I have no clue what your point is.

Since Putin banished USA invaders out of Russia, our life have improved considerably. Sanctions don't work because Russia is the biggest and richest country in the world.
What are you talking about? What invaders were those that Putler banished? Blacklisting citizens that don't want anything to do with Russia doesn't really count Cheesy.
Maybe you mean the companies that left Russia because Russia got sanctioned? Did Putin take credit from that? He had zero to do with that.

And yeah, your country is rich and would be doing just fine without one of the most corrupted leadership in the world.
By the way are you going to investigate companies that make your windows and balconies because they seem to be death traps Tongue.

Most firms and international franchises left Russia, nothing was "banned" or "banished". The RF GDP is shrinking more than the rest of the world, millions of qualified people had fled the country and the population of the RF has been shrinking for decades. You are confusing land mass and mineral resource with richness. The RF is underdeveloped compared to any country in Europe and is going to get worse.
1282  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russophobia as a phenomenon on: March 09, 2023, 09:31:56 PM
I think we must fight against Russophobia because it not different than fascism. Why would people treat the Russians differently? They have eyes, noses and mouths like every other human being.

I am very saddened how these innocent Russians being treated in Europe. Is it a crime to be born Russian?

Europe should get its shit together and end their fascism against the Russians once and for all.

I have Russian friends, Georgian friends and Ukrainian friends. The "Russophobia" does not exist, is an invention of the Kremlin propagandists to justify their un-justifiable aggression. The world is not against Russians, it is against an illegal war waged by the current government and military ranks of the Russian Federation.

In war times, the enemy is the enemy and it is unclear who can potentially be a spy, so actors and others may of course be banned.

RE fascism and Europe, poverty attracts simple and wrong solutions to complex problems. Fascism is a simple and wrong solution that comes when people are disappointed with democracy.

Pretty much this.

I do not see any Russians being attacked or harassed en masse anywhere in the world currently. Sure, there are Russians who live in other countries and are cheering Putin on, but honestly, most Russians don't. And the only reason why Russians in Russia are so overwhelmingly "for Putin" is because of manufactured consent, threat of being sent to a work camp and never coming back and direct threats of executions for anyone living higher than the first floor.

Sweeping "all Russians" under the same rug is wrong, I believe. That kind of thinking is WW2 era xenophobia which has no place in our modern times.  We are all the same but with different, ever-changing state of minds.

Education and evidence are the only weapons we should use to fight against ignorance and hatred.

Agree, there are quite a few Russians that support the current government, but they are not to be hated, they are to be pitied. They do not have access to proper information and cannot really complaint or express their opinion in public nor verify what the TV feeds them daily.

The current RF government and the military upper ranks, these are to be hated. It is despotism and medieval thinking at its best, pretty much everything that is wrong in the world with weapons on the side.
1283  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: March 09, 2023, 09:27:23 PM
This whole thing is getting more absurd (and obvious) by the day.

Over and over everyone keeps talking about Russia doing their 'greatest offensive.'  Everyone except Russia that is.

Russia said they were going to de-militarize Ukraine.  There is no better and less costly (in human life) way than to have a grinding war of attrition which lasts for years, provided the fighting is done at a time and place of one's choosing.

[...]

Take Bahkmud;  Kiev evacuated their chosen (the Nationalist swastika-bearing units) out a while ago and stuffed in all of the child soldiers, old men, etc that their commissars kidnapped from around the country that they could.  Exactly like stuffing handfuls of meat into a grinder.  Then they let the Russians close the flanks until there was only one muddy road in which is under fire control of the Russians from ranges where the Russian artillery is untouchable.  To top it off, they blew up the bridge needed for those who make it through the turkey-shoot.

(*)  These 'mistakes' are not novice mistakes on the part of military buffoons.  These are well executed plans to 'lose' by people who knew what they were doing.  I'm ever more convinced of it.  It makes perfect sense if you re-evaluate what 'losing' and 'winning' means to various people.

BTW, a very similar thing is happening in the U.S. with respect to the 'mistakes' made by their decision-makers related to NATO and this operation.  America is slotted for demolition also, and by the same basic groups of people.

As usual, raw and senseless propaganda without any source nor any need to justify anything that is said here. This is just food for people who already have their stomach full of the official mantras or want to believe that the RF army is under any kind of control of what is happening in Ukraine.

An interpretation that matches reality: Ukraine does not leave Bahkmud because, despite being under a strong offensive, they can make the untrained, enslaved and sometimes criminal wagnerites pay 100 men for each square meter of land. Even a troll like you must be aware that there are public discussions between Pringozin (Wagner's owner) and Shoigu, including accussations of lavish vacation for the children while their negligence sends RF soldiers by the hundreds to serve a soil fertiliser.
1284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Katyn as a symbol of Russian crimes on: March 09, 2023, 09:16:51 PM
The RF has so much to deny, not only old history, but even during the last year there is appalling evidence of mass murdering and mass graving, attacks to civilian infrastructure and terror tactics by the RF army. The fact that there is even a denial of this being a "war" is a clear sign of how far are they willing to go into the path of divergent reality.
1285  Economy / Gambling / Re: A way to attract new users or a misunderstanding? on: March 09, 2023, 09:13:14 PM
Is this just a misunderstanding of what web 3 actually is? Or it's a way to attract people/users to make them think that their platform is more advanced?.
Well, in business, any thing to bring in or win more customers over to the company is always a go and it's welcomed.
I am not surprised though, things like this are not new, casinos can claim to be what they aren't just for the sole purpose of attracting customers, and I do not blame them, this is an industry where everyone is trying to stay anonymous but still want to get involved in businesses that does not require customers to be anonymous due to some reasons best known to them.
And to keep the business going, they have to make the customer feel that they(the business) is actually what they(the customers) want, so if it takes the casino claiming to be a web 3.0 casinos where as they aren't, it is still a business strategy.

Well, if you do not see anything special, as a user, then there is nothing special. The fact that you ask if there is something behind is already a good clue that there is nothing behind. Anyone can claim, 4D effects or Web 3.0 or Crypto-enhanced or, my favourite : "driven by AI". In the end it is about you and your experience and if it does not feel different is not different.
1286  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: March 09, 2023, 09:04:57 PM

Yeah!  There could be many reasons why the guy made such a big, crazy bet and lost that $1.4M.

For example, I do not rule out that this is just a contractual bet made specifically to promote and advertise such an event.  Moreover, the advertisement is not so much the guy himself, whom many now consider an idiot, but the casino itself, or rather the bookmaker, through which such a big loss was issued.  We do not know many details of this event in order to somehow objectively assess such an event.
And who and how much received from such a deal.

It's possible that this is all plotted from the very beginning to make a noise and stir some speculations and gather attention to the casino website the gambler has lost his millions of dollar, which to be specific, amounted to 1.4 million dollar. Since this is such a big amount, it could be happen to be sponsored. But if that's not the case, it's also possible that the gambler just happen to misclicked or misread the numbers he typed and input, thus amounting to such huge amount of money placed for a single bet.

It's also possible that he trusted so much to the point he was so sure the team he bet on wouldn't lose, but unexpected turn of event happened, thus losing the supposedly "guaranteed win". We'll never really know because there are endless possible reasons. But bottom point would be, always double check your bet, and just bet what you can only afford to lose.
There are many possibilities that could have happened in that bet and we speculate that he has written the wrong number in the bet, which means it is a very large number. And he probably didn't expect that it would cause him such a huge loss even though he might still have other money. But still he would probably be saddened by such a huge loss and he should have realized his mistake and would not repeat it in the future. But if he is a gambler who often uses big money to gamble, it will mean nothing to him because he can definitely accept whatever the outcome is. And we little gamblers should always check everything before we hit that bet button.

The theory of the wrong number or a keying mistake is not impossible, but bear in mind that we are talking about such a large figure that the first "problem" is that he had that into the account and the "second problem" is that the site or place did not asked the guy something like "are you sure dude?" Even without an extra "zero" in the wrong place, it would still be 114.000
1287  Economy / Gambling / Re: they are scamming us? on: March 09, 2023, 08:59:05 PM
Everyone and anyone can judge on their own about these cases. The casinos are there to maximise the profit and players are aware of it of course. If you feel that the site is letting you down too often, to the point in which you can easily notice, then is time to think of migrating to another place. If you are suspicious, do some numbers - it is boring but useful.
1288  Economy / Gambling / Re: Consider open live casino (street gambling games) on: March 09, 2023, 05:51:00 PM
No doubt, if those games are also available from the casino house, gamblers will not take that big risk in playing outside. They might consider playing inside the house instead, but there are also some that will continue to play outside as per their own enjoyment.

This is why we have different types of games because we have different categories of individual. Even though all those games get added to online casino, a vast majority of gamblers might still prefer to go to the street gambling sites since that's what gives them excitement. Just take a lot at what's happening in las Vegas, people still travel the world just to go gamble there.

Humans enjoy taking risk that's why this street gambling has an audience, I think we need to bring back this kind of gambling but we have to make it a little bit secure and you'll get a whole new market to make money from. Gambling allow gets boring sometimes.

Yup, there are still people who loves taking additional risk aside from playing or gambling they are willing to play outside the street and be with those unknown people who might do something bad against them, but that's additional entertainment if they will manage to win and quit with a decent amount of profits.

I see the point that gamblers will always look for something that will bring them extra excitement and enjoyment.

Let's face it, live is always better and if it is street betting is even better. However that is not available when and how you need it, so electronic gambling is the option of the future and gets much more addiction (in a good sense) as you can fit it into your own schedule and probably limit the risk better.

On the street, I would go for betting at chess and perhaps to chance games to avoid scams.
1289  Economy / Gambling / Re: What if bitcointalk creates a casino review and ratings board for members. on: March 09, 2023, 05:47:31 PM
I think the existing casino reviews are good enough, as long as you are strong enough to read from the start they make reviews, representatives and experienced forum members are also cooperative in answering so I don't think there is a need to give a separate review in this forum because this bitcoin  not gambling forum is just entertainment just to fill spare time and boredom with unfavorable market conditions

I also believe that the reviews of feedback about casinos on this forum are already enough for us to have an idea about their credibility and legitimacy. Creating a new thread will only make confusion. Members also know where to check reliable reviews on this forum so I think that would be enough. It is also a good thing that casino developers and representatives are having continuous interactions on their threads.

There is already an space to do this with the current structure of posting and forums. There have been many talks about changing the forum and doing formation or courses, etc... however these have not come to any conclusion. I believe Theymos would not be much interested in having to change to create some short of review structure for casinos, as this is just a section.
1290  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rupert Murdoch & Fox News lied about January 6th on: March 08, 2023, 12:44:00 AM
This January 6th nonsense highlights exactly what's wrong with the left vs right bullshit.  It's very obvious the left turned away additional security and the security that was there was ordered to fall back and let the protesters in.  It's also obvious that the FBI and antifa were the ones that were riling the crowd up and pushing them into the building.  Sure, the right wingers talking about stopping the results were bat shit crazy, but taking advantage of crazy people to create some invasion talking points is honestly worse than the mentally ill people who thought that storming government buildings was a good idea.  It's all such a joke.  I can't believe anyone gives a shit about this other than to find out why it was allowed to happen.

Yet we did not hear the President of the United Stated, Mr. Donal Trump, who is anything but shy, appear on TV or in the media asking people to stop and go back. If he did not want it to happen, why did not say so? All the people there were their supporters - the craziest ones and the most "loyal". A request from him to end the matter would have carried weight .... yet there he stood. Silent. Guilty. A dictator to be after the coup attempt.

It is interesting how US people do not value their democracy. My guess is that they take it for granted because they do not know anything else.
1291  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russophobia as a phenomenon on: March 08, 2023, 12:33:36 AM
I must say that there are many Russophobes among the Russians, because in large numbers they are fleeing Russia.

Putin's popularity in Russia is about 80%. Is it like this because of all the Russophobes who left Russia? Lol. But you gotta consider that many of the Russophobes left Russia to go to Ukraine to help with the police action against Ukraine. They aren't really Russophobes, are they? But they DID leave Russia, didn't they... to go fight in Ukraine? Lol.

Now, compare that with Ukrainophobes. It's like 80% of the Ukrainian population left Ukraine. Why? Could they be on Russia's side, simply getting out of the way so that Russia could do its job against the Ukraine Nazi's?

Ukrainophobes were fed up with the Ukraine government long before Zelensky moved in. Zelensky was the final straw. Ukraine's population is so small, now, that all the money and armament that the US and Nato are shipping in isn't enough to stop the Russians.

You plainly don't know what you are blabbing about.

Cool

All the "information" on this post is false. Putin's popularity is not measured by any trustable standard, 2 Million Russians already voted with their feet by migrating, even to countries that are not really that attractive. And the population of Russia has been on the decline for more than a two decades.

The RF invasion of Ukraine is only related to Putin's ambitions in the territory, there is no ideological background to it. Many Ukrainians gave their lives during WW II fighting against the III Reich. The Soviet Union had at least one prime minister of Ukrainian origin. Ukraine has effectively stopped the RF army and recovered territory. The population of Ukraine is enough to fight, because today's wars are much more about technology, training and moral (hint, a Vagnerite taken from a prison to the front classes as "low moral" and "immoral" btw).

I have a friend that hates ducks, but that does not make "duckophobia" more real than Santa Claus.

There will always be racism and fascism, but there is no threat to the Russian culture, traditions or any other expression that could be classed as "Russian". Please, be all very aware of the current RF government trying to appear to be a defender of "values", they are not, they are just criminals. The divide is artificial and voiced by a government that need their population to hate others to hide their own ineptitude. A classic tactic - if things go poorly at home, look for an enemy outside.
A clear proof that the government is not concerned with Russophobia is the war itself - unless they believe that people will love them for killing others.

Russophobia was caused by the government controlled media of the West. The media is controlled in such a way that it hides hide the fact that it is controlled by government. Stalin made this Russophobia to have a basis in being real. The media simply expanded on it.

Wake up. Stalin is long gone. His ideals might still be held by many people, but these ideals are waning, as well. However, Russia under Stalin did have one thing that is good... strength. The way this strength was managed was what was wrong.

The thing that we are talking about is US control through the money system. The money system controls the governments of the West. And they are the ones who are creating Russophobia through the media. And because you were personally or family hurt by somebody-Russia or something-Russia, you have blown the whole Russophobia idea way out of proportion.

Cool

Are you sure about that?
...

He/She is sure about everything. That one common problem in the world: the people who are wrong are the ones that are "more sure" about their stuff.

This guy bottom line is that he would not want to pay to help Ukraine, and finds all short of "arguments" to justify.

Its good because it works great for penetrating enemy armour, and it will also
greatly affect cancer mortality in the area in years to come...paxmao and other
anglosaxons don't really care if Ukrainians or Russians will die, same as
both Serbs and Albanians die in Kosovo

https://www.dw.com/en/uranium-risks-haunt-kosovo-survivors/a-16366645

Nah, got a few of those guesses wrong Branko. What makes you think I am Anglo-Saxon?

The question was not "what do I think about it" it was "what do you think it is being sent there". The answer is that Abrams tanks use it.

No, the long term mortality from depleted uranium munition is nothing like a dirty bomb, but yes, it has been questioned, curiously enough, for the effects on people on the logistic chain. I do not see why would they send it to fight in allied territory, which is much more worrying to think.

BTW, not caring looks more like shooting and fighting and shelling around the largest nuclear plant in Europe. Does that ring a bell? Unless you consider that it was "for every Slav best interests" - to risk the biggest ever nuclear meltdown in the middle of the lands inhabited mostly by Slavs with winds that would take them even deeper into Slav territories. But of course... that was Ukraine attacking the RF. Was it not?

Latest logrolling gossip.
Moldavia to be offered Budjak region (13,188 km2) in exchange for Transnistria (4,163 km2). Thus Moldavia gaining sea access, but must remain Neutral. Transnistria to be part of "Odessa People's Republic".
Ah, forgot some still of the opinion Ukraine has some say in the matter.

https://youtu.be/7il-yCKySGE

LOL, and what is source of this gossip? ....

Talking to someone (babushka) who originates from there and it is "talk of the town".

Edit:
Why does Ukraine need depleted uranium?
https://rumble.com/v2bn3f8-us-sends-depleted-uranium-amo-to-ukraine.html

Depleted Uranium, you mean like the depleted uranium that is used in AT shells in the Abrams combat tank and provide an extra of effective armour penetration when used against rolled steel angled armours like the ones in the T70, T90 and (if they ever get them to work) the Armata? You mean that type of depleted uranium that could potentially be used in those conventional weapons battles now that Ukraine is at war and Russia seems to have plenty of tanks?

Oh... who knows. Maybe Ukraine is thinking of destroying Russian tanks by shooting at them, but my guess only... you know. My guess again, but there is only one type of tank that can use that munition so... does that make you have your own educated guess on why could that be?

1294  Other / Politics & Society / Why the population of Russia has decreased for decades on: March 05, 2023, 11:49:27 PM
Before opinions, a few facts:
- The population in Russia is missing the people between 20 and 30 years. They are simply not there:

- Life expectancy is around 70 years, compared to nearly 80 average in Europe. In Ukraine is more than 73 BTW.

- People leave Russia more than they come. Like a lot more.

Quote
Net loss of one person every 30 seconds[19] One net migrant every 4 minutes

- Population has been declining steadily since the early 90s. Abortion is sky-high and natality very low. Russians do not want children (or more likely, they cannot afford children).

https://www.rand.org/pubs/issue_papers/IP162.html

- One of the reasons why some (https://www.ft.com/content/8c576a9c-ba65-4fb1-967a-fc4fa5457c62) argue Russia has a demographic crisis is the mortality in men and the war in Ukraine has made a significant impact on life expectancy of the young.

Does this look like a success from the government that claims to "protect the Russians"?

Fear of Russian genocidal maniacs is perfectly rational.

Why would all the Russians deserve to be deported? Just because they are Russians? Where is the common sense in that?

1297  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: March 03, 2023, 09:34:33 AM
Well, I have to clarify that personally I have never had any loan or debt in my life so this thread has nothing to do with my experience but intends to find out how people in loan/debt deal with the problem. Let's say you take loans from a bank and sometimes for whatever reason, you can not pay the debt on time, then you borrow money from other channels. Sure this works for a certain period but later bad things may happen, you have to postpone the payment and struggle with finances again. Isn't this a vicious circle ? How would you deal with the problem ? I am all ears.

A loan is not a problem. This is one of the thing Kiyosaki got right: There is bad debt and good debt. Debt that makes you poor and debt that makes you rich. I will explain: You take a debt to buy fancy clothes, you wear them for a little while, your debt is there to pay. Bad idea. You buy a basic car to go to work, you finance it and pay with the salaries. Good idea. You finance a property at 2%, refurb and sell it and repay, earning 30% in the process. Very good debt.
1298  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: March 03, 2023, 09:30:56 AM
Coupons and promos usually mislead the consumers into thinking that they are buying cheaper. I will put an example: I know a country in which an something that has been at a certain price for 14 days and then discounted can be legally advertised as "discounted". Hence, many companies put stuff for sale at a ridiculous price for 14 days and then claim a 40% discount on the original price... which technically is true, but at the same time false.

Meat and eggs I can get them from my neighbour if I want to, albeit a bit expensive I rekon. Otherwise, food shortages require a good store in the good years, there is no other way round. Buy stuff when cheap and find a way to store it.
