1361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is being too nice. Most people don't deserve the chance to buy it so cheap. on: June 22, 2022, 10:44:11 PM
The ones who will miss this train also might never see another. Do you really think BTC will be so cheap for the next years to come? Once it goes in the $1xx,xxx zone you better get used to it.

BTC is being too nice because most people don't deserve another chance after they had thousands of chances to buy it cheap and did nothing.
Bitcoin is not bound to stay in low price forever. What we have have at the moment is only temporary, bitcoin will eventually recover just like what history has taught us. So while the market is in downtrend, just grab the chance to invest as you can't be sure if this will still happen again in the near future. Lucky for those who have prepared huge funds to buy back again as they have more chances to make the best of profits in time. But sorry for those who are going to miss another opportunity like this.
1362  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Over-Speeding Kills, Always Slow Down When Driving A Car on: June 22, 2022, 09:57:32 PM
~snip~

This is a true life story, i didnt make any part of that conversation up , I really hope we all learn, most especially newbies, crypto currency transactions are not the kind of transaction one does in a hurry or while driving or while busy with other things, crypto transactions require full focus and 100 percent attention to details , to avoid  being a victim to this kind of occurrence, this is probably the first of this kind of story as ive never heard this kind before.

Your friend must have park in the safe place first before he did his transaction so he won't be making mistakes while doing his money transaction. But maybe he didn't realized that until he experienced it by himself. He could just have reviewed the address first before sending because that is the right thing to do to avoid sending in a wrong address. But maybe the damage is done, his money is lost, so he must have learned his big lesson for the first time, and learn to avoid doing it again.
1363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom For Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2022, 09:18:26 PM
What do you think will be the bottom for Bitcoin, from which it will begin to recover? Another question is whether now is the best time to invest or whether waiting for more dump is advisable.
Unfortunately, no one is good enough to predict the bottom price of bitcoin. Everything are just speculations and they only based their predictions from their own market analysis. But hey, looking at the current bitcoin price, its already a good price to buy and hold. So start investing and never wait for another dump as you may lose the chance again to invest. Do DCA so you can be sure you're not missing the bottom price if its really the bottom of this bearish market.
1364  Economy / Economics / Re: Should we embrace a cashless policy?? on: June 22, 2022, 08:34:24 PM
Depends since not all the country is technology ready, there are country still struggle to have decent internet speed also there are others doesn't know much more about this technology so I guess this is only applicable on the country which is advance in new innovative things.

But for 1st world countries they can try to implement this and if they succeed with this which is already happening in some parts of china then provably in upcoming years 3rd world countries could follow this.
I think this cashless policy has already been practiced in most countries as we have seen that we are now more dependent on our credit and debit cards for payment, and we even have local exchanges that we can pay directly from it. So it may only take few years from now before we can finally say that cashless policy in all parts of the world is already good to practice. Although physical fiat is still mostly preferred by most of the individuals, but practicing cashless transactions is also seen more fast and more convenient.
1365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8 months low, no better time than now. on: June 21, 2022, 09:47:51 PM
So much have been in the fore play in Bitcoin and to that a lot of issues have forced Bitcoin to behave in the current behavior, from sec calling Bitcoin an anti-environment and eco friendly even though we know all this are campaign of fallacy championed by anti Bitcoin crusader.
There will always be attacks in bitcoin, and that will always be inevitable as long as bitcoin continues to become mainstream. But as history repeats, seeing what is happening right now has already been a scenario in the past, then we should not be triggered by the current downtrend as bitcoin will eventually recover when the timing is right and when the market is already stable. For now, enjoy the opportunities we have onhand, as we can never see them again once bitcoin price skyrocket again.
1366  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking Loans - Is it ideal? on: June 21, 2022, 08:58:18 PM
I have a friend who are keep on asking me if taking loans just to buy Bitcoin is ideal thing to do so?
I understand the market is very cheap right now, and because of this I just want to share some tips especially to those newbies who are also considering the same thing.

Before you apply for a loan make sure to consider this first.

1. How much money you can afford to take the risk?
2. Is the profit enough to repay the loan, is there any guarantee?
3. Can you still repay the loan even if the market continues to drop?
4. Is your collateral enough to cover your loans?
5. Are you confident about your investment decision?

These are the common questions for myself before taking loan for the purpose of reinvesting, I know this can be a good opportunity to increase your holdings but if you don't have the funds yet, better not to rush yourself and just wait for the right moment. Taking loans is good if you are responsible enough to repay it, but if you think you can't better not to apply at all.

Taking loans for investment is something that one should always think it wisely because once its done, you will start to embrace your future struggles repaying it. Good thing if you end up investing in the right coins  and then end up prospering, but if your investments fails and never succeed, then its time for you to start looking for another means just to repay your loan. So its certainly very unhealthy to take loans especially if you have no other means that will generate an income, its better to save first and wait for the right timing that you are ready to invest.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 21, 2022, 12:13:27 PM
Their new coach Darvin Ham says in public that he can work with Westbrook, as to what stretch? we will know later. And I think they are going to retain LBJ, AD and Russ as the core and maybe chance the supporting cast all over again. They should learn from the Warriors organization as how to build a championship team, a dynasty. The only problem is that those stars are also aging, so maybe a couple of years to see if they can make another championship run.
LeBron and Russ will remain with the Lakers. AD? Maybe we might see him getting traded but with how fragile he is, I don't think that there will be any team who will risk it but who knows. As to Coach Ham, it will be his first season as a head coach of a team but he is an assistant coach with the Bucks and we don't know if he will be a perfect fit for the team. Let's not expect too much at first I guess. Maybe he will be like Coach Ime Udoka that he carried his team in the NBA Finals with his first season as a head coach or he will get fired and pick another coach again.

The problem with the Lakers last season is their management. They made some ridiculous trades and because of that, we've seen a roster of players who mostly aged 30 or more. Aside from the Coach which is already done, maybe they might need to change the whole management or if they don't do it then I just hope that they will make a good trades that will help them get a title again. Those aged players in the Lakers must be traded and get younger and more talented players. A good job for the Warriors organization and how they are built.

I don't know if it's a good thing to trade Davis, I mean he was the one who help the Lakers win a championship, without him, Lebron would not win a championship. Lakers needs a good center, and since Westbrook is very inconsistent, then I would not expect the Lakers to improve next season.

So what really happen with Calvin Abueva?

The words JAPAN! JAPAN! JAPAN! and BYE PBA! that's big, is here serious with that, and will soon leave the PBA for JAPAN?

He was really frustrated because he thought there should be no call, but the words coming from his mouth, it simply tells that he is not 100% happy playing with the PBA.
1369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Crossed 20k USD!! Don’t lose hope now. on: June 20, 2022, 11:27:23 PM
So Bitcoins have started recovering as we can see from the charts.
Yesterday Bitcoins were at 17k USD and now currently it has crossed 20k USD. It’s now at around 20,800 USD and it’s still increasing.
It’s not yet late to buy the Bitcoins, those have panicked and sold their Bitcoins, now it’s time again to buy it.
Don’t know whether it’s the end of the bear market or not, but still the price have given us the Bitcoin traders a great hope.
Hope soon Bitcoin recovers it’s price, and we all will end up with great profits.
What are your thoughts on this?
It’s always those who never lose hope and continue to seize the opportunities will always make it big when the bull season comes. Those who panic will eventually gain nothing but feel regrets in the end. But hey, it’s not yet late to change your mindset and go buy some bitcoin. The price has not yet fully recover and has even chances that it will drop again. It’s still a good time to buy and hold for great profits in the future.

1370  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: June 20, 2022, 09:37:07 PM
Recently I was reading one of the famous books called " Rich Dad and Poor Dad". This quote just changed my thoughts and reduces my depression. Like many others, I myself also made a huge loss in this recent BTC crash.

When I first came to the crypto world I start with only a laptop. This was all I have and I made a good amount of money because of the last bull season. But because of poor money management and lack of experience, I took a big amount of loss too. I do make some losses but the lesson learned is priceless.

1. Money management is very important. It is better to have some plan than no plan.
2. Opportunity will come again and again so do not FOMO.
3. Anything could go to zero no matter how big the project is(Luna disaster).

Now I know how cash circulates into the crypto markets. I know fundamentals are the most important part of a project. I again could do mistakes in the next bull season but I will be more mature than to handle the situation. I do take some losses but the lesson it gave me would save a hell lot of money in the future.
That's a good thing that you were able to realize the significance of losses because its the only way that we will start learning in the crypto. No one would be able to skip losses in this volatile market as losses are always essential for our learning process to takes place. That is why there's no need to fear about losing in the crypto market, its always a good strategy to motivate you and discover your strengths and skills that will give you an edge in crypto.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you Considered a Career in Betting Consultancy? on: June 17, 2022, 09:35:45 PM
Quote
Arguably the UK’s most notorious sports bettor, Tony Bloom, is the owner of Starlizard, a company that describes itself as a betting consultancy.

Based out of Camden, London, Starlizard is also the sole adviser for Bloom’s betting syndicate, who every weekend have £1 million riding on any given football game.

This makes Starlizard the biggest betting syndicate in Britain and it is believed they make roughly £100 million a year, but that would be an average year.

Due to the secrecy surrounding the company, little is known about their total earnings, although it’s quite safe to assume it’s in the billions of pounds.

Starlizard’s 160 employees use complex statistical models to generate football odds that are more accurate than those offered by bookmakers. They even take into account the weather forecast and the overall morale of a team!

These ‘sharper’ odds are then sold to their clients so they themselves can beat the market! His much respected advice generates £13.8 million annually from customers.1

Betting consultants are gurus who have cracked the secret code of increasing one's chances of beating the bookies and sportsbooks. They provide professional betting advice to clients. Betting consultants have the experience, the reputation (they have consistently generated profits for clients over time), the expertise, and the necessary information needed to make the right betting decision. They are not Jack of all trades instead, they have their specialty. Specializing in one or more but not all of the following sports - Football, Baseball, Boxing, Horse Racing, Cricket, Basketball, UFC, Golf, and Motosport at both the professional and other levels. According to ZipRecruiter, the national average salary of a Sports Betting Consultant per year in the US is $69,887. 2

Just like Tony Bloom and others, it is possible that you can turn your hobby into a profitable business venture if you are confident of your skillsets. Have you ever considered a career in betting consultancy?

Not at all because i know how risky it is and it puts a lot of pressures on you knowing a lot of gamblers have been relying on your picks. And basically, it also needs a lot of knowledge and experience before you can consider yourself an expert, but still that does not guarantee that all your picks will be considered winning bets. However, if one is capable of it and can manage all the risk it takes, i guess there's nothing wrong being a betting consultant. You just have to be very precise on your picks so that the people will not curse you.
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it so hard to win at gambling? on: June 17, 2022, 08:23:06 PM
It's because the casino has house edge, so by design, they will always going to win specially if you play long games in any casino. And that's how they make money from us gamblers. Of course, who doesn't want to win more? it's just human nature that we are greedy. So unless you don't control yourself, you might end up losing and then become addicted to it. So if you chance, you won some money already, don't stretch your luck, maybe it's better if you will exit and enjoy your winnings.
Gambling will always favor the house, so the house will always have to win, and the bettors are mostly left with more losses compared to their wons. And while these players continue to chase for their losses, looks like they are adding more profits to the casinos and making them still in the losing end. So there's no easy way to win in gambling, even if you think you are professional gambler, that won't make you avoid the inevitable losses in gambling.
1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High odds or low odds, which do you prefer? on: June 17, 2022, 07:57:44 PM
Let us assume that high odds start from 1.5 and above while low odds starts from 1.2 and below.

I specifically like football gambling. When I started to gamble, I go for high odds, but I was not that experienced and I lost a lot. I gained experience but I preferred to gamble on low odds. Only what this led me to is to play more and I noticed losses too. This is just a means someone can also become addicted because low odds will only want you to accumulate and bet more. If you bet more frequently than usual, regardless of the odd, be it high or low, loss is inevitable, it is guaranteed.

I play less often unlike before, I reduced the money I am using to bet, emotions gone and I win than before. How about you people, are you high odd punter or low odd. Can you also tell us your experience? At you losing or you make profit from the odds you are taking?
If you can afford to lose from betting high odds, i guess that's what is more important. But for me, i mostly go for low odds when i think the game is something i'm not really an expert and that anytime i know i will lose. But for some games that i think i have an edge like bastketball, betting in high odds is what i'm always fond of. Although i'm not excuse from losses but i see myself winning more than losing my funds every time i gamble.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Mantra After, while playing And Before You Gamble on: June 17, 2022, 07:25:02 PM
LOL Cheesy, did you guys actually win every bet when you cast those spells? Unlike you, I don't believe it, every bet must have a 50:50 percentage for wins and losses.

Things like that actually have no effect on gambling, I used to have sacred items before gambling, I believe that when I carry those items, I will be lucky. But when I gamble, instead of winning, I lose. After I saw several articles related to it, I realized that all these things are suggestions that make our self-confidence increase.
Maybe for OP it’s still working but for most of us, it’s ineffective. The reason why I stopped doing mantra a long time ago since gambling is mostly based on luck, even if you do a lot of mantra as long as you’re not lucky that time, winnings are hard to attract. For OP, continue what you’re doing if you are gaining advantage on it. After all, we have different strategies on how to win, yours is quite different too and I respect that.

1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The digital ID for Gambling on: June 17, 2022, 06:18:55 PM
Apparently Denmark is all Set to Launch the new Digital ID rules for Gambling in the upcoming July. They have already been using some sort of identification but apparently this is new and improved and would apply for all the gamblers willing to submit their ID and use the services. EasyID is now going to be Replaced by MyID. The license holders of online casino would have to now integrate their systems in the manner that the government prefers. People are still waiting for an update but I would like to know what you think about the system of online ID? Integrating it with gambling might be saving some kids going on these sites but it might also be taking all the privacy away. What are your thoughts on this ?
Reference:
https://www.gamblinginsider.com/news/16594/denmark-to-introduce-new-digital-id-rules-in-july
Somehow it has good advantage since it would lessen the cases if not stopped on the minors that continue to gamble without their parents' consent. They can focus more on their studies than giving most of their time to gambling activities. However, the privacy of each gambler may also be at stake since its going to ask for personal details of each gambler and there is no way you can avoid paying taxes for that. Honestly, this still falls for government taking advantage on the gamblers' profits.
1376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Crypto Winter on: June 16, 2022, 11:46:31 PM
Since its creation Bitcoin has experienced a total of 3 "bear seasons" and we are in season 4 right now.

The most recent bear season happened in 2018-2020, At the end of 2017, the Bitcoin craze was because by the panicking of the investors. In 2017 Bitcoin gained $20K value from $1K.Then it dumped of a sudden more than 80% and dropped the value near around $3k within Q4 of 2018, resulting in the total cryptocurrency market cap falling by more than 80%.

After the halving year 2020, we go through the highest bull season max x20.8 times increased, and we acquired the height value of around $67K within Q4 of 2021. Currently, bitcoin is trading at $23.44k.

Where will bitcoin's final bottom level be during this bear season and what will be bitcoin's new ATH level in the next bull season?

Your input will be greatly appreciated.

Whatever you say it crypto winter or bearish season, the market will always be unpredictable especially its topmost price and its bottom price. No one knows it that is why we always take advantage when there are dips happening as we don’t know eventually as how long the market will be able to recover. But for certain, bitcoin will never stay for long dumping, it will always surge and reach a new all time high.
1377  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is the crash in bitcoin price a threat to forum existence? on: June 16, 2022, 11:25:23 PM
Bitcoins and its related discussions is the subject matter and major objective why this forum was first created after bitcoins from my observation, but considering the current dump in bitcoin, assuming that the prices never goes up and bitcoin ceases to exist or looses value completely, will this forum continue to function?
How did you come up with this kind of analysis? Honestly, there’s no connection between the price of bitcoin and if ever the closure of the forum. Bitcoin will always dump its price so does it means it always threat the forum? That’s not going to happen even if they become inseparable, the forum may be closed in the future but that’s maybe for another reason, not because bitcoin has dropped its value.
1378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies: Don't panic and learn to hold on: June 16, 2022, 10:38:56 PM
My idea is a Bitcoin holder does not need to panic if they had an investment plan when getting in.

What pushes one to panic sell or cut their losses is when they invested more that they can afford to lose and with the current drop they saw their savings getting wiped out on the charts.
Buying smartly means that one invests spare money and at a controlled period of time; if the market dips, it does not affect you much as you have enough to foot your daily expenses. You basically sell when you want.

Those who fomo in at the top and end up selling off 4 months later already made mistakes from the beginning and no doubt would still have to sell as they need the money.
That is why newbies should never enter the market if they are not financially prepared because if they do, its like a suicidal. Most particularly if they always invest on their hard earned money, i think that alone is very risky. So if they make decisions to enter the market and invest, rest assured that they won't expect for quick profits as that won't never happen. If they have good financial management and have separate their savings from their investment funds, then they will never resort into panicking and stay hodling when the market becomes unstable.

Cryptocurrency is now in a big crashing. And whole crypto marketcap now under $1Trillion. What will the next? and How long do you think it will take for the market to recover?
As long as the bearish season is not over, all of them will eventually fall lower than their current prices. That is always expected, and to think that its not the first time to happen, then we should know that the market is only repeating its history. And once positive news fill in the market, bitcoin will dominate again and influence the whole crypto coins with its positive price. But the problem is, we can't tell when positivity hits the market again.
1380  Economy / Speculation / Re: It goes same way people never learn btc 30k on: June 16, 2022, 07:44:01 PM
People never learn now those whos scared to buy btc will be ONes who buy btc when btc 50-60k.
Its now dip but people always scared of dips and they prefer to buy from top not from lows.
30k is most scared price range many hope it goes lower but instutions data shows very small possibility tht btc ever can go much lower .

I believe not all people can understand the effects of buying coins when the market is bullish, or even when the market is bearish. As long as they have bought like bitcoin, they started to feel safe and secured even when the timing is bad. Well, if you just hold it for long term, i guess you won't end up losing. But if you aim to maximize your profits when bull run appears, its always the dips the right timing to buy and hold. Especially with bitcoin's present price which is $21,021, certainly a very good price to buy.
