1361  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Generating Seed words on: June 19, 2023, 11:28:43 PM

Just for peace of mind.  I know Electrum is open source, but there have been cases of wallet software generating known seeds.  I think my extended words will give peace of mind.
Yeah, I agree but if you generated or pick custom words on an infected and online device with your extended word there is still a possibility that someone can steal your seed and extended word.

So I suggest do it on the offline environment you can install Electrum to the offline device and generate a seed there(or pick your own 12 words but make sure to enable BIP39) with an extended custom word and then add a passphrase and tick encryption. Once it's done Electrum generates an encrypted and password-protected wallet file that you can later transfer to the online device only if you want to use it on an online device it is way more safer from keyloggers than doing it all on an online device or completely use it on an offline device and use it only for signing transaction.
1362  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Fun & learning with Sparrow Wallet on Electrum EPS & Bitcoin Core QT in Win 11 on: June 18, 2023, 11:02:33 PM
It seems Sparrow wallet detects that you are using the same wallet which is why you get the self-transfer warning you might need to separate them according to this link below you can separate them with different sets of configs.

I suggest check the sparrow.log you can find it under the sparrow home folder or by going to the Help > Show Log File. You should see on the logs why this warning popup
1363  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Impossible to Solve Ledger Live Crash on: June 18, 2023, 10:37:44 PM
Would you mind to try this below if you are Windows

- Uninstall the ledger live again
- Goto program and files then delete the ledger live folder
- Go to appdata and delete the ledger folder
- Press the Windows+R key on the keyboard and type this %temp% then enter
- Delete all files from that folder
- Restart the PC and try to open it again.

You can also follow the guide from Ledger on how to fully uninstall Ledger Live here https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/7643373623453-How-to-fully-uninstall-Ledger-Live-?docs=true

If it still crashing try to use another PC/Laptop and install the ledger live there to test if it is just your PC or your ledger device.
1364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTC Full Node listen=0 on: June 18, 2023, 02:27:19 PM
When using listen=1 you are likely exposing your IP to someone who wants to connect to your node and there is a potential risk on listen=1 without using TOR or hidden service malicious nodes/attackers can attempt to exploit something in your node.
Since it reveals your IP to someone you already compromise your privacy and it consumes much CPU and memory.

However, if you want to participate on the network you can leave it enabled but make sure to enable Tor service to avoid malicious attacks.
1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I created my token and launched it on launchpad, but I don't have money for adve on: June 18, 2023, 01:57:03 PM
If you don't have the knowledge to promote your own project then try to learn SEO on-page or off-page SEO its free traffic comes from the SERP.
Actually, without money you can't get more exposure you will need to hire experts or a campaign manager to promote your project.

And honestly, what I see from your token it is a churn and burn or meme token that usually dies fast.
1366  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19j Pro 104th chips state is "normal" but wont hash??? on: June 18, 2023, 01:42:53 PM

But in the first kernel log he posted it was not showing 0 asic for the bad hashboard, which is why we started talking about the EPROM, if shows 0 asic then that is a different story, it is likely the hashboard is dead and needs repair, in other words, it is unlikely to be software related.

Opppsss.... that was my mistake I didn't review the previous logs I thought that I saw it on the image but the image only shows that the first hashboard is abnormal.

I got my sd-card adapter. Apparently its USB 3.0 but luckily 3.0 is backwards compatible all the way down to 1.1.

I flashed the image onto the adapter, stuck it in, booted it up and nothing. I go to the ip address and its still the old firmware.

From my understanding, it should have auto-installed after boot-up...

You might did it wrong that is why the version didn't change and sometimes fake SD card have fake voluke that can turn some files corrupted so try to re place a SD card.

Also there is a detailed guide on how to flash this unit through OTG/SD card check this link below

If still didn't work then like other said and my previous post boot it with Braiins OS you can che the guide below how to boot or flash the miner with Braiins.

1367  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: paper wallet generation software on: June 17, 2023, 07:15:31 PM
How about doing it manually instead of using the CLI tool to generate a key pair?
Have you heard that you can generate a key pair by using a coin?

If not, then it should be the best where you can randomly generate a unique private key from Coin Flipping.

We have a guide on the forum on how to do that check this link below

Once you've done generating a binary convert it to a hex and then use the bitaddress as suggested above and run it offline and convert the hex to the Wif key and public key.

WIF key should be supported to any wallet like Bitcoin core or Electrum.
1368  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19j Pro 104th chips state is "normal" but wont hash??? on: June 17, 2023, 04:40:45 AM

This shows that the 3rd chain is dead, in the op it was chain 0 ( labeled 1 in the GUI), did you swap these two hashboards?

Yes he did that was my suggestion on my previous post to know if the cable is damaged or the hashboard is dead.

Don't you find it strange that its defective yet no issue with my logs?

I am very unlucky. I dont have the sd-card version. I will order the adapter and load up Braiins OS and report back.

EDIT: Will this adapter work?
https://www.amazon.ca/Sandisk-SDDD3-016G-G46-Cellphone-Signal-Booster/dp/B01M1272LZ/

I don't see any strange logs except on the abandon mix board and 0 ASIC on the 3rd hashboard.
If we see these logs like the Abadon mix board the first thing that comes to my mind like Philipma1957 said that 3rd hashboard might be a replacement board which is why it stop mining due to the EEPROM compatibility issue.

About the OTG SanDisk, that thing might work but I'm not sure if the s19j pro USB port support USB 3.0 and it's a bit expensive why not just buy a Micro USB port to USB female connector which is cheaper if you already have a USB flash drive.
1369  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19j Pro 104th chips state is "normal" but wont hash??? on: June 16, 2023, 11:37:40 PM
Code:
2023-06-16 22:30:37 abandon mix board!
2023-06-16 22:30:37 abandon mix board!

2023-06-16 22:31:31 Chain[0]: find 126 asic, times 0
2023-06-16 22:31:33 Chain[1]: find 126 asic, times 0
2023-06-16 22:31:35 Chain[2]: find 0 asic, times 0
2023-06-16 22:31:37 Chain[2]: find 0 asic, times 1
2023-06-16 22:31:38 Chain[2]: find 0 asic, times 2
2023-06-16 22:31:38 Chain 2 only find 0 asic, will power off hash board 2
2023-06-16 22:31:38 ERROR_SOC_INIT: soc init failed!

The issue from logs still the same as from your previous logs removing the 3rd hashboard and keeping the two hashboards should run normally with decrease hashrate.

As suggested by mikeywith you can try Braiins OS to test if it is just an EEPROM issue but the problem is as you said before that it does not have the SD card slot have you checked the control board inside and maybe the SD card slot is hiding near Ethernet socket or beaglebone ?
Or if does not have an SD slot then your last hope is to use an OTG drive to micro USB to boot Braiins OS in your unit.
1370  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying Crypto With visa and mastercard on: June 16, 2023, 11:14:34 PM
Why not use a P2P exchange that doesn't require KYC? You can easily find someone there who sells USDT without giving ID and a selfie.
Check this tool below

Or if you looking for a well-known P2P exchange where you can buy USDT you can check https://bisq.network/
Optional if you also want to buy BTC or XMR you can use Agora Desk check their official thread here AgoraDesk.com | Buy ♻️ Sell Bitcoins Anonymously!
1371  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Pirated Windows builds with crypto stealer on: June 16, 2023, 10:31:59 PM
There are few people in my circle who occasionally come to me for installing windows on their machine and I just download the OS from official site and then patch the windows activation into it. It works fine.
I think you talking about KMS**** to spoof or to activate your Windows 10 which is an illegal tool and could also have some adware or malware. I've tried that thing on my old Laptop I notice some added software on Task Manager after using that tool and every time I restart the Laptop it also runs in the background which I think may be software that monitors all my activity.

Be very careful if you still using this PC with patch activation and maybe they are waiting for a huge transaction before they are going to attack your PC actually, you can use Windows 10 without activating it but have limited features however, it is still safer than patched Activation.
1372  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Neo and Atomic wallet : how can I move the neo or swap for btc ? on: June 16, 2023, 09:37:42 PM
If I don't have gas, what can I do ?

Sorry if my questions sounds stupids  Undecided

Transferring Neo token to another wallet or exchange always requires a Gas fee but if you stake Neo you can claim free gas that you can use to transfer Neo to another wallet/exchange.
Atomic Wallet has a guide on how to claim a free gas check this link below.

1373  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is there interest in a standalone low power miner? on: June 16, 2023, 01:49:20 PM
Such a nice project I'd like to have them but still it depends on the price of this unit and it depends on the specs like how much power this miner can consume (it looks the same as Compac F that can be consumed around 15w).

I like the dashboard the design is very simple and since you said you can connect through wifi and it doesn't need Raspi because the board is Arduino then that's a big advantage compared to Compact F.
So for me, I like it but I don't know if I can afford it that is why like I said it depends on the price of your miner.

It seems the idea comes from Duino mining from Gunther where you can mine Duco?
1374  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: S19 & L7 Cheap dedicated asic rental service on: June 15, 2023, 11:18:24 PM
Are you based in Thailand or your business location is in Thailand?
It's weird because you are using .us Domain.

Another is I can't find where to sell hashrate and it is more likely a cloud mining site we know that almost 99% of them are scams.
Do you have any proof of running machines from your data center?
1375  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1041 help on: June 15, 2023, 10:57:58 PM
can you just add another one in series and plug it into the control box (raspberry pi module) and have it "just work"?
I think yes if it does not have Ethernet socket then it requires control box/Raspberry pi and auc3.
However, base on the old guide from this link below it is already have a built-in controller so you don't need them in order to communicate to the unit unlike old models like 721, 741, 761, 821 and 841 that requires both auc3 and control box.

1376  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How Do You Get Out Of A Trade in Coinbase? on: June 15, 2023, 05:41:45 AM
How Do I Get Out Of The Trade Without Canceling It?

There's no way without canceling the trade if you already made a profit by holding BTC or losing a profit then the only way to get out of the trade is to exchange it to FIAT or USDT.

Are you still selling orders for BTC higher than the current price since you said it is still open I don't get what your point but if you already made a profit with BTC cancel the order and trade it right away with the current price to exit?
1377  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S19 Troubleshooting on: June 15, 2023, 12:21:44 AM
I updated to the merge release 20221227070716. My previous update was to the November 2021 edition, so per the instructions (r 2021), I went straight to this one.

Cannot explain the problem, or why fan 3 claimed to be spinning at 10800 RPM, but glad it is working now after a firmware update.

Strongly suspect there is a fan that was malfunctioning...

I do not recommend to run the miner with only 3 fans it wouldn't be enough to cool down your miner while mining because if the miner overheats you just shorten the lifespan of your hashboard so you better wait for your ordered fans before running the miner again.
And about the RPM it might be just an airflow imbalance as said above having extra fans is a good way to troubleshoot this case.
1378  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Fun & learning with Electrum EPS, Electrum wallet & Bitcoin Core QT in Win 11 on: June 14, 2023, 11:39:39 PM
I suggest enable the debug log in your Electrum wallet to troubleshoot the issue you can enable it under tools> preferences> Misc then click write logs to file. Restart Electrum and try to connect again on that IP:Port.

If the above suggestion does not work maybe you are using an old version of the EPS I heard someone fix their issue by upgrading it to the latest version according to this link below or switch to ElectrumX.

1379  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Problem Sending BTC using Ledger with Electrum Wallet on: June 14, 2023, 11:14:20 PM
So your problem is it keeps repeating when sending BTC with Electrum and it keeps bringing you back to step one.
Have you checked if your ledger device is up to date if not update the device first and try again and also make sure that you are using the latest Electrum wallet.

I tried to search and I heard that this warning "derivation path is unusual" is an old derivation path vulnerability issue on Ledger some of them suggest to update the device and some of them suggest that you need to enable or disable the change address on the Electrum wallet to fix this issue.
1380  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are the analogues of the site BestChange? on: June 14, 2023, 03:04:36 PM
I never heard any similar one to BestChange that's the only current well-known and trusted one.

Would you mind telling us why looking for alternatives?

Anyway, check this one below I use some of their exchange partners before that supported crypto and they do also have trust scores the only problem is the exchange that I used before ended closing their business(I like their cheap rates).
