1321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are happy only when the price goes up? on: July 24, 2020, 05:26:39 AM
the answer is very simple, when the price of Bitcoin rises high, the price of the coins we store in our wallets will also go up high, including useless junk coins may also will to increase. although some are unhappy because the price of Bitcoin is rising but they can also take advantage of opportunities such as selling and waiting to buy when there is a decline.
That's for those who bought when the price was pretty low, they are always happy for this reasons because when the price rise above their bought level they have already acquire some good profit. Though, there are many others who don't find happiness whenever the price of Bitcoin rise, until it rise above their bought level. Those sects will keep on shilling bitcoin till it exceed their bought level.
There's a lot of opportunity last march where you can buy a lot of bitcoin because the price is too low. Now that the bitcoin price value go up, they wanted a decrease for them to buy, it's kinda unfair for those who waited for almost many months just for the bitcoin to go up. If they missed the chance to buy when there's an opportunity, then it's not our fault if we want to the bitcoin price to go up 'cause we waited so much time after the bitcoin halving and we are currently waiting for the 10k-11k$ mark.
1322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: July 23, 2020, 10:17:00 PM
$5 isn't that much.. Compare it with an ad campaign, they could spend "$1" per click and maybe(probably) less than 20% register on the website..

While that $5 could return to the website as the new costumer lose all bets, the ad money goes to other hands.. So I think it's a smart bonus..

agreed with you, i dont think 100% user that received the bonus could win and withdrawls, theres maybe only 5% that could win with that 5$ and withdrew it, and the rest will be back to the website, look like 5$ bonus for new registered user is the best option to promote new gambling website than doing advertise on ads.
Probably, those bonuses in the start are their investments on you to stay on their platform. That's why they're giving you bonuses so you can use it on their platform. Gambling platforms will not give free money, there's always exchange for that. So if you received money from them, try to spent it on their platform to test if you like their gambling platform or not.

Sometimes free money isn't what real gamblers are looking for, but the benefits of the platforms that will make them stay longer.
1323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess on Sports/eSports betting on: July 23, 2020, 10:04:48 PM
There are plenty of eSports games like hearthstone and legends of runeterra which has complex mechanics like chess but look, people are still into it.

the difference is that it's more "hype" thing, fantasy-like games, and because of that audience is far wider. And also in hearthstone there is much more random unlike chess. So we have a big question will be chess so popular in betting even like a hearthstone.
it depend on how the game was being market. Advertisement is one good option to gather all sports lover of this game. i know there were many of them and it could be a potential good business. Imagine the grandmaster playing chess, pretty sure it will have a  lots of viewers and betting would be ideal in that part plus the live broadcast will help a lot for all the chess players to watch the match. Probably it could even go like PayperView if things will go right in chess in their advertisement.

chess is already popular and no need for advestisement  but only less people are paying attention on it when it comes to esports  . there are pro players on chess but we arent informed if when they gonna go live on streaming service like twitch but we can still watch older videos of them  . i dont know runeterra but im familiar with heartstone  . it was owned by blizzard , the same company created frozen throne  . its no surprise the game instantly have a supporter when it came out  .
Chess still need advertisement, its only popular because it was taught on our sports class as one of the famous board games. And it is not an eSports yet, but there's a possibility since it got mainstreamed on streaming platforms. Even me who aren't interested on chess because of complexity but when I saw its potential, I get interested and watch some matches in chess platforms.
1324  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Warning: SEC issued a warning against FORSAGE! on: July 23, 2020, 02:12:38 PM

Bale tuturuan nila gumawa ng coins.ph wallet then send sa forsage account nila yung ETH from coins.ph.

Nakaka bobo tlga.

Hayssss
Same case with me, ang daming tao ang nadadale ng ganitong pamamaraan. I can still see many posts sa social media especially facebook na nanghihikayat sila ng members ng forsage and maraming naaattract, sila yung mga taong walang sa cryptocurrency.

1325  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why bitcoin never a ponzi on: July 23, 2020, 01:52:25 PM
It's obvious that bitcoin is a ponzi.

Ponzi still exist nowadays because of bitcoin, so it means that bitcoin is not a ponzi. There's a lot of new platforms spreading all over the social media that uses cryptocurrency just to attract many users in their ponzi platform. A ponzi is a pyramiding scheme, a business platform where the money you earned is from the other people who put initial investments. There's no referral bonus gained to those who recommends bitcoin to the other people. And there's no specific amount needed for you to invest in bitcoin, even a 10$ can make you money but don't expect too much.
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need bitcoin? on: July 23, 2020, 01:38:32 PM
I do need bitcoin, this is one of the easiest ways to grow money without requiring referrals and gifting system which is called a Ponzi. There's a lot of Ponzi scheme around social media and we can't stop it. So I mainly focus on investing a lot of money in cryptocurrency because even it's volatile, it's guaranteed that the price will surely grow. There are a lot of investments and cryptocurrency is the one that I admire a lot.

So I guess bitcoin now has a great part on my life, since my course is somehow related to digital, I can easily discuss or explain the complex ideas about it and has the possibility to develop it. Bitcoin is one of the greatest inventions in the digital world, and that's the reason why I really like it and we need it as our society is going into digital right now.
1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Home Court advantage = Not an advantage now because of no-live audience? on: July 17, 2020, 11:04:01 PM

I guess what mostly affects home-court advantages are only Baseball and Basketball since playing Soccer always feel like they are at their own home and its just a matter of confidence on which team are able to pull off some better tactics on how to play it on that field. Basketball is different since they can practice at their own courts which enables them to have sort of a better vibe on what to do on those spots which is the same for Baseball but not that much.

Soccer games are always plays on fields of grass and I guess they will surely feel the same as always and just depend on the audience to boost their morale since there are large arenas of them.
Actually I believe thar audience on the home courts always boost the morale of the home team, it is all the same whatever game they are playing. The cheers of the crowds make most of the home players comfortable, meanwhile the distractions made by the live audience against the players of the away team, most of the time makes them to feel and think differently in a negative way. Resulting them to lost focus on the game and more possibly lose the game. But not all players are affected by live audience. Some are really focused on the game and you can't distract them speciall if they are on fire!
They have been doing that all the time, so these teams are already get used to it, it might affect them but not that much.
What I believe would really give the team a boost is the fans of the home team, they are the reasons why the home team are playing hard to win because they are inspired by their fans and they see the support, but for the opposite team, not really that much, although the boo can be heard inside the arena but they just play professionally and always stick with the game plan. Now, it's not fun but it's interesting to see games without a crowd.
Home court still has an advantage, the vibe of the area is still there because it's your court and it still boosts you unlike playing on the other court. Still, the crowd's support has a big boost for those players and helping their minds to focus and win the game.

Actually, organizers are already making things like nba2k where we can hear the audience and crowd's cheers on the actual game even there's no live audience.
1328  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: July 17, 2020, 10:16:19 PM
If we maximize the development of technology maybe soon but it will take a lot of years before it happens. Using smartphones is still not normalize in other countries and there are still people who lives in the traditional ways that use cash as payment. But as we foresee the future, a cashless society is really possible but it requires a lot before it'll be implemented.

The majority should also agree with using digital money and I doubt that all of them will agree since some don't have reliable sources of internet connection. Actually, there's a lot of apps now that can be used in an online transaction like online banking. So if they add more features to it, it's really possible and banks will surely phase out physical money if all users are into online banking.
1329  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: SEC WARNS AGAINST FORSAGE, RCashOnline and The Saint John on: July 17, 2020, 09:59:35 PM
I just had two college friends message me about Forsage and RCashOnline kasi nakikita nila na pinopost ng iba nilang friends on Facebook yung weekly earnings 'daw' na nakukuha ng mga ito at natetempt sila na sumali sa ganitong mga investment schemes. What's funny is they are skeptic about me being skeptic on these platforms dahil inaakala nila na ayaw ko lang silang kumita at gusto ko solohin yung rewards. In reality, I don't give a heck on these investment schemes dahil stable naman ang aking work, at secured na ko somehow for life dahil sa aking bitcoin savings. It helps to warn other people na magtatanong sa atin kugn okay ba mag-invest sa mga ganito dahil sanay na tayo sa kalakaran ng mga ganitong pakulo. Better to receive hate from people and save their money rather than seeing them weeping and all you can say is 'I told you so' in the end.

The worst part is, tinuturing nilang online job yun kasi kumikita sila, well totoo naman kasi may pera silang nakukuha but it's not a job tho, maituturing pa bang job yun kung marami ng nakakaalam ng scheme na ito.
1330  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [MEGATHREAD] Pilipinas Coronavirus/COVID-19 Thread on: July 17, 2020, 09:46:38 PM
Doble ingat when it comes to posting something against the government. There was a college student na pinatawag ata ng NBI 'cause of criticizing Sen. Bong Go. Though may possible violation ata siya but what I'm pointing out is ganiyan sila ka sensitive...
masyado naman kasi atang Direct yung tama ng post, which is talagang considered as personal attack, may kaso talaga iyan.

Some of it are just criticism and sa tingin ko hindi naman ata okay ipatawag yung student dahil crinitiscize niya yung senador na yon. The fact that people's money ang kanilang kinikita, they should accept criticism kung may nakikitang mali ang mga tao. Pero may iilan nga diyan na sobrang below the belt na memes and posts pero can't blame those people kasi sila rin yung mga naaagrabyado sa desisyon ng gobyerno. Also, nawawala ang pagiging professional, if a simple post sa social media affects them, mas lalo siguro in personal baka may hindi magandang mangyari.

https://rappler.com/nation/bong-go-asked-nbi-probe-social-media-posts-against-him
Quote
The NBI earlier subpoenaed an individual who ranted on Facebook about the administration's spending, criticizing how the government did not initially have funds for health workers when it was earlier able to buy a P2 billion jet.

1331  Economy / Economics / Re: The unfortunate event that is Quarantine. on: July 17, 2020, 09:32:50 PM
How about the third-world country??? I mean, the 1st world is having a ahard time these days. The anxiety will be present and many people will be suffering from it. Its a good thing that somehow our government is still providing sme basic needs but the question is " how long they can sustain it?". Hoping that this pandemic will end anytime soon, so people will be back to their normal life. By the way, somehow i like the result of this pandemic to.our mother earth.

I am also from the third work country and you are right. People now in my country is begging for food. Its like that they are aware of transmission of the virus but their stomach (and their family) is aching. They may not die in the virus but from hunger.

Same situation in here where a lot of people don't have enough money to buy their needs. People are suffering because of this pandemic and the government doesn't have plans for the poor, even they give "ayuda" or help us by giving money, it's not enough to survive. We should've banned the travel ban and maybe we won't go in this state.
1332  Economy / Economics / Re: China will rule world as economy king after crisis end? on: July 17, 2020, 09:11:27 PM

During the world in the lockdown time China was open  and their economy is running in normal phase while the world is shut short of.

Very smart to continue business while other countries are in major lockdown, china lock medias so there's no negative news to flow around.
They take this pandemic as an advantage for them to grow their economy while the other countries are still suffering from it. They should allow investigation regarding about COVID-19 so people will definitely know the real origin of the virus.
They have really done well to contain the virus .
Part of it yes, but the other side, they are good preventing medias to report what's the real score inside.
Even the cases on their country was suddenly stopped and I guess they're manipulating the data.
Though they may have to face the consequence on future if known that it was spread purposely and other countries may stop importing from China and will move to other countries .
If being proven, this will be the after effects of this virus. Worse, super power countries might condemned them for doin it.
The problem is, China says that their aren't the source of the virus even it started in Wuhan, China so it's kinda difficult to solve this case.
1333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may again ban cryptocurrency on: July 17, 2020, 08:55:34 PM
I noticed South Asian country authorities are more into banning crypto. Possibly they think it's hard for them to regulate crypto but the reality is - true crypto enthusiast will find their own way and it can't be stopped for real. The wise move will be to study and adopted with crypto culture.
Is South Korea not considered South Asian?

They're the worlds biggest crypto backing country.
South Korea is not included in the South or South East Asia country, they're in the East Asia part.
Maybe this news is true, but there is more and more people getting into cryptocurrency usage. Another thing more and more cryptocurrency and blockchain related development is happening within India. In recent days TCS, one of the leading IT service provider have entered the cryptomarket. If the government isn't supportive TCS could've never taken the steps forward. Upon this there is very less chance of cryptocurrencies getting banned in India.
You are absolutely right now India is doing very good in cryptocurrency and just few negative mind peoples creating rumours about this few days back we have announcements from few big exchanges as they are going to invest and opening representative offices in India for better way so I am feeling India could be next big in this technology.
As long as there is no word regarding banning of cryptocurrency from the government, then we shouldn't believe and statements spreading around the internet. Some countries are still looking forward to the use of cryptocurrency because they see a huge potential in this.

The problem is, there will be a sudden changes on the economy and I think there are not enough studies about cryptocurrency because it's still on the development.
1334  Economy / Economics / Re: returning to normal on: July 17, 2020, 08:40:06 PM
I can't figure out why exactly COVID-19 caused such a panic? We have millions of people dying from other diseases. In our country, there are many people infected with AIDS and tuberculosis. And this pandemic has been around for a long time. Let me be wrong, but it seems to me that all the hype around the pandemic is very inflated and connected with big game, that government has conceived. There is a lot of money involved here. Because PR at the beginning of the pandemic was huge.
Same thought, COVID-19 is one of the mainstream viruses spreading around the world but some already forgot that there are other diseases that cause more danger to our body. Why did the COVID-19 be in the mainstream right now? because the spreading of the virus is very fast and many have suffered and died already because none of us doesn't know how to prevent or cure this thing. The cases around the world are increasing day by day, and many people are dying and the economy was affected due to lockdown or quarantine.
1335  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest winner during COVID? on: July 17, 2020, 08:15:25 PM
I think the only winner is the covid19 virus that killed a lot of people all over the world and keep on increasing until now. Medical industry can't be a winner because even the doctors die because of this covid. Economic situation of every country are going to collapse . If there will be a winner ,that will be the one who can create a medicine for this virus because even if they sell it at a higher price i think every country will buy it in order to prevent this pandemic. Other sectors are also down, nothing scapes.
Yes, even the government give a lot of attention to the medical industry to make the vaccine, we can't forget that we have lost great doctors at the start of this pandemic. Until now, those people in the medical field are still suffering 'cause their lives are at stake and some of them can't afford to die just because the government's plan is a failure.

The only thing that I see in this part is those oligarchs who still earning a lot of money during this pandemic and abusing their power even many people are already affected.
1336  Other / Off-topic / Re: The New Normal on: July 17, 2020, 08:05:01 PM
Some experts said that its impossible for us to go back to our normal lives, while this severe Pandemic is not over yet. And that we need to deal with this so-called "New Normal".
We tend to do studies, works and even businesses at home and other transactions virtually with the help of modern technology and the internet.
Being fully into digital world now, does it also help reviving the Country's economy that fast?
How do you cope up with this new normal set up?

There isn't going to be a "New Normal". Everything is going to go back to the "old normal" once the pandemic is over. We are expecting to bring this pandemic to an end right at the middle of the December or the beginning of the 2021.
We can already see some countries already on their phase 3 trail of the new vaccines that are being created and they had a really promising result on the phase 1 and phase 2.
If everything works out fine, we can hope for everything going back to normal.
We can't still say yet if we will go back to the old normal, that's why new normal was invented 'cause everything changes suddenly. There are many countries that are already in debt like our country who loaned a lot of money for this health crisis, do you think it'll gonna be easy for us to go back to the old normal, definitely not. Yes, we are expecting an end for this pandemic but right now vaccine is still on the making and a lot of money already spent just to find this cure. It's easy to say that we will go back to normal once this pandemic ended but look at the economic side, there are many affected by it.
1337  Local / Pamilihan / Re: BABALA: Twitter Hacked Incident! Don`t Click on: July 17, 2020, 03:35:12 PM
They've also used this pandemic situation to give out some fake giveaways.

Anyway, twitter did some actions already  about this issue. From what I saw madami ang nag retweet sa mga fake giveaways and I do hope na hindi sila nagpaloko sa mga ganitong fake double schemes.

Hindi rin, more on dagdag popularity siguro,hehe..
Parang bad publicity is still a publicity?
1338  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Panahon Na Nga Ba Maging "Cashless Society" ang Pilipinas? on: July 17, 2020, 02:03:37 PM
Replying to the Subject:

Nakikita natin na puro cashless ang transactions dahil takot na ang mga tao lumabas at meron naring online banking na tinatawag, you can access your money in the banks through app nalang.
1339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Twitter hacked on: July 17, 2020, 12:32:47 PM
Not just Elon Musk, all of those major investors and US figures are also been hacked.

Hackers that made this act is kinda brilliant, they attacked those employees who have access to internal data and security. That's why they make the scam possible in the internet world.
I hope no one got baited on this obvious scam made by the hackers. Anyways, social media accounts are really prone to be hacked by using some tools to implement the hacking so it's not new anymore.
1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of America now treats BTC and ETH as Cash on: July 17, 2020, 11:55:46 AM
What's your source mate? We all knew that a big economy like the US doesn't want to adopt cryptocurrency because of its volatility and can't be considered as safe to use.

The source is a reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/hi78v4/cryptocurrency_is_considered_a_cash_equivalent/

It honestly isn't the best type of source to verify a claim. The submission has now been removed by mods. Perhaps it was even a suspected fake.
If true, we shouldn't rush to consider this good news. A probable cause of this decision could be that it was done to deter abuse of card benefits programs. Right now there are some services that allow you to buy crypto with cards without extra cost. This could be used to rack up miles on a bonus program. This was done also when the FED was selling coin stacks for CC payments for free. Banks were quick to catch up of course.
I see, it's just a Reddit post, some people thought Reddit entries are always reliable. It's true that it'll not gonna be easy and will have a lot of changes in the economy, especially in taxation. Bitcoin has a lot of potentials but let's not forget its downside when we legalize the use of it.
