1321  Other / Off-topic / Re: A Waiting list to receive (my) sMerits (provably yours too) on: May 03, 2018, 11:58:30 PM
May I ask why you're doing this? You're seriously wasting a lot of time and effort on this mate. You don't need to have a waiting list, because :

1. You'll see good posts all across the forum, not by everyone but a few members, you can merit them if you want or just do nothing. Point is you'll find good posts worthy enough of merits not only for now but in the future as well. Also, there'll come a time, where a lot of people will exhaust their sMerits,so be careful on that.

2. You don't have to do all of this. There are always much better things to do.

Question :How are blocks created?
1323  Other / Meta / Re: Is the merit system flawed? on: May 03, 2018, 11:47:15 PM
Merit system is cool! It drives people crazy. They want to buy merits. How much more of ridiculousness can one expect. This is intact the proof of the system working. People are trying to fine loopholes and what not for it. So come to think of it in the long run,it is not flawed.
1324  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I'm receiving merit abuse reports in my talk merit ticketing system. on: May 03, 2018, 11:40:03 PM
Certainly. I'll break this down a bit more.
1. Selling merit is a service, a black market service maybe but still a service.
2. This thread is discussing said service as to how to send reports against the services in question is it not?
Alrighy, but one thing: Merit abusal doesn't necessarily mean buying and selling of merits(are people actually shelling out money on that, that is crazy!). Merit abusal apparently includes exchange of merit between alts/friends/family/god et al.

Jetcash, have you thought about like opening a new thread/posting in existing ones about the merit abuses, all under your name,so that those who are scared of revealing themselves(?) can not be scared anymore.
But honestly, there wouldn't be much reports, and things go in many possible ways, most  of them ending with a waste of time and energy. So probably just let this go. Its only merit afterall,go get some sleep.
1325  Other / Meta / Re: Auto-lock of topics after a week or 100 posts to solve spammer problem? on: May 03, 2018, 11:34:15 PM
No I don't really think that, as soon as I started to criticize a mod and tagging high rank members, a global moderator included their friend on DT2 to silence me. hint: their friend tagged me a few hours before getting into DT2 list. you call that freedom? directly manipulating trust scores like that?
In all fairness, you have been acting really weird and are becoming hard to interpret, your sarcasm is weirdly weird and non-comprehendable, which is why you got tagged. I was talking about freedom, as in that you're free to voice out your opinion, unless you're crossing your line, which most people think you're,then comes a little moderation. Your behavior is hard to conceive as this is a forum, people can't read your face/mind easily. So if you probably are a bit more clearer, who knows things may get much better.
1326  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: forum format on: May 03, 2018, 11:07:46 PM
I mistakenly believed that in the future there will be a mobile version? Oh, I'm sorry. It seems to me that I read somewhere about it.
There's no official bitcointalk application for mobile is that's where you're coming at. This has been discussed before, but no,there is not going to any official bitcointalk application for mobile. You can just use your normal browser to log in or something.
1327  Economy / Services / Re: A simple bitcoin Q/A. Learn new and interesting stuff about bitcoin. on: May 03, 2018, 10:24:35 PM
I am really sorry guys that I am not in the situation to reply to every single one of your posts, but please give me some time,I'll come around really soon and correct. It may be even tomorrow,I just need some time. Please ,I am sorry again.
1328  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: forum format on: May 03, 2018, 10:11:56 PM
Are you talking about having a dark theme? Like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2668798.msg27232735#msg27232735 ?
Don't worry, bitcointalk's new forum will have a ton more new features, you know..Once it is released in the year 3018 and while we are living in Mars. Kiss
I really need a mobile version. I often read the forum without login. And it's very hard for me to perceive the information on the phone. I know that the version for phones is being developed.
With the color all is ok, it's pretty standard.
Then buy a phone with a bigger screen to body ratio,or with a big screen or just use a PC.
1329  Other / Meta / Re: Auto-lock of topics after a week or 100 posts to solve spammer problem? on: May 03, 2018, 10:09:17 PM
Hint for merit sources: when you merit posts on Serious discussion your sMerits would increase, that was what I felt at least back in the days when I was a source. lol.
....
I seriously can't make out if this is sarcasm or genuineness.
If merit sources only merit members posting in serious discussion and Ivory tower and if there is a strict moderation on posts in there, if politics and society moderator gives the members some freedom, forum members would stop to migrate to serious discussion from P & S.
Merit sources most likely won't stick only to boards like serious discussion/Ivory tower, they would rather spread their merits all across the different boards of the forum. Flying Hellfish and even theymos give a lot of freedom to users all across the boards, let alone Politics and Society. Sure some moderators delete stuff related to anti-christ stuff but there is freedom. You should be knowing better than anyone else. Don't you think?

Auto locking of topics is a stupid thing to do, why do we have moderators? though suggesting it is not stupid.
Even if signatures are disabled in SD, if you could get a significant amount of merits for posting there, you would go there and post.
Maybe yes. But autolocking would be great if the thread is created for an enquiry and not for a discussion,so that the enquiry threads can be locked when the issue is solved. So yeah, its not required. Mods can handle that, possibly.
Seriously, why is everyone caring so much about merits? Give it a chill man. If you're true bitcoiner, you wouldn't give a shit about merits, even if they have monetary worth.
1330  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I'm receiving merit abuse reports in my talk merit ticketing system. on: May 03, 2018, 09:58:31 PM
If its merit abuse by selling merit or trading it then it belongs better here. I could be here, meta, serious discussion or reputation but this makes a bit more sense IMO.
Can you explain why exactly "merit abusal" comes under service discussion. My mind isn't co-operating with me right now,so do pardon me. Undecided

Initial time some DT member also has been involved in merit farming but still many people miss to red tag them since they are in DT list. I hope instead of finding the non power people.
Best he can do like finding the most powerful people who using it wrong to grab the merits soon.

I see the thread created by Hilarious meta for finding the merit abusers. He already doing best job there.
So you want hilarious&co to check out these reports? Not all DT members are corrupt,if they are they won't be DT members at all. DT members haven't been exactly merit farming, they just didn't want to merit shitposters and they rathered sent it to someone they knew, who are possibly not shitposters and are reputable.
1331  Other / Meta / Re: How someone can send merits without receiving a single merit? on: May 03, 2018, 09:50:31 PM
Thank you for pointing out, yes I did not know this before.
(I was wondering where did he get these smerits, did he cheat? that was the main reason behind this thread)
He did not cheat, now that it is cleared. And why is it that members are so after merit abusers. Don't waste your sleep over it man. You only live once. Even if there are merit abusers, their merit will decay. They will run out of merits soon enough. In the long run,a bunch of shitposters won't have anything. Give it a break.

Now that the case is somewhat resolved,as we have heard from all the three parties, can you lock the thread. It is sort of bringing unnecessary attention.
1332  Other / Meta / Re: How someone can send merits without receiving a single merit? on: May 02, 2018, 09:31:43 PM
That's his initial merit. All the hero members received around those many merits.
Here's a reference:
The exact formula was:

Code:
yearActivity = activity in the last ~year, max 378
freeMerit = the merit (not sMerit) you started with
modifier =
  0.1 if member
  0.2 if full member
  0.25 if sr member
  0.35 if hero
  0.4 if legendary

return (yearActivity/378) * modifier * freeMerit
1333  Other / Meta / Re: Auto-lock of topics after a week or 100 posts to solve spammer problem? on: May 02, 2018, 08:56:11 PM
Serious discussion isn't working out very well(its purpose is working very well, but the discussions aren't involving a lot of people),for a lot of people don't use it because it not including signatures, but it would be actually great if we have a sub-board to bitcoin discussion, which is heavily moderated.
1334  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I'm receiving merit abuse reports in my talk merit ticketing system. on: May 02, 2018, 07:05:59 PM
Why is this thread in service discussion and not in meta? Huh
1335  Other / Meta / Re: Banned Account Question on: May 02, 2018, 07:03:52 PM
I am a person who very much believes in Exceptions in literally anything and everything. We all know that people are assholes/scumbags/pricks and what not. But at the end of the day, there exists a few people that deserves a second chance. That second chance may or maynot be at a cost, but if there is,ChiBitCTy is proving himself that he'll keep up to it. Maybe give him a permanent punishment of never wearing any signatures/a 3-month ban/something that is possible and at the same time,is a punishment. I believe ChiBitCTy has contributed more to this forum than Loneshark(?),comparatively.

theymos, was there any specific reason why you un-banned Loanshark?

1336  Economy / Services / Re: [38/50] Receive 0.0025 BTC for your review of a new bitcoin mixer BESTMIXER.IO on: May 02, 2018, 03:05:51 PM
So I gave this website a shot, and here's my review on this:

Introduction: The introduction is well, not bad. There can be so many improvements. Not everything is properly explained. A new user who is very much new to mixing, may find it confusing. So I suggest you to re-analyse your guides.

User Interface: The User interface is good, not the best though. I still prefer chipmixer's  UI to any other UI. The dark theme isn't eye catching, because it sort of has a space background, which is not exactly related to mixing.

Mixing experience: Again, things aren't much clear when you start mixing,I like how chipmixer guides through the entire process more simplistically. Chipmixer even offers the session for 7 days, and it even gives the option to extend the session. I sent a huge amount of bitcoins to your mixing website, still waiting for it to be processed. The timer sucks because it never changes, like it should be changing every second,at least that is what I would expect but it is not so.

Why you should use bestmixer: If you want to be anonymous, you can use bestmixer. This mixer is probably for those who already have experience in mixing their coins. This website even offers for mixing other cryptos like Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. Ethereum is coming soon. If you're a TOR user, you can use this website as well. Developers can use their API too. They provide you a "Letter of Guarantee",if you're into that.

Conclusion: Now,I don't like this mixer very much, but I can hope for it to be better in the future. Probably because I find chipmixer much better and convenient but nonetheless. Fees aren't bad. But one thing that definitely needs change is that you need to entirely change your FAQs,your introduction,I wouldn't even mind if you change your entire website into a new, better and user-friendly experience.
Will confirm once my funds are mixed.

Edit: Received my funds from mixing. Just took a lot of time though. Undecided

Edit 2: Still waiting for my payment

Received my payment as well. Thank you so much.

1338  Economy / Services / Re: Hiring writer to write / re-write "into to bitcoin" articles on: April 30, 2018, 11:10:29 AM
Bump
Why are you bumping this if this is not your thread.
Hiring Writer to Write / We-write "into to bitcoin" articles.
i.e. What is bitcoin?
What is bitcoin mining?
What is bitcoin trading etc?
Each article needs to be 1500 to 2500 words.

Offering $10 to 15 per article paid in coin.
Can you post a few more details on this?
1339  Other / Meta / Re: LoyceV's Merit source application on: April 29, 2018, 10:39:24 PM
So, perhaps another batch change to the source members, at some point, but might include both the addition and the subtraction of source members.
Apparently, digaran resigned from being a merit source.
