect their clients because these casinos rely heavily on their high rollers and high rollers do not want to public what they spend in gambling.

With this kind of proposal, the casino needs to reveals that information once the government ask them.
Though I do agree that it should be the house that supposedly handled this case and start providing such treatments to avoid heavily addictions.
But again it should be a confidential thing, the house, or even the government shouldn't get that information without the gambler's approval. We already know what's the effect and the cause of the addiction and it destroys the person's life. I agree that some want to hide their money spent on the gamblings and addictions shouldn't be the conclusion when someone is continuously losing because sometimes having fun is their only purpose and money isn't their problem.
1267  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: FreeBitcoin Bot - What do you think about this tool?? on: August 07, 2020, 10:33:19 AM
-
Please watch the videos to see how it works. You can even try it for free to get your own conclusions...
Yeah, good feature and the auto claim is really a cool thing, it will make our life easier since we don't need to manually collect it every hour. The lottery ticket is really a big thing, and even it's a low chance, we can still win money on it so it's good to use but my only concern about this if it will be safe to use.

Also, I guess some of the features is contrary to the terms and conditions of freebitco.in.

This bot is safe. It's a Java program that uses selenium to play with freebitcoin site as a normal user. It's not a script or a hack that changes anything in the page. No scam.

Also, it doesn't do anything illegal... it just uses the page like a real user.
Well, as long as it's not a script or bypass freebitco.in, it's safe but it is still not guaranteed as a safe bot until many users have proven it.
This is no better than just using a random script you find online on Seuntjie Dicebot. Using the auto claim feature is not worth getting my account banned so you can get a few extra sats for having me as a referral.
Extra sats from a referral isn't enough and we are not having daily referrals like daily freerolls in freebitco.in to get bitcoins. I still prefer claiming that BTC on freerolls than relying on referrals which is kinda hard to find someone who's interested on it.
1268  Economy / Economics / Re: Is cryptocurrency help to expand the world business? on: August 06, 2020, 11:59:49 PM
Now a days business and product is for all. Every country exchange their core product with other countries to meet theit demand. What you think Is cryptocurrency help to expand the world business?
In terms of transactions and convenience it certainly helps in buying and selling goods, to expand it is a different concept. Cryptocurrency is a currency that is still not official, if large-scale businesses use it it will be a good trend of interest for people, there is no business progress in my opinion. Business development is a concept that must be developed by the owner, not because of the currency used.
There are business nowadays who depends on the currency used especially if the digital currency has a lot of features and really useful so I think both will be better. Cryptocurrency will surely be a great help and will open a lot of opportunities for the people to open their business. Cryptocurrency is very complex and has a lot of features that can be used in different things, it will surely bring a lot of changes in our society if implemented and that will grow and expand the world business.
1269  Economy / Economics / Re: In the pandemic economy, tech companies are raking it in on: August 06, 2020, 11:52:33 PM
Obviously, tech-related companies are raking it because they're working digitally especially those IT company that only needs programming. All of those tech-related jobs are benefiting a lot because their service didn't stop, they still do their job and the only difference is they're working at home, the productive rate didn't change at all.

Gaming companies are also making a lot of money, even there's a pandemic, a recent PS4 exclusive hit a lot of sales because people are staying and playing at home.
1270  Economy / Economics / Re: What should you learn so you never get affected by a economic crises ? on: August 06, 2020, 11:43:52 PM
We are all affected by the economic crisis and there's no exception to it. But if you're talking specifically about jobs, then maybe finding alternative jobs like online work should work. So you should learn your abilities to be more flexible in other works even it's online or not.
The reason why we have this new technology, AI, robots, or whatever it is just too simplified human workloads, not to make us human beings become obsolete and no used at all.
Agree, things are getting complicated right now and it requires a lot of understanding and calculations so, with the use of Artificial intelligence, it minimizes all of it. Actually, the one who created the AI is smarter than it, it's not that easy to implement machine or deep learning. I tried it on our project study using machine learning, a lot of training happened and codings, it's not that easy and it requires a lot of brainpower to build one.
1271  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: August 06, 2020, 11:32:20 PM
Of course, it will be a huge opportunity for the people and it might use them for economic advances. It might become a threat to us if they use it for their personal desires, especially if those who're in the position is full of corrupt people. Imagine that they're implementing digital currencies, there will be a lot of job opening that is cryptocurrency related, and it will give a good impression to the people who aren't familiar in digital money. Unlike today, people thought that cryptocurency is a scam because they don't have any single idea about it and scammers are taking it as an advantage.
1272  Economy / Economics / Re: The Covid19 Curve is Flattening on: August 06, 2020, 11:23:52 PM
Even though there is a surge in the spread of the covid19 virus again, I think some companies and some tourist attractions and even the sports industry will no longer be closed and or suspended, so that no more lockdown system will be implemented because they will also prioritize economic improvement so it is not surprising when many protocols are set up to support the new normal era. At least that is a reflection of what is happening in my country, because this economy must be restored in any way sooner or later.
In our country the situation is getting worse, the infected each day are increasing big time compared to before. Its because of lack of discipline, many stubborn citizens are not cooperating and cant stay at home, didnt wear face mask and no social distancing. If there's no vaccine were made then I think the situation wont change. Currently we are put to lockdown again to control the infected of virus, the government is hoping it can flatten the curve.
I agree that the situation is getting worse and they can't handle the increase of the COVID-19 cases per day. But I don't think that it's good to blame those citizens because they're the victim on this. How can we say that they're aren't really following the protocols if there are fines for disobeying it. Citizens are the one who's affected a lot and those who're in the position can't even feel the suffering of the people. So the statements of other people are true, lifting ECQ to GCQ without proper plan is an action of the government to have a reason for being incompetent.
1273  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin good for the economy? on: August 06, 2020, 10:06:27 PM
Bitcoins have three useful qualities in a currency, according to The Economist in January 2015: they are "hard to earn, limited in supply and easy to verify". Economists define money as a store of value, a medium of exchange and a unit of account, and agree that bitcoin has some way to go to meet all these criteria.
Actually ,it just easy to earn bitcoin if you have money to buy it. And if you have money try to join campaign that promoting different projects and pay you with their tokens then exchange it to bitcoin. Very easy. Bitcoin is good for economy if it will just mix to a fiat money because they have different value and features. You know government is very allergic in Decentralized currency ,so it's difficult for them to accept bitcoin as part of the economy.
Well, agree that it's easy to get bitcoin right now. You just need to wait for the right timing and buy a lot of bitcoon at low price. Bitcoin isn't that hard to earn nowadays and you can see a lot of platforms that gives free BTC. Bitcoin is surely have good effect on the economy since people are getting profit into it through investments.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 06, 2020, 04:25:54 PM
Did you hear about shroud? King of the Reddit who's good at FPS games? There are many rumors that he's one of the lineups of C9 in Valorant.
<...>
yeah i saw that the other day. If it's true, then every C9 match, and any tourney they're competiting on in the future, are guaranteed to have at least 100k viewers, and a high viewership numbers means more sponsors = more money to everyone involved (Riot Games, C9, tournaments, sportsbooks)...pretty amazing what a single streamer guy can do  Roll Eyes

but here's an article from Forbes explaining Why Shroud Will Not Become A Full Time ‘Valorant’ Pro
Forbe's article is just an opinion of them, I read it and it states that it's because of the salary wasn't high. Their basis isn't that accurate, how can they knew the pros' monthly, that's a confidential thing and it's very impossible to know. They also compare the monthly of $25,000 to shroud's monthly on streaming at mixer, and we knew that mixer already shut down their streaming platform. So I guess that this is one of the reasons why shroud is going back again in Valorant. The article also stated that the Valorant's championship prize isn't that high like TI's pot money to live for the rest of your life, which is another inaccurate basis because there is still no report on how much is the championship prize.

The highest that I've seen is $200,000 which is a tournament for the opening of the game, what more in the championship? As you can see in LoL's Worlds championship prize, it already reaches $2m, I think Riot games will do the same thing by making a lot of negotiations and sponsors. And besides, their mother company is Tencent games, they can easily make huge pot money.
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 06, 2020, 03:28:27 PM
<...> The important thing is, popular teams are already playing it and it's mainstream in different platforms.
Yeah, the top esports team know that there's potential in Valorant, it's just a matter of time now cuz you don't wanna end up like Apex Legends (showed some promise for a while but ended up being forgotten  Cheesy ) some major tournaments are starting to pop up (liquipedia has a few in A-tier here), so it's possible that in Q4 this year or Q1 next year we'll see the first S-tier tournament
Well, Apex Legends is kinda different from Valorant, it's a battle royale and all FPS players are still interested in the CS:GO type of match even it got launched and mainstreamed. I used to play Apex legends for 3 seasons, and obviously battle royale aren't suitable in betting platforms because it's hard to know who's gonna win if the drops on a certain area are RNG. Definitely, a good team will still lose if they have a fight with a gold armor team while wearing white armor. Anyways, many people are already thinking that Valorant is almost the same with CS:GO, I doubt it will have the same future with Apex Legends and besides, they have different game developers and I know that Riot Games will spend millions of money to make the game last longer as they did on the league.

Another thing is that Valorant is still a new game and one of the best way to keep your game for a long time is having a bind with the community. As CSGO have ways to tell what they want like making maps, Valorant don't have that. Well, Valorant in their first release have their bonds too but some players are worrying how the maps are so claustrophobic and not that well-made.

As I said, it is still a new game so obviously there will be a lot of development that will happen through time. Still, I don't see CSGO going down because of Valorant.
As I'm saying, it has a solid community right now and it doesn't need to wait for it to be popular because it is currently popular. The fact that ex-pro CSGO players are shifting into Valorant, the game is good and it will definitely build a good community because they have fans, and popular teams on the pro scene are also making teams at Valorant which definitely has massive supporters. I don't think that maps are so claustrophobic, i played it many times and already played competitive, it's easy to adapt to the environment 'cause I'm a real player of online games.  I didn't even mention that CS:GO will have downfall just because of Valorant, as a gamer, I still see them as a different game and there are plenty of people who still prefer CS:GO. What I'm pointing about is, Valorant has already those requirements.

Did you hear about shroud? King of the Reddit who's good at FPS games? There are many rumors that he's one of the lineups of C9 in Valorant. I hope there are no more excuses about having a good community 'cause if they're really fans of eSports, they know how influensive shroud is. And besides, there are many famous CS:GO players out there on the Valorant pro scene. Even it's just a rumor or lets assumes that it's not true, the community of Valorant was really huge right now so I don't get it why the game needs support, did they knew the capabilities and power of Riot Games, oh c'mon.
1276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter Hacker Arrested! on: July 31, 2020, 11:25:21 PM
Damn dude.

This kid is going to get one hefty sentence.
I will not be surprised if he is going to be working under serious guide to unlock some other applications. The guy brain is too hot to be wasted just like that.

I feel pity on him if he will only end his life in jail. I hope they can work around here and just hire him for other vital projects. He's too young to just spend his entire life in prison. He can still change and do something different for his life. Let's see what will be the verdict on him and his accessories.
Definitely the government or huge companies will hire him for what he has done. Yeah, he is too young but he have done something that isn't should be done by a 17 years old so he should face those consequences. They filed a lot of cases to him because he targeted strong and high-profile persons' accounts.
I was reading the news and I was wondering why a 17 year old can be charged in a case like this even if he is a minor and article in Verge clarified that the law in Florida allows to be charged and possible get prison sentence even if you are a minor on financial fraud cases. I think this minor isn't really an ordinary person since he can do what he did but the wrong thing he done is assume that he can get away with this just for being a minor. Plus finding accomplices with him over the age of 18 just only make him look like he really planned the hack. But since this is just the early stages on the discoveries I doubt we have seen everything and there might really be a real mastermind here controlling these kids.
Absolutely, no one could possibly learn how to hack accounts by just browsing on the internet or watching videos, It is a group of hackers and he learned from it. But some hacker groups wouldn't do such things like this and I bet that white hackers are already looking some of them.

1278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need bitcoin? on: July 31, 2020, 10:53:54 PM
A lot of governments are opposing bitcoin from very long time, maybe due to the anonymous nature of the network, but now a days a lot of countries are legalising and adapting to the bitcoin demand in their country and legalising it. The opposing governments are actually missing a lot and they are not promoting development into the future by rejecting block-chain, the same happened in India also but the people and the block-chain related companies filed a case in the court which ultimately lead to the removal of ban and now India is also one of those countries where bitcoin is legal. Bitcoin is really necessary in those countries where a lot of censorship is there and people are oppressed.
The government just really want the safety of all the consumers of bitcoin or its community. Simply there are complain among users wherein bitcoin was tag or being used as a medium for scamming. Abuses is rampant and many were falling even the old tricks of scamming. Bitcoin also could not be integrated to government system because it is completely opposite to the government system being the decentralized system.
Bitcoin related scams are just a small part of the scamming industry and still government think that bitcoin is the only thing that the scammers want. A lot of people do carding and stuff but no one is banning the credit cards from being used. As you said that bitcoin can't be controlled by the government and this is the only reason why government isn't accepting bitcoin as an investment or a payment method or legalising it. This is the loss of its citizens only when the government is banning cryptocurrencies as it is creating a lot of jobs around the globe and the future of the financial systems will also be built on blockchain only, so why not legalise it now rather than doing it later.
If the government acknowledged the use of it, people will be aware of its capabilities and it will be easy to differentiate a scam platform that uses crypto. This is one of the reasons why some people don't trust bitcoin because of those ponzi who uses it on their platform and just scamming people. They should know about it and how does the market of crypto works, I believe it's important to avoid wrong perspective on it.

The use of cryptocurrency is creating as a lot of opportunity and that can be used to develop our country. They should think about the positive side of it, and they should admit that it can help the economy growth.
1279  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: July 31, 2020, 10:40:19 PM
It's nearly impossible for one to live without the bank, but I believe one can do without it, for example in the rural areas/villages 99% of them don't even own a bank account, nor are there any bank building around them, but they go on with their daily lives buying /exchange goods and services, also even in the third tier countries where the employers don't pay thier employees through the bank rather they hand cash to the employees at the end of the month.
Yes, that's what I'm pointing out on this thread and it still exists. There's no right answer into this because it's a preference, some aren't using banks because they're living in rural areas and don't have a huge monthly salary so there's no point in saving it in the bank. While the other, they save it on the bank because they are plenty of it, and we know that it's safe there. But other companies are requiring their employees to use banks for faster transaction.
1280  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: July 31, 2020, 10:21:37 PM
I also see no reason to use bitcoin, as it has too many disadvantages compared to altcoins. If I need to make a transaction, I always use Ethereum, it suits me completely

I cant deny those facts but if you arent interested in Bitcoin then why you're here?  Cheesy We do have our preference though but we cant really deny the fact that when it comes to community support
then its clear as water that Bitcoin is much better overall. It wont be on top spot for 11 years if it doesnt perform that much.Yeah there are flaws but it would only pop out on certain circumstances.
Transaction fees and confirmation wise then we can say that alts do have it but i do still love to make use of my btc in most of transactions.
Yeah, the fact that those leading altcoins right now are just came from the original which is bitcoin, we can't say that there's no good reason to use it. Even if you see that using altcoins is more essential and has more features, you will not think that bitcoin is not very useful. Bitcoin is the foundation of all cryptocurrency that exists right now and admit it that changes happening on altcoins is due to bitcoin's changes. Bitcoin is still outperforming altcoins and we are witnesses of its multiple gains on the market.
